i stopped retwisting my locs.. im almost at that perfect semi freeform look... i palm roll everytime i get the frizzys but i dont overdo it. i maintain that thick natural crown look. shit so beautiful, semi free forms and free forms are just 👑
Been locd for 13 years and have decided to go free form and it is so tempting to retwist but I haven’t for about six months and some have free formed . My hair is thin , so I looking forward to this new journey and I love your videos 😊
Thank you for this video ,just what i needed..im semi freeforming 3months in now, started with 2strand twist and im loving it..once in a while one just needs encouragement to keep going, and this video did that for me..by the way,im watching your previous videos and i like the way you explain things..beautifull energy
Peace Lauryn , I just want to say that I appreciate your content and your continued efforts . I also want to confess that I don't pay no nevermind to the use of products for my hair . I don't have no moisturizing routine in particular . I might as well be working from outdated text books at this rate . I have salt water and acv in a spray bottle for when my hair is dry . But I am considering a hooded steamer so the heat reaches deep into the hair follicles . But yeah Lauryn , good work . Keep it up . And no burnouts if it could be avoided . ✌️
@@MuhammadAbdul-Kareem thanks so much Muhamma for all your support and constant comments and interactions! Hope your day is going well I would say as far as hair maintenance, don't try to fix anything that isnt broken. But if moisture is a problem, hair steaming is a great idea!
@holistic flow or anyone that knows the answer to my question, lol. My hair is more wavy than curly and I do have lumpy locs due to that texture. I have been loc’d for 9 months now and I haven’t retwisted for a month and a half now and I would normally do once a month before but I was thinking of going 3 months without and only really because my hair is pulling at the roots as if some hair that was closer to the scalp during retwist is tighter for that reason and the rest of hair that wrapped around those hair closer to roots is looser. They are pulling and im tender headed already😫😫😫I hope they will stop pulling. Someone help😂😂😂😫😫anyone experience this? I don’t even do a right retwist, I just lightly pull and turn and put a clip to hold and then do a quick dry under hood dryer so not to go to bed with damp hair. I do dye my grey hair once a month so I have to move the hair a lot during wash out. HELP! The pulling os uncomfortable and I find myself pulling (adjusting not pulling out of root) hairs out to get rid of the pulling feeling! It’s not all of my locs but about 7 of them and some around the edges.
@@AfrocenteredLife a suggestion is that:maybe you're just more tender-headed around that perimeter part of the hair than the rest. And potentially that even though you're 9 months into the journey, your hair is still getting used to being locd. Have you ever tried braiding your new growth into your locs instead of re-twisting? I have a video on it: ua-cam.com/video/lgS6pb4fohI/v-deo.htmlsi=UTw2Jj0lSD1M0vEW
@@holisticflo my new growth doesn’t grow away from my locs though, literally all the hair stays with the loc for the most part so there wouldn’t be any hair to braid into the loc🤔 lol..I see other peoples new growth forming the Afro but mines doesn’t do that. I will check out your video though to see what you mean.
