    The youtubers that know nothing about hair care and are releasing product lines are just doing the same kind of marketing as when a celebrity advertises a cell phone company or a credit card. "Hey this famous person uses our stuff" or "Hey you know I always look out for you guys so this stuff is the best". Same difference

      @@TDMStyle Also just gunna throw this out there. Notice you never here Steven calling his products "the best on the market". He just states what it is supposed to do in relation to the style he's making in the video. He's confident that they are actually quality products so he doesn't need to tell us they are repeatedly. Dre does this as well actually.

      @@StrappingYoungLadam Thanks boss! I get what you are saying, but listen to how some of these "brands" ACTUALLY describe their own products lol. "Hey it's great for your hair!" lmao. If you have ever seen me do a live product demo or explain my products, there is a difference in passion, knowledge and experience. As Matt stated, and if the viewers only knew half of what I have learned about these brands, people would be shocked. I respect the hustle people have, but having rich parents, rich bff's and nice hair as the foundation for starting a brand, that doesn't equate to any authenticity. Brand legacy is all about the story of the person who created it, their experience, journey, time and sacrifice in the industry. I could go on and on about this but I do appreciate your support. Dre is a nice kid and I cut his hair once a while ago which was fun, but this was way before his products came out.

And for stylers it’s really a tough choice because I love so many of them 😂 A few would be: Fuertes clay, Shear Revival Northern Lights matte paste, Stickmore clay fiber, TheSalonGuy’s Pre Game wax, hmm 🤔 There are others too, but that’s a good start I suppose haha!

    I just can replace it with a normal hair oil with all natural oils in it like coconut, olive and so one , don't I?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 років тому

      You can make your own hair oil, sure, but smoothing serums like Sleek are specifically designed for optimal smoothing and also safe to be used with heat styling. You need to be careful with straight oils. Some, like coconut and olive oil, have a low smoke point and can actually end up frying your hair with heat.

    • @LukasBlau
      @LukasBlau 5 років тому

      But why should I use Sleek if I have 25 ?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 років тому

      You don’t have to. Sleek is a straight smoothing serum. 25 does also do some smoothing but is really more for the leave-in benefits. It depends on what you want/need.

      Hey there! Those two terms are often used interchangeably, so really they could mean the same thing depending on the brand. Some brands use "firm" meaning it in the literal sense that the product would firm up the hair, but most of the time, it seems that firm/high/strong hold are all generally the same type of idea.
