Hadn't done this particular race because the variables eg, fuel and tire saving can get a bit annoying especially when you see the other cars going faster than you but to keep up you are wasting more fuel. I didn't know that you can change the fuel settings which really helped. I saw this video 2 weeks ago and managed to get a second place, believe it or not the car ran out of fuel after the last corner and the other car was right behind me. I thought right, ok next time you MF!!! That was the night before the last update. I went on the next day and every car has chronic oversteer, hard tires are all garbage, leading up to a corner and breaking under speed is more painful than waking up after knee replacement surgery. Would be interesting if you could do an update on this. But I've used your set up on a couple of other hybrids like the Toyota's and it's going to take some getting used to. Cool video though, almost got me there.

Monday 29 July 2024 (during Update 1,49) : I won with Alpine A220 Race Car on Easy Difficulty with following Stats: I did two Pitstops during Lap 12 filled Tank to 100% and in the last laps I filled Tank to 30% and still had 1min10 in Front of the R8 Gordini (that never pits). Tune: Comfort Soft, Ballast 118, Ballast Positioning: -31, Power Restrictor 70, ECU 70, Downforce 100-159 = 459,96 PP & 155 BHP, Weight 808kg. Drive consistent 2:25 and or 2:26. A 2:27 isn't a Drama when it happens but try to be consistent and It is an Easy win. R8 Gordini Driver (B Beauvois)nis the only Real danger since He never Pitstops.

Im up against an a.i. Thats running 1:23 laps on hard tyres and never pits pre update 1.49 other cars are running 1:23 on softs and pit. I was running 1:23 which is my best time on controller with no assists. And the best i managed to finish was 2nd because i got lucky with rain and tyre choice. This race is broken

I don’t know if they changed something, but I finally finished this crap in first with the 1.49 update. Did using the motionsense from dualsense

Thanks for doing these man. Your videos have helped me so much. As someone that came late to GT7 I've noticed all of the help videos are 2 years old before the updates and physics changes. I really appreciate you doing updated ones as I struggle through these challenges.

Update 1.49 Fuel has changed from X5 to X10 Car setup changes: ECU Output Adjustnt - 87 Ballast - 50 Power Restrictor - 87 Strategy change: At the start of the race put the fuel into level 3 and keep it there the entire race. You shouldn’t need to make a pit stop for this race.

You can do the same strategy except with Racing Medium tyres instead but this race has a high chance of rain anyway so you will most likely be changing to wet tyres at some point throughout the race.

If you were really good with managing tyre wear you might be able to make the tyres last the entire race but I don’t recommend it.

Update 1.49 Tyre wear has changed from X10 to X9 Strategy change recommendation: Change your tyres at the pit stop, you can make the tyres last the entire race but they will be very worn out and you will lose a lot of time. I used the Mustang in testing and it was fine but I advise trying other Gr.3 cars if the Mustang doesn’t suit your driving style, just make sure you’re following my strategy.

Update 1.49 Tyre wear has changed from X15 to X8 Strategy change recommendation: You can now make the Racing Hard Tyres last the entire race without needing to change them at the pit stop. I advise trying different Gr.3 cars until you find one that suits your driving style. I tested most Gr.3 cars for this race and I found the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3 worked best for this track and my driving style but it doesn’t mean it will work for you. Try other cars while using my strategy.

Renault Megane Trophy '11 (MR): Racing Hard, Downforce 150-350, ECU: 94, Ballast: 25, Power Restrictor 89 = PP 620.00, 300 BHP. 1 Pit at around Lap 24 or 25 to change Tyres again and if you want to be sure Fuelwise fill up Tank to 50% but it is probably not necessary. Had 30 Seconds lead at the End.

You can use a Radical Sr3 SL '13 with Sports Hard, Racing Transmission 210 KM/H, Ballast 14, Power Restrictor 98. The Rest you can leave it like that and It will be: PP 550.00 & 234 BHP = No Pitstops but use the Fuel Mapping correctly. Fuel Map 1 to overtake every Opponent and after that you can put to Map 2 or 3. Towards the End if Fuel get's scarce you can put it to Map 6, the Beetle needs to do the same so It will not be faster than you but won't pit either like you. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione in the Front uses Medium Tyres and is faster but He has to pit at least 2 Times. Which makes it impossible for Him to get you if you don't pit. Totally simple.

Why does the race lower my car stats

I used the porche 919 and used soft tires for both stints. I was playing in hard and won pretty easily

For people who are having issues doing this race, I used the Gr.3 porsche 911 GT3. For me, it is the easiest for me because you are losing on power on the straight but on the twisty section, you can lose them on corners. I didn't pit in at all for this race due to short shifting about halfway of the gauge but towards the end, the tires will give up so drive at caution. Best choose a car that can take corners with ease at your own comfort. Setup for me was brake bias on -5 and TCS OFF.

Could not do this for the life of me in the McLaren, I am using a pad and automatic coz fuck shifting for an hour long race....just use the Mégane trophy i just put the ecu to 84 and whacked 10 ballast on don't need any other tuning ....1 pit for tyres at 30 mins fuel map 1 all race no refuelling you don't even have to be fast just don't get penalties and it's easy. You're not racing the fast guys you're just racing suswillo and beavois who both do a no stop...all the faster cars will pit themselves out of the race
