I am Australian, grew up with some pretty special music. Then about 10 years ago I spent a LOT of time in Louisiana and Texas. Between Delta Blues, Southern Gospel, Zydeco and Bluegrass every night I was in absolute music lovers heaven! I thought lots of negative stuff about "The South" until I got there, awesome, generous, friendly people, love it!

@@billswindle8311thank you so much yeah it's crazy here, only allowed to go shops once a day and only allowed 1hr of exercise per day! It's like we on house arrest. Even a curfew at 8pm! No ones allowed out or massive fines for non compliance.. my young children are stuck in this n don't understand :(

Funny you should say that. I am not religious and was familiar with this song from the Civil Rights movement. Especially from Hollis Watkins. Some of the lyrics were different, but I never got a religious vibe from the Hollis Watkins version. This one is certainly religious.

I'm from Ireland and I have to say this is one of the most up- lifting bands I've ever heard, the singing is brilliant and the music is absolutely fantastic. Everything about this great band is pure and wholesome, continue doing what you're doing, because I think it's just great, God bless.

Why would anyone ever choose contemporary Christian tunes over this ?? So real , so powerful , so pure. I love it. I wanna go to Texas and Jam with these folks. I hope they would take me in like real brothers and sisters. I hope everyone that is listening to this will welcome all there most hated enemies like brothers and sisters. I just buried my grandmother today, she's the only reason I believe there may be a God out there somewhere. The woman's faith was so strong and unfaltering that I have to give credit to the person she tried to emulate as best as she could through his teachings and word. I've always found more solace, peace and understanding through praise and worship music then the spoken word. So till we meet again at that welcome table Meme I thank you!!!

Man this takes me back to a little white church in the country. No AC, next to a cow pasture, revival meeting every fall, where I first heard the gospel, snuck out after dinner on the grounds and kissed my first girlfriend, paid my Sunday school dues, played in Christmas plays, lots of memories made there.
This made my heart smile!! When dinner on the ground MEANT on the ground. Them old southern grannies could stick their foot off in some chicken, collards and cornbread.
Yeah, all those old ladies I knew of are dead and with the Lord now. Unfortunate for us, eternal happiness for them however...
Yep, coming in a little late on a early spring Sunday morning, hearing the old gospel songs already being sung by the time walking up the wooden steps, hearing the singing, tambourines and clapping. Some glad morning when this life is over... miss those days, life was a little simpler back then

I love southern gospel music. My wife and I are both musicians, and this is one of the songs we would like to minister with. I especially like the arrangement on this one. The chord progression is easy, the song itself is simple yet powerful. Love this group!

I'm not a very religious man, but Southern gospel music I can feel. I truly enjoyed this song. And I don't say this with exaggeration, but I truly believe that I could listen to that lead singer (Courtney?) every day. Her tone is a taste of Heaven to my ears. Thank you for bringing me a little closer to God.

I heard these gospel songs and the singers and musicians were wonderful. The harmony and music worked together wonderfully. So I went and checked out the singers. I have to say without them singing these gospel song together like this I wouldn’t listen to them.
