I’ve been trying this race for like 4 days. Tried a bunch of tunes and strategies. Best finish is 17th…..and it’s on normal difficulty. The AI is just WAY faster than me. Don’t make sense.
Try the SF Honda 19 with racing hard tyres. No pit. Be gently on the corners. Do not hold The overtake butum, just use it on the flats and 5th or 6th gear
@@italocruzguidolini2927 I e got the sf23, need to save up for the 19 then huh? I been running racing softs, and hards. I did manage a 6th place finish. But still harder than heck! Lol
@@phixionless I Won at Watkins Glen with SF Toyota 23 no problem using Racing Mediano just 1 pit stop. Nothing works in St Croix. The SF 19 os more apropriare to that track.
Damn, youre pretty good at this, is it easier using the steeringwheel compared to normal ps5 controller? No matter how hard i try, i cant get below 1.50 per lap😂
There is definitely an advantage to using a steering wheel and pedals but its not worth the price in my opinion. You can definitely achieve the lap times I do on controller for sure. Practice makes perfect. I appreciate the compliment mate. Ive had close 2 decades of experience across racing games and racing sims. Anyone can be fast if you have the time and motivation.
Practice makes perfect mate but it’s definitely not worth your sanity. The rewards are the same for all difficulties. Keep practicing against them on the hardest difficulty because you will improve over time. Take your time tho, don’t force progression.
Wow. That made life a lot easier. I also used 'Praiano's' setup for the SF23. Managed to get into 1st place before pitting on the 5th lap. Then never looked back.
it would take some practice but it's definitely achievable using a controller. I haven't used a controller on any racing game for about 5 years so it would take some getting used to, just like for anyone that is used to playing on a controller and starting out on a wheel and pedal setup for the first time it would be difficult as well. This strategy and setup will work if you're consistent and fast enough.

@@carnage1088 I understand what you’re saying but like any video game it takes patience and practice to learn how to play it. It can be frustrating and that’s where patience comes in, either take a break and try again or you could change the difficulty settings. There is 3 difficulty settings for all players with any level of experience. The rewards for winning on easy are the same for the hardest difficulty. Try it in the lower difficulty settings first and once you can beat the AI on that setting increase the difficulty.
I'm no expert but I raced with these settings but I think the ride height needs to be taken up slightly or little less downforce on either front or rear. I kept getting small bumps around certain corners
I ran the lowest downforce setting for this race. I didnt really have any issues with the bumps with this setup and wanted to keep the setup as straight forward as possible so more people could understand it.
Without changing on intermeds during rain it was absoluety impossible to finish Fuji Speedway on podium for me. Tryed several set ups but standard on wet conditions worked.
@@alexkrenn9508 I only play once a week so this Sunday I will give Fuji Speedway another go. It didn't rain when I first played just very cloudy. If I struggle I tend to play three times a week instead of once a week. More practice then better chance. Maybe I will post the video when I'm done.
@@alexkrenn9508 Played it today I've gotten faster but dead last because I have to pit. Definitely have to put more time into this (if I have time) Fuji Speedway not the one he's on..I already beat that. Edit came in 8th then it started to rain lol
@@IllusArt I wasted too much time by minding track limits in the first left corner or the chicane. You really have to push very offensive from the beginning. @@PengWinUA-cam yeah, that’s fair if you don’t like them. I only wear them in my racing sim and when using my home gym. These socks are made by gymshark and are called studio socks mostly used for home gyms when you don’t want to use shoes in your own house but have either hard wood floors or tiles and when lifting heavy weights/ objects wearing normal socks could cause you to slip. The pedal plates I use are very slippery for normal socks and the pedals are very close together meaning shoes are too bulky and they can also be uncomfortable to wear after a few hours of racing so that’s why I use these socks.
@@PengWinUA-cam yeah agreed, they do look weird. I think the strap on the top is what makes them look weird. I actually have a few pairs and I tried removing the strap off 1 pair but they kept falling off my feet so I guess the strap is necessary for the design. There are definitely other socks out there with the rubber grips but these just work for what I originally bought them for which was my home gym and I decided to try them one day in my sim and they felt great. I was going to glue some rubber spots to my pedal plates to get the same results but decided not to. I’ve used them for so long now that I don’t really notice/ care about the design. Most socks with rubber grips are either long socks or kinda fluffy and while working out or using them in the sim my feet got too hot in them so the ones I use just tick more boxes.

How you do overtake on controller
Go into your controller settings on Gran Turismo and assign a button to the Overtake button.
if anyone still looks for it, R3 by default.
OMG I didn't know about that overtake button 🫠🙃 I'll do my best try, thnks for upload 🙌
