I just bought my blue spark the other day and can't thank you enough for making this tutorial video. I have gone through the useless videos on DJI's website and read the manuals but you walking us through everything has been an enormous help. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to all of your videos.

Jeven, brilliant the way you have layed out your tutorial on the spark , I'm a 67 yr old no idea guy on these things, but after my son bought one , it got me interested and after many days of tossing the idea of getting one I did it. for a start I thought it would give me and interest and maybe enjoyment with it.
I have only had it a couple of weeks and since the purchase I have had a knee replacement operation which will ground me for 2 months. but my son has been over and connected all the WiFi and controller as I bought the combo pack . and has flown it out side for a short while, so I would say I'm still a virgin and will be for awhile .but thanks to you and your guides on you tube have been fantastic and basic laymen terms as well . thank you very much your now on my subscribed list and love watching whatever you do. many Thanks Bill

Great video! I’ve had my DJI Spark for about 9 months (since Aug 2020) and recently had some interference while flying and the drone flew into a tree. Luckily I was able to retrieve the drone, even though it was over 40 feet above ground. I learned several things from this video and I’ve used my drone on average of 15+ days a month for work. Thanks!

Just purchased the spark and I hope that you are making a good living from these videos because in the Wild West of UA-cam, this video an example of some of the best out there for peer to peer teaching. I can’t express how impressed I am with how much information you pack into this video without any self promotion and with instruction/explanation akin to an Ivy League prof. You anticipate the questions beginners will have as you go through and you actually explain basic photography better than most ‘basic photo instruction’ vids and that in itself is amazing for a subtopic of a specific product. Cheers to you mate. I really hope you you appreciate your talent for teaching. Whether the video took you 30 minutes or 30 days, it’s an invaluable resource for those of us that are lucky enough to find it amidst a sea of not so great videos. Thank you for your video. The quality shows your passion for your craft. Keep up your talent dude, (and don’t ever feel the need to explain to the audience why you’re sweaty, you’re to legit to qualify anything you have in your videos :) cheers

This video is perfect. I should be receiving my Spark today and have spent the better part of the past two days watching videos. I've seen a handful of videos where the user has certain "complaints" about the spark, however, watching you go through the settings, their issues could have been resolved if they knew what you show in this video. As a completely new drone user, I appreciate your review of the settings as well as what settings someone experienced prefers. I'm excited about my Spark! Hoping to have tons of practice and build up my skills to upgrade for Christmas!

Thank you Jeven, I think I watched almost every video on U tube flying the "DJI Spark" yours are by far the most comprehensive & totally professional that I have seen to date.
My Spark arrived today & I have copied & printed the check list, just charging the batteries so I can set it up.
I am a complete novice & have never flown a drone before, just a few little infra red indoor helicopters, which I loved. I will follow you tips to the letter, I am so excited & can hardly wait as I am a 72 year old/ 12 year old.
I really loved your other videos on the photography so clear & concise I learned heaps of useful info already especially on how to use the histogram which I never had a clue about before.
Mate if you lived in Australia I'd be shouting you a slab of whatever wets your lips, thank you again.

I sure love to see you do a similar video on using the Spark Controller. Your video made understanding the functions and how to use it SO MUCH EASIER. DJI should be paying you to produce videos for them - they'd have a lot more enthusiastic new product owners if this would be available to all who are opening their new Sparks!

Let me add a "ditto" to what Steve said! I've got the fly more package and have limited flight to learning simple stuff. The manuals that came with the fly more are completely useless (for me at least, the print is too small) making your in depth video priceless. I have only used gesture and my iphone and want to learn more before I use the controller, flip it to sport mode and kiss my spark goodbye..;-)

I couldn't agree more. While DJI Ty may be pretty to look at (great teeth), his tutorials are virtually worthless. Wanderworx knocks the ball out of the park. And, yes, we need one for the controller.

Jeven - in fear of repeating what so many here have said, nicely done. I've been researching drones for more than a week. I've dealt with the typical questions; price, features, tech, and dependability, to name a few. Price has been a large determining factor, with details about features and camera abilities of various drones being a bit more elusive. Many videos focus on "speed", "agility", and "ease of flying", but few focus on the results of the camera, or the details of "truly" setting up the drone for flight. Some skim over the setup, providing just enough info to get you by and in the air quickly, but yours is in depth and truly priceless. So thank you. Thank you for taking the time. Thank you for explaining (easily) every details of setting up and beginning to fly. I've ordered my Spark and should be unpacking it within the week, and thanks to you, I am more than prepared to dive in and do it right. Happy flying and I'll see you on my screen often, I'm sure - Tim (Wisconsin)

G'day from Australia. I have only just purchased my DJI Spark. I spent hours trying to figure out how to use it with the very limited instructions, but could not get it to fly.
I did a search for a tutorial on UA-cam, and a heap of them came up.
Yours was, by far, the best and easiest tutorial to understand.
I have now flown it a number of times, and am practising heaps, just as you suggested.
I haven't been able to fly it with the hand controller yet, but that will be my next step .
I need to find out how to connect my controller to the drone.
Thanks for the tutorial so far.
    Garry

I have been flying an inspire 1 for a while and it just went into the shop for repairs. I ordered a spark yesterday so I have a backup drone but now I can see this little thing actually fills a niche that my inspire doesn't. Thanks for pointing out all it can do! I can see the inspire 1 and spark are not replacements for each other but complimentary to each other!

I would agree for my 61 year old eyes, the miniature printed materials were completely useless. I would need much stronger cheaters to make them out. I found WanderWorx and FlytPath videos very helpful. Being a tech neophyte, I found myself pausing the videos a lot allowing me time to work through operations and syncs at my own tech deficient pace. I did fly indoors at first even though it's not recommended. Just experimented with minor control movements to get the feel of things, carefully working my way around a large room. Only a couple minor "incidents" with no harm done except to one indoor plant when I was demonstrating my new found skills to my wife. I was a little worried about a fly away at first so I felt better being contained, though it was probably just me being paranoid. Mostly using the controller or phone so far. Gesture mode, I don't see as useful but we'll see. It's alot of fun so far.

I bought my Spark about 10 months ago. I only got it out of the box 3 weeks ago as the drone was in the USA and I am in Southeast Asia. Took me about 2 hours with telechat with a friend who is more experienced then I am. When I finally clicked on the right combination of buttons the thing shot up off my dining table scattering almost everything. It even drew blood on one hand since I had yet to install the prop guard. I will not be flying anywhere but my carport until I get the drone licensed and insured (local law). Thanks for the great tutorial! i will be looking at ti again.

I still love mine. I've had mine for 5 years and it still runs great. I had to get it fixed once in the beginning because I clipped a tree, but since then I have had 0 accidents. I have the same 4 batteries, one at 512 cycles and it still gets me 12 minutes. I still have the original props too. One day I'm sure it will die and I will fix it because I don't need anything more than this little guy offers. Perhaps I will upgrade in the next couple years but I don't have any reason to. Perhaps 1 day it will be worth a ton of money for being an antique, who knows. I intend on keeping it for as long as I can.

I just purchased the Spark after reviewing several models and after comparing the features it had to offer i was immediately excited to learn all the aspects of the aircraft to use while on vacation and recreational fun, this video was such a thorough overview of the most important and confusing feature points for a first time user. After many notes and pauses, I came to the end with a better understanding of just how cool this drone can be and i'm excited to have followed along the tutorial and ready to launch tomorrow actually feeling ready! Awesome video!

This is a terrific tutorial. Someone just gave me a spark as a gift. There were very few instructions with it and I was a little afraid of it except for charging the battery. This is a great introduction and will be a big help getting started.

I just bought this drone today and I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow and start flying this drone!!!! The only question that I have so far is how do I know when the propeller blades are in the right position? Right now they are in the closed position and I just want to make sure that they are in the right position before flying this drone for the first time. BTW, this was a great beginner video! The instruction books that are included are so hard to read because they are so small and this video helped out a lot!!!

Brilliant tutorials from WanderWorx !! By far the best!!
But I wish this tutorial, and every other one about the connection to your phone would mention that when it connects there is a red warning under the connection on the phone which says "No Internet Connection" (see at 3.28). The instructions that came with the drone don't mention this either!! I spent the first day not believing the controller was actually connected to the iPhone!!
