I felt that way when I wore my fro as a loose natural. I’ve been locked for 17 months now. I prefer big hair so still feel awkward, but I threw away all of my wigs during the first month. I may look better with a wig to some, but I definitely feel better locked than I ever did with fake hair. I don’t like shallow men, so it’s a good way to weed out the weak.

@@txLALA I know that’s right!!!! Locs/natural hair is beautiful. It is very awkward transitioning especially with the shrinkage. I felt like I looked better with wigs too but I didn’t care. The different stages of Locs definitely builds confidence. Thank you for watching 💞

@@katiemarie2692 I’m sure you look beautiful! I felt the same way. It takes time & patience. Just try different styles, earrings or head wraps to make yourself feel more comfortable. Thanks for watching 💞

Just installed and soon to wash but I'm scared of my 4c shrinkage because I started with long hair

@@cynthiaholland13 yes it will shrink unfortunately but maybe you can stretch out your starter locs overnight using scrunchies. I’ve personally never tried it. But I have come across some videos on here of people doing it.

I was very insecure at first and had mixed feelings. I didn’t realize how much I depended on wigs and weaves. I’m 2.5 years in now with microlocs and it’s great and my authentic self!! Your hair is beautiful❤❤❤
