What a surprise to hear this!! Yesterday visited a friend with dementia at a nursing home and she Came ALIVE when I started singing this and Children Go…. We used to sing to Joe and Eddie lots! She joined it and it was a blast!
I usually listen to the Joe and Eddie version which is fabulous and then listen to this which also gives me a thrill. The arrangement is basically the same but acapella or course and set for 8 voices and they do a terrific job.
hakestad its a direct transcription of the version sung by Joe and Eddie in the 50s/60s, right down to the trills and riffs. My bet is someone within the ensemble did the arrangement specially.

Directly from Joe and Eddie's recording, beautifully rendered.
Used to the Joe and Eddie version. Glad this is still around. Beautiful!

You all are SO good! I'm blessed.
One of the standout songs on a really wonderful program--what a great choice of song for the occasion!
Cantus and Chanticleer in the same venue at the same time... now that's a 💎Gig...
Spectacular. I feel bad for the group waiting in the wings.

I don't think so.
Joe and Eddie
"There is a meade in here." Awful diction. Where is even the slightest semblance of a T?
Sorry Darren Motise , Cantus and all of us who know how good they are beg to differ with your views.
That is actually how the song is meant to be sung. It adds a whole different dimension to the song. Much better imo
