Man…. I have to replace my turbos and after reviewing this video… I’m
Super discouraged… I know I have the skills to do the job …. It’s just the time and having a place to leav the car ….. so that I’d be able to work on it … take a break … or have at it for a few days…. If you had to prove a job like this ??? What number would you put on it ???
There’s ways you can do it by going through the top
I just did my 08 Xi. Did the oil pan gasket, rod bearings, turbos and a new valve body in the trans. It really is not that hard to do. The subframe is literally 6 bolts, and 4 motor mount bolts. 2 bolts for the steering rack. Axles are a 2 minute job to pull. It sounds so much harder than it really is. It is time consuming, but not hard to do. I actually had to drop the subframe again because my rear turbo oil drain o ring got pinched lol. But it was so sooo worth it. These pure stage 2's with AWD man it is a F'n riot.

@@AutoDad i know the ebay turbos wastegate flappers dont come adjusted from factory meaning when the car pulls full vacuum the gate may still be open. And you would be loosing boost
Everything seemed fine until I hit 32psi and blew the charge pipe. Now bank 1 is pegged super lean and bank 2 is fine. No idea what happened
Ya u need to adjust the wastegate to 6 hg in vacuum u broke the downpipe because your overboosting ur lucky u didnt blow the engine
