Just brought one for myself today, my day one XB1 controller finally shit the bed, I got the shock blue with the windows adapter I love it, much more of the same but more improvement's like the grips on the side, and adding USB-C, I have sweaty hands and they help so much compared to the standard XB1 controller. No complaints from me, I love what Microsoft did here "If it ain't broke don't fix it" approach.
Just go Buy ‘Xbox adapter for Windows’ u can automatically Enter steam games like normal and it will automatically Bind your controller button like Console bind

I have the same controller but when I play Kingdom Hearts games from Epic game the buttons are not playing correctly. B suppose to be A, X supposed to be B and other buttons. I have updated both controller and desktop windows 10 only time it works correctly if I leave it hooked up with my cord not Bluetooth
Also, if you're upgrading to xbox series X controller after using xbox one controller and adapter - Unplug the fudging adapter. It works without it now and won't work with it plugged in. It took me too long to figure out why the new controller wasn't working >.>

The minimum requirement you need are the AA batteries that Microsoft provides you in your Xbox series x controller and a USB-C cable which is sold seperately ffor it to function on your PC via wired, I hope this helped 😎
I have found an issue with that controller and I have tried more than 3. the issue is that it's connected via Bluetooth but there are some games that doesn't work games like Sekiro, Monster boy or Ninja Gaiden. The only way that those work for me is via USB C cable.
I have you tried updating your controller? Sometimes it could be something small that will cause the controller to not work correctly, I'll see if I can run a test on some of those games

This typically happens when windows doesn't have the correct driver for your controller, try going to your device manager and selecting your controller and update the driver manually to a xbox series x controller
Since when did the strange name XBOX Wireless Controller appear? Mine appears strange number 4416 after a firmware update. Do the numbers on your Controller occur after a firmware update? or from the factory? Please respon thank you :)

Hey Fallman, are you connecting the controller by USB? If the USB is not connected, it won't detect it and also to protect your controller from bricking on firmware updates
@@ChrisMizo I used to have a Minecraft Xbox controller, and I had a usb plug to fit the plug inside the controller. And when I used the previous usb plug for my Shock Blue controller, it couldn't fit in so i used a extra usb plug for the front of the previous usb plug I used. But when I plugged the extra usb in, it said that it couldn't read it.
@@napcatz I see what you mean, what I would recommend is to get a usb-a to USB-C cable as that would eliminate the issue, Anker has some really excellent cables and I think you'd be pleased with that 👍
The controller keeps disconnecting all the time! I've updated the firmware of the controller and windows is on the latest update.. so yeah.. Don't know what the problem is

My controller is a Shock Blue version for XSeriesX/S bought last black friday and is not working with my PC. I have Windows 10 vesion 20H2 with no pending updates. I have updated my controller firmware through Xbox Accessories APP My usb dongle is a Bluetooth 4.0 firmware LMP 6.12675 / 6.8891 When I try to pair the controller doesn't show up on bluetooth found devices. I can pair it to my android phone instantly. IDK about the update, but when I try to install the KB4580364, I get an error. Honestly this sh** getting me angry already.
Hey Manoel, does the PC read the controller at all? If it doesn't, sounds like its more of a connection issue with the Bluetooth dongle, I'd try to swap that out and see if that works.
@@ChrisMizo It doesn't, I can see my controller on my phone, and on a phone of a friend too, but my PC it's like there's no bluetooth device to be added. I've ordered a 5.0 bluetooth receiver, let's hope that it fixes it. I refuse to buy that xbox bundle. If it doesn't work I'll probably just sell my controller and get a PS5 one.
I agree, how much does it really cost for them to manufacture a wire for there controller especially if you need to update your firmware on your controller, it's ashame Microsoft still doesn't add rechargeable batteries to their controller, it will definitely enhance their product more

@@witherriderr6876 Xbox series x controller will work if you directly connect it to your PC with a USB-C wire, if you don't have that you'll need a Bluetooth adapter which is listed above in the description. Those are your best choices in order to have your Xbox series x controller working correctly 👍

Could be the possibility, doesn't hurt to try, just make sure to keep the dongle plugged in on a side note otherwise it can forget

You shouldn't have to, make sure you hve the neccessary windows update to work with your xbox series x controller
