I've never done a readathon, but I've been wanting to this year. This seems like an easy enough one to jump into, not too overwhelming, and well timed since I might have a lot less reading time come September with a potential new job. Gotta make August extra bookish!

Now to decide a team…I’m a mood reader who can’t make decisions and loves lists and TBRs lol.
I think I’ll go for the tbr team because my favorite videos are TBRs and if I don’t have some sort of list or pile of possibilities I will never end up reading anything because I can’t any choose from all the books lol

Not me being like 'I bet I could read each point option for each card!' and then realizing... that this is a month-long reading challenge, and completing each card *once* would mean reading fifty-two books in a month!

I’m here from Chloe’s channel. Just making sure I understood-for the ace, participants can choose either yours or Chloe’s prompt or do we choose from our team leader (is there a team leader?)? I hope my question made sense.
Your question makes perfect sense! There are no team leaders. Chloe and I are just the game masters 😊 And you are correct, you can choose from either mine or Chloe's YT short! You can check out both and pick the prompt you like better!

I had a death in the family, and not too interested in reading at this time, I am slowly
picking it up again, but not sure if I will read a lot during August.

This sounds like so much fun! I want to participate, but I am participating in Orilium for the first time, and I am already planning on being very ambitious. I know it doesn't follow the spirit or rules, but would it be possible for me to forgo the deck and just see what prompt each book I finish reading fits and log it that way? Then, I can still participate in a way that works with Orilium. If not, I completely understand and I hope everyone has a blast. Hopefully I can participate next time. Also I am very much a TBR person so go team red!
Orilium is taking place in September this year. She said this is probably how it will work moving forward, April and September now. I hope that helps.

I was going to say make it work however is best for both readathons, but sounds like Orilium is in September! Excited to have you participate, Whitney!! 😊
@BekahBooksandBujo While I am bummed about Orilium (September doesn't work for me), I am excited I can participate in your readathon. I actually just did my card pulls and was able to make all but one book I needed to read work.

You'll get a number on the board every time you draw! Suits do not matter. So a 3 of any suit corresponds to the 3 prompt!

@@alesswonderland hah! I know, it’s always so hard to decide. Some work really well together and others not so much.
What if you don't have a book to fill a prompt. I looked at the prompts I don't read series or books over 400 pages?
