Otherwise, unless he has night vision goggles in disguise, he would not be able to tell what that Terminator looks like. 2) When we the audience see the Terminator and then it pans up to Pops, we are actually seeing through Kyle’s perspective, and from that POV, we see that the wounds on Pops’ face are unnoticeable, he is standing to a point where we are unable to see them, thus Kyle wouldn’t be able to use them to identify a Terminator. Not necessarily. Honestly a redeeming quality of Terminator Salvation is the actor who plays Young Kyle Reese. From the moment he appears on screen he captures the inflections, mannerisms and even the speech pattern of Michael Beahns performance quite well.
This is one of the many things I hated about the movie. It's a fucking terminator, it doesn't say witty shit like that. What a terminator's supposed to do is spit straight facts no bs, like Arnie in T3 "I'm obselete. TX is a faster, more efficient killing machine"
"I start to see things I recognize. It’s being very respectful of first two films. Then all of the sudden, it just swerves. And now I’m going on a journey. I feel like the franchise has been reinvigorated, like this is a renaissance." James Cameron loved it
I have a question. In terminator 1, kyle Reese said that T-800 was new very hard to spot... so he had to wait till they zeroed in on Sara before he could protect her... well in this movie pops is old how exactly did he know that pops was a terminator if he never saw it before... keep in mind young t800 looks different than pops
terminator salvation took place before t1 and john connor saw t800 and i wouldnt- no, i know he told everyone that t800 model is someone with human flesh. also arnold was bruized and he did see a t800 just before "pops" thats my opinion at least
Probably because he noticed that the Terminator in front of him was missing a huge piece of skin and had a skull made of metal. That's actually pretty obvious. Arnold with showing metal all over the place on his face. That's pretty clear and obvious that he's a Terminator so it's not really a problem. It just means that Reese was a good soldier to spot that and to identify him along with the other Terminator that was dead and showing metal all over the place right in front of him which he saw first. Makes sense if he's intelligent.

And if you can, please name some scenes where they are ‘horrendous’.To me Jai Courtesy is generic, and Emilia is likable. The only thing that’s truly off is their accents.
@@Nicholas_Chen_ Emilia was by and large the most criticized on GOT of all the GOT actors. She was a weak link on that show. @@Nicholas_Chen_ That you can't point out Emilia's shite acting here is appalling. Linda Hamilton plays Sarah Conner as dark, cynical, tough-as-nails, and bad-ass. Emilia plays her like a valley girl teenager that just got the lead for her first school play.

I guess after years living with sarah he would learn to understand some sarcasm but it still doesnt make much sense that shes so sarcastic and playful. her parents were killed and she was basically raised by a killing machine. I'd expect this sarah to be even tougher than the one in T2 since she's learning how to fight since she was 9, not since 1984 when shes already an adult
Maybe you didnt watch T2. The learning computer allows for it to blend in. In T2, JC shows the terminator how to say hasta la vista baby and other corny 90s catchphrases. I love how he says that was immature because it shows hes been learning for a long time how to be pops for sarah. Maybe that's just too deep to understand for some people
Kyle Reese: What the hell is going on? Sarah Connor: Its a sequel-prequel-soft reboot. Why do you think you look like a generic male model and I look 15? Kyle Reese: Aww crap you're right. Can't we just let Skynet win this time?
_"Programmed by who? Huh? Who sent him back?"_ _"Those files have been erased."_ _"Oh, that's convenient."_ Yeah, how nice of the writers to not bother coming up with an answer to that question. I mean no biggie, right? It's only... *THE ENTIRE REASON THIS STORY IS TAKING PLACE.*
@Leandro Aude That is a small part of his body. IIRC, during the conversation it was young John Connor asking why T-1000 not transform into a giant bomb and kill him. T-800 replied that T-1000 cannot form into complex machine, but can form simple weapons such as stabbing weapons and transform into something else of same volume. But T2 did not explicitly state T-1000 cannot actively separate part of itself for other purposes. In fact, T2 shown a portion of his Liquid Metal formed claw is stuck on cars when John, Sarah and T-800 are escaping from mental hospital. After T-1000 was knocked off, John Connor removed that piece from the car, and we see T-1000 appeared later to retrieve that piece. So it is logical to deduce that T-1000 can separate piece of itself for tracking purpose.
I found this scene entertaining and well made, I just don't like the entire direction of the movie, its like a giant what-if that should only be in fanfiction, similar to the dark fate movie, its a stupid idea done quite well, whereas T3 was a fairly good idea done in a subpar way.
@@Jay-og4yb i dont too but lets be real, she was the best option they had and the original scripts do get changed if needed. someone like sarah definetely wasnt meant as a blonde, just a girl tbh

Sometimes I forget she even is Sarah Connor. Nothing like the young waitress we saw in the first Terminator movie. Almost just seems like a different character. Seeing a young Linda Hamilton interacting with a T-800 like this would've been trippy. Too bad it couldn't happen that way.
Leonardo Klotz James Cameron never deleted it , that was in the extended version of terminator 2 lol along with other scenes thats not in the short versionin that made T2 movie #1 The smile in the movie made sense because John was trying to make Arnold blend in , if you watch the extended version you will feel and actually understand why Arnold in the movie is like a father to John
The smile with the teeth, yes, but on two occasions he smiles normally when he's examining the weapons in the underground cache and when he's going to deal with the LAPD outside Cyberdyne.
@John Smith I think that scene was included in the TV version as well, sometimes they show extended cuts on TV, like in the first Godfather film, in the TV version it shows Vito visit Genco in the hospital on his deathbed. That wasn't on any DVD releases.
Hey, fun fact, in this movie Arnold is shown younger twice. One is with a CGI recreation of his 1984 likeness and body used for the T-800 of T1 and for 1973 flashback of Pops saving Saraha, and the other was with the de-age technology used for Guardian/Pops scenes in 1984.
What's amazing is how they always get actors that look like arnold and only use minimal CGI work to match the facial likeliness for the young t800s. Like Roland Kickinger in Terrminator Salvation and Brett Azar for Genesys and Dark Fate.
@@hutchinsonfilms1406 Yes and no. I mean, yes, it was Brett Azar who served as a stand in for the original T-800, but instead of recreating Arnold's body like they didi with the original T-800, they only recreated Arnold's face.
Yeah I love the Terminator movies… But this is pretty bad LOL. Edit: Schwarzenegger is good in the scene like he is in all the other scenes. I will leave it at that.
The point of this movie was literally show that everything that happen in the first and second movie is not gonna happen the same way because the timeline changed and there still people that think that Kyle was dumb in this movie, he had one mission, protect Sara and then he finds out that Sara knows about him, she killed the terminator that was sent to kill her and then an older version appears on the back, of course I would shoot too because hello, What the hell is going on and then he gets knockout by a machine that carries a big rifle, people just wants to hate and say the original would never do that, I mean I love the original two movies but this movie still is good, at least for me and even after watching Dark Fate makes love it even more.
Zeleniy Slonik is a movie N1 on a planet. indisputably. if seriously, Genesis is a good Comedy, but a bad terminator. Just don't take this movie seriously. the good side of the movie is that it is the only one that introduced the objective concept of parallel time lines.
Spell I CUP Honestly though it wasn’t that bad. If we’re all being honest ALL the terminator movies are bad. I mean really? Time traveling robots cant kill a single target? Yeah thats sooooo realistic. If your willing to suspend disbelief for the previous films, then i see no reason you cant do the same for this film? What was so bad about this film that made it any worse than the others?
1:01. "He's here to kill you, stay in the truck". Why would you tell the person your protecting to stay inside the truck with the Terminator. But instead they decided to try mimic a Disney story formula while casting captain boomerang as Kyle Reese.
Khaleesi talks in an off tone the whole scene, looks like she wants to laugh, Kyle is treated like a bufoon, him being out of the loop, but Jay Courtney's "acting" doesn't help much, Also, Arnie is used for comedy, that emasculates the terminator, not humanizes him, at least in T3 he was more no nonsense than in this one
Fans after genisis: You have done injustice to broken yet strong character of Kyle Rese. Dark Fate: No Rese and kills john in first scene. Fans: *Surprise jakie face intensified*
I love how the disabled T-800's nose is missing, but when the T-1000 reactivates him later his nose is intact again. So ... not only does the T-800's flesh no longer have any visible blood in it (gotta snag that PG-13 rating, after all), it also now has Wolverine's healing ability. Some wonderful continuity going on there.
I just went back to watch that scene and my thoughts are that the small piece of liquid metal could have replicated a nose because of the T-800's infiltrator programming (to make it look more human).
What I liked about Genisys, it made me realize something about robots. People say that robots don't age, don't get old, don't die. But really, old Schwarzenegger made me realize that machines do get old, you don't keep the same car and computer forever, all machines get old and stop working or not work as well as they get older. Nothing lasts forever. So they applied that to the Terminator and it made sense to me, and with the skin aging, that worked too since it's real human flesh, I theorized that before Genisys came out.
Jai Courtney was a wooden mess in this movie. He was okay in Suicide Squad, but only because he made good use of his screen time before dying in the first 10 minutes.
I've watched Terminator 1 and 2 multiple times... When I watch scenes from those films I immediately want to watch them again. It only takes a glance and these scenes to make me wanna avoid anything after the sequel like the plague.
The year is 2015. A new Terminator movie has been released. Genisys. That is it's name. Me, a 12 year old boy at the time went to the theatre with his father. After fully watching it, both the boy and the father were satisfied. The boy loved the movie, and awaited a sequel with excitement. 5 years later, the boy, now a 16 year old teen has seen the sequel. He hated it. Oh he hated it like noone else did. Returning home, he has rewatched his favourite childhood movie again - Genisys. But a merciless shock of realization would struck our hero - the movie was indeed - *shit* . Thank you for your attention.

I have a question. In terminator 1, kyle Reese said that T-800 was new very hard to spot... so he had to wait till they zeroed in on Sara before he could protect her... well in this movie pops is old how exactly did he know that pops was a terminator if he never saw it before... keep in mind young t800 looks different than pops
terminator salvation took place before t1 and john connor saw t800 and i wouldnt- no, i know he told everyone that t800 model is someone with human flesh. also arnold was bruized and he did see a t800 just before "pops"
thats my opinion at least
Most likely because he saw the dead T800 in front of him then someone who looks just like him stand up next to him. lol
Unfortunately, the answer to your question has been erased
Erm, probably because he looked exactly like the dead terminator?

Lord Fand Angus I think the 1973 version was a different actor, I could be wrong but it just does not look like him at all
