Please stop saying the brand name like you are, like ROOPS. One does not need to be or know Italian to pronounce it correctly. I'm a big fan of your channel Brian and subscribe to it but hearing ROOPS not only makes my skin crawl but it's just not respectful of, to, and for so many. Keep up the great content.
I didn't mind the last one. Very thin and smelled like berries. Scent is never a determining factor nor is the way you pronounce the products. You could call it (shit) if you like. It's your channel. Thanks for the review on that Roops Brian. LOL!
If these durable AIO's are indeed SIO2 based then I'd assume that any silica spray that can top a ceramic coating would work equally well here. I hope to learn more about this myself.
Brian, I've been a follower and subscriber of this channel. I enjoy your content immensely. I think higher resolution videos would make it that much better.
Hi, enjoyed the video and I’m just an amateur home detailer. However I’d lime to comment that I believe you may have overworked the product based on RUPES recommendations. RUPES suggest for their compounds that you should only do a set size no larger than 6x the pad size you’re using. After which point you clean and reapply the product. Given the speed of your passes the size of the area and you only used 4 pea sized dots, I think you may have pushed the product to far which led to your final summary. I also suggest this as I’ve used UNO Advanced on a few vehicles now and found the following. Super slick to the touch, great contact angle beading and given my brief testing the protection should last towards the end if 12m.
I've used both the UNO Pure and Protect and honestly I was pretty underwhelmed by it's performance. I ended up having to use the Rupes Yellow compound to go over the areas I used the UNO variants on. Hopefully this performs better!
Good review. Yeah, I'm inclined to do my correction, then add my own protection. Would a all in one save me time? Yes. But I'd rather have lots more protection on vehicle. Just my opinion. Thanks for doing this honest review Brian.
I love your videos like this! Have you tested 3D Speed yet? I can’t find it if you did, I did see the 3d one videos though! I’d love for you to test 3D Speed!
Good review with no slant to RUPES products. You have shown that quick and easy is not always the best and long lasting. Meanwhile I will continue with the slow and thorough process. I have the time. 😉
Another Master Class. I am thankful for the knowledge you have passed down thru the years. I really do not see this product being useful in my type of detailing, because i would be applying a far better protectant. I could see a volume detailer using it as a freebie upgrade to there packages. I was surprised you rated it so high in finishing ability. Would you say its in the same league as Papa Cut, 3D One or Sonax Perfect Finish? Also i think the shop manager is way underpaid for the exceptional work the shop produces. Happy New Year to all.
I can also say this stuff does finish down very very well on everything I’ve tried it on. All of the Uno line finishes incredibly well. Even Pure, without protection or fillers, so it’s true corrected finishing you’re getting. Which makes sense, it’s essentially a finishing polish with protection additives. Perfect Finish has quite a bit more cut though.
Great video with good info, especially about using Uno Advanced as a base. What product would you recommend putting on top to give good long lasting protection?
I’m really trying hard to find this product useful in my arsenal. The xtra time it saves is negligible for my use. It might be handy when I do a used car that got traded in at a dealership, but the extra cost of stocking this and the fact it only takes 20 minutes or so to put a quality spray sealant on like Titan makes it not worth it. Brian, I do appreciate you taking the time to test, video and edit products even though I might not find it useful for me. Keep up the honesty in your reviews.
Don't forget the time it takes to do a cleansing wipe down to remove oils from the dedicated polishing step, then time for that product to fully outgas off surface to avoid bonding issues with whatever sealant you put on. That is, if you're following those steps instead of just sealing over polishing residue.
Thank you for the review as I am starting to put together packages and I am looking for an upgrade to the clay n seal. The correction was impressive but the protection will make customers not return. I feel fab polish and then topping with BC2 would be a better combination. Then again this may out price the package if this process takes more than an hour. Thank you for all of your education!
Another great video Brian. Not something I'd use personally. Uno pure as a finishing polish maybe, but I really do not like polishes that contain protection. However, with that level of finish I could see this would be a great upsell for mobile detailers, providing it isn't too sunny.
So is this comparable to to Gypeon Prime? So if zo just want to "Prime" the surface and add on protection over this would you go with this product, Prime, or Uno Protect?
I've been very interested in this product since its release. The only other one I know of that makes the same claims is Griots Garage Ceramic AIO. If the protection holds up in the real world close to that 12-month mark (perhaps layering with a suitable topper every month or two as I think you mention) then I'm sold because the enhancement shown here looks great. I just like the idea of having a base layer of protection to fill in for any gaps when the topper fails in harsh conditions or you didn't get it reapplied in time for whatever reason. Cheers Brian
Just a thought in regards to testing procedures: If you top it with a topper every one or two months, you‘ll never know 100% sure if what you see perform on the paint is the base layer Rupes AIO or the topper. Of you want to test durability, you shouldn‘t use toppers at all.
@@AndreasSchwarzinger Hey Andreas, how about simply testing after the topper has expired? Like if you know the topper doesn't last more than a couple months or through a maintenance wash then testing after that.
@@AndreasSchwarzinger I think the confusion is that a topper may affect the durability of the base protection by acting as a sacrificial layer. So I'm not suggesting that applying a topper here is a fair way to test the durability of this Rupes product as a standalone LSP - apologies. The appeal to me is the ability of a base layer of protection to kick in many months down the road when a regularly applied topper has failed or isn't there on some occasion. If the Rupes can do that close to the 12-month mark then I think that would be highly impressive for an AIO, something impossible for the wax-based iterations we've had up until now.
@@andrewvickers4487 in my opinion, the statement that toppers prolong the life of a base layer is a plain myth. Any force strong enough to attack the top layer will go straight through the topper and to the base layer. Any force weak enough to only attack the topper wouldn‘t do anything to the base layer itself. It‘s the equivalent of putting a peace of paper on top of a bullet-proof vest. Pretty much anything will go through the paper but not the vest. But if you‘re being attacked by something that will go through the vest, then this will just slice straight through the paper, as well. The paper doesn‘t prolong the life of the vest in any shape, way or form.
Good video. That protection claim is a crime against the Trades Description Act! In general, when machine polishing, how often do you reload the pad with product? After each set of passes, or less often?
Other than having more longevity and not recommended in direct sunlight how does it compare to the best mobile detailer recommended AIO product, 3d Speed?
The previous Uno version of this, I found to be easier to work with than 3D Speed since it's less gunkier and less clogging of pads than Speed. Not sure if the difference is significant to most though. I recommend buying the small bottle and giving it a try.
This was just a test Remember to use clay bar or clay mit before applying any protection to surface and give the recommended time for the product to cure to give the best results Also, use APC diluted on surface prior to use to decontaminate properly paint
I have csl/exo on my car for a year now, i see some swirls here and there, using this product with yellow pad would be ideal? I wanna re-apply exo afterwords, Thanks
Wait... I'm in the middle of polishing right now and was planning to ceramic coat it afterwards. I thought it had no fillers and was suited as a final step before ceramic coat lmao
I see you’re using chemical guys microfiber I found a 24 pack of the same towel you’re using at a local store to me for a good price I was wondering how paint safe they are. What are your thoughts?
IMA all in one are designed to be fast so doing 4 slow passes wound to be a waste, if your spending more than an hour doing an entire vehicle your doing to much. One to passes let it bond while you finish the vehicle and wipe off and the protection will also last longer, i like to add defy 3in1 during or after wipe off to boost the protection since 3 in 1 seems to bond well to any protection and perform well.
You're supposed to let the product dry at least 20 minutes before toweling off AND let it cure 4 hours thereafter. I don't think your wash test was accurate.
FYI....To follow recommended instructions...allow residue to dwell 15 minutes before wiping off. When doing so, I had a hell of a time wiping off.

It’s a ceramic type coating. It stated it has a 12 month of protection. Some other folks that have tested it they say it’s great

For what? It's not for total correction. It's paint improvement/one step.
It is true, it has little cut compared to kochchemie P06, but it is very easy and quick to use. As second step it works wonders
