Yesterday I bought this car and put the setup you showed us. And OMG this thing is freaking fast. I can't imagine how you're able to keep this thing on the track as fast as you drive. I kept hitting the walls till I kinda got used to it. Took about 5 laps but. I boxed on lap 6 and actually won the race with 727,000 cr. The most I've ever won. Thanks for the inspiration. That would be perfect. At the moment I rely on golding the time trial every other week and getting the occasional decent payout from a daily ticket. I’ve done the circuit experiences so there’s only those options or grinding the same old tracks. If you could kick in the doors of PD’s offices and make this happen it would be much appreciated!

@@Doughtinator XJR-9 seems to be a little better with 1.31 update. 787B I hear is a solid option also, but I could never get the tune right. Of course, you could use MP4/4 or 1500A to grind Sardegna also.

I thought it was outdated by like 34 PP but I forgot I had a stupid turbo on lol. Still, it actually is over by a whopping .47 PP...I just don't know what to do now!😄
Things may have changed with recent updates. You could add ballast or reduce power to get the PP under 800 again. I do also have other tunes on my channel for WTC800 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator No need for such drastic measures, sir...literally 4-5 notches of extra downforce on the back does it lol. Downforce is a great way to make slight alterations to your PP...😆 I'm not going to outgrow that being funny. "My PP is huge!"

The gr.1 tomahawk absolutely smashes this one, I'm a shit driver and get 1:31-1:32s on fuel map 1 with 1:35s on fuel map 6. 1:59s pit makes it consistently under 24:20, best I've gotten so far was 24:09! Heard the Escudo and one of the hybrids do even better
I like using Racing Mediums so had to add ballast and detune a bit for PP800. Faster then my PP800 Nismo '08 but burns fuel a bit more and there's bit more wear on the tyres. Have to try this in Spa24 with hards.
Hello AL71B, Have you tried the 30min Le Mans race Pays just under or the Spa 1hr pays 1m + 500k clean race bonus. I have a Merc C9, a Mazda 787B and a 25th anniversary Redbull all tuned for spa great fun in all three. 😊
Even my ham-fistedness can do this! Just tried for the first time running with 6 on fuel, won easily and lapped two cars. Hard tires, one pit stop for fuel turned down to 6. Bonus was doing it clean and clearing 700K+ credits.

I have the Tomahawk for almost everything. I just change the setup for different races. For this race I have 799.98 pp. Always end up nearly 1 minute ahead by the finish.
Would be interesting if you build the car to PP to accommodate the medium tyres what difference it would make to your lap times and the time it takes to complete this race
I usually use medium tires (and sometimes softs) for this race with almost all of the cars I use. You can do quicker laps in other cars, like the McLaren F1 and Mazda 787, but one second here and there doesn't matter much. I'd rather keep switching cars. This Audi is a fun car to drive.
I don't remember what the natural weight balance of the car is, but you can add ballast and shift it until you've got 50:50 distribution and it still keeps your PP low. 50:50 is usually optimal.
I run fuel map 5, pit at lap 10. Run racing hards and don’t take tires during the stop. I still win by over 30 seconds. Lap times are slower though. 143 or 144
Can you please explain why my max. Torque is 494.8 and the others is around 60 this is why my car is going so slow with other cars can somebody please explain how i fix it?
@@Doughtinator slight short shifting but it's all in the gear ratios. I can talk you through it one time if you want as all my tunes for here are always map 1 all the way
@@stevehardy840 DRS alters the rear wing of the car on the go. When you press drs it changes the angle of the rear wing to create less drag enabling quicker acceleration and higher top speeds. You only use it on straights or acceleration zones, whilst you can use it round corners it's not really advisable. You have to map it in like you would boost or nitrous. I use a controller so can't help with the other part of your question

Very enjoyable Chris, I really enjoy your commentary and a nice build, though I live in Tokyo for the grind with the Escudo (due to appear in Haggerty's in April, I have it on good authority) I shall definitely take this out for a spin. This despite the Escudo being quicker here also, what a car, which is why they have kept it out of the game. The 2.5 mill new Porsche is also very usable at 🍋's and can be done with a no stop. I can't stress enough how much I liked this format and I am hopeful that it will be something that you will revisit in the not too near future, GG 👊😁 Like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅️

Did they somehow ruin the Acura GT2 race around the tokyo expressway? That race was 2.25m per hour and was doable in 1.13 I believe. I ran it to make 180m.
@@Doughtinator ahh ok, that one was the 800pp expressway race, 12 laps and gave 625k I think, you could lap it in like 1m 19s though so it was roughly 16 mins per race from menu to menu on ps5. Never had to pit or anything, just ran fuel on lean and sent it on intermediates.
I must be doing something wrong. My car is so slow. Won't get out of 5th gear. Doing 1.39s with best lap on low fuel a 1.37. I can still beat the game but somethings not right. Fuel map 3 all the way.
I stopped playing this game a while ago and at that time, the Toyota GR Hybrid was really good here. Is the DTM Audi a better choice now? I think i'll give this game another shot.

Brother if you think this car is the best for 800pp wait until you find out what the Redbull X2019 Competition is capable of 😅😅 I usually make 24 minutes using the Dualsense with automatic gear shifting and going on the grass a couple of times. That's the best handling car after the Tomahawk. You can get it for free with the Gold licences and it was free a couple of months ago with a special GT livery, or it's 3M in the dealership. I don't know why everyone keeps using Gr.1 2 or even 3 on this race, I've been using the Redbull for almost an year, give it a try.. 2 stops, no tyre changing, you can drive it blindfolded 😄👍🏻
1.8 million in an hour? I think the math is wrong. 1.31 unleashed the 787B. No stops around LeMans unless weather and a legitimate 1.7 million Cr per hour. Put the high turbo on it still under 800 and Sardegna and Spa are like falling off a log. Blows this car away. Thanks for the info tho. Always nice to try new cars.

Hello, mate. I'm relatively new to GT7. Just got it recently for my PSVR2. I'm confused af. I'm earning so much more than this. Only really done the menu books so far, have earned probably somewhere between half a Billion, and a Billion so far. And I dont think I have played more than 30 hours. Just bought the Prost/Senna F1 car, a 250,000,000 Enzo in an invitation sale or something, and a host of other stuff. But now I'm baffled. 😂It's weird because somebody has been dropping in my streams and asking how i have so much money already, and I've been like 'it's easy, dude. Just play the menus'. What is going on? 🤷♂️ Edit: Just watching my last stream back in case it was just for menu mode you get Big money, but on Spa my rewards are : Sunday Cup500 - 2 mil. Japanese Clubman Cup- 3mil. Porsche cup- 8.75mil. WTC- 8mil. WTC24hr (60 mins)-100mil. And GTcupGr3-12.5mil. My heads burnt, lol. What am I missing here?

There are quite a lot of A+ drivers, including Chris that utilise this wheel, if it functions as described then it truly doesn't matter what you use, ultimately it is you and not the wheel/controller that makes you quick or slow. Sardegna has been my go to for earning credits, the clean race bonus is very forgiving and such a fun track to race for 15 laps

I guess when you have purchased all the cars there is no need for the grind anymore, you can just enjoy the races regardless of the credits....

I've ran a 23.59 in it. Map 1 all the way on a 1 stop. Also I only used DRS on the last lap so it'll go quicker

Did they somehow ruin the Acura GT2 race around the tokyo expressway? That race was 2.25m per hour and was doable in 1.13 I believe. I ran it to make 180m.
Probably. They nerfed a lot of the glitch builds.
@@Doughtinator ahh ok, that one was the 800pp expressway race, 12 laps and gave 625k I think, you could lap it in like 1m 19s though so it was roughly 16 mins per race from menu to menu on ps5. Never had to pit or anything, just ran fuel on lean and sent it on intermediates.
The drs looks like it works but I couldn’t tell any difference in lap times.

I must be doing something wrong. My car is so slow. Won't get out of 5th gear. Doing 1.39s with best lap on low fuel a 1.37. I can still beat the game but somethings not right. Fuel map 3 all the way.

Most of the Gr2 cars can be easily detuned to 800pp and work really well. I think the Audi is the best Gr2 though.

Yeah man. The DTM drives great. With constant updates it’s hard to tell which cars are the best.
Well Honda nsx super gt only for 800,000 credits is best for sardegna 800 because it consumes low fuel than those gr3s on sardegna 800

You must be doing on medium or hard chillis difficulty. With that timings, you would have be 2 laps over every one AI or else

LeMans can only earn 1.65 million per hour maximum. It’s timed so there is no way to earn that faster.

I’m not sure what the DRS does ?
It reduces rear downforce abs therefore drag to give higher top speed. However the effect seems to be very minimal here 🤷🏻♂️

Brother if you think this car is the best for 800pp wait until you find out what the Redbull X2019 Competition is capable of 😅😅 I usually make 24 minutes using the Dualsense with automatic gear shifting and going on the grass a couple of times. That's the best handling car after the Tomahawk. You can get it for free with the Gold licences and it was free a couple of months ago with a special GT livery, or it's 3M in the dealership. I don't know why everyone keeps using Gr.1 2 or even 3 on this race, I've been using the Redbull for almost an year, give it a try.. 2 stops, no tyre changing, you can drive it blindfolded 😄👍🏻

If you have one of the Group C Gr1 cars they are even faster than this. I have a couple of videos with their tunes 👍🏻

1.8 million in an hour? I think the math is wrong. 1.31 unleashed the 787B. No stops around LeMans unless weather and a legitimate 1.7 million Cr per hour. Put the high turbo on it still under 800 and Sardegna and Spa are like falling off a log. Blows this car away. Thanks for the info tho. Always nice to try new cars.

@@Doughtinator That's a lot of rounding. lol. 727,500 x 2 = 1,455 mil on my calculator. Maybe it's the exchange rate? :-|~ FYI the 787 does 210+ MPH down the pit str8 in Sardegna, 190 on FM6. Simply a beast. If only we could get the Toyota 88.
With low 24 minute race time you can do about 2.4ish races per hour. So it’s the hourly rate rather than the credits per race within the hour.

Hello, mate. I'm relatively new to GT7. Just got it recently for my PSVR2. I'm confused af. I'm earning so much more than this. Only really done the menu books so far, have earned probably somewhere between half a Billion, and a Billion so far. And I dont think I have played more than 30 hours. Just bought the Prost/Senna F1 car, a 250,000,000 Enzo in an invitation sale or something, and a host of other stuff. But now I'm baffled. 😂It's weird because somebody has been dropping in my streams and asking how i have so much money already, and I've been like 'it's easy, dude. Just play the menus'. What is going on? 🤷♂️
Edit: Just watching my last stream back in case it was just for menu mode you get Big money, but on Spa my rewards are : Sunday Cup500 - 2 mil. Japanese Clubman Cup- 3mil. Porsche cup- 8.75mil. WTC- 8mil. WTC24hr (60 mins)-100mil. And GTcupGr3-12.5mil. My heads burnt, lol. What am I missing here?

There are quite a lot of A+ drivers, including Chris that utilise this wheel, if it functions as described then it truly doesn't matter what you use, ultimately it is you and not the wheel/controller that makes you quick or slow.
