I had a Nintendo when I was younger got it about 1993. My mother told me that she would sometimes put me to bed and sit at the late evening playing Nintendo. She was about 40 years at that time. I don’t know if se did it just a couple of times or often. But thinking about her sitting alone in the tv-room making Mario run across the screen, is something I find quite amusing😄
The fact that meemaw and Sheldon had a moment it just shows that they relationship is so much more close than with the other family members and it’s so sweet ❤
This is such a core memory for Sheldon! The writers are so excellent for this small yet big detail. :) That got him into playing for more games like DND. So cool to add in the storyline. Especially those who knew Sheldon from TBBT, this memory connects us to the adult Sheldon. So happy every time I see Sheldon and Meemaw moments!
Honestly at this point, sheldon literally feels like a regular kid He thinks something is bad before trying it, he first. Thought comic books are for kids but later got obsessed with it. Then he thought video games are boring until he played it. Later he also hated fantasy genre bcz it is fictional(opposite of science) until he finally read the hobbit Thats pretty childlike if u ask me cz thats how most kids act they think they are edgy and cool by not liking what most people do until they finally try it
Sheldon has a child in him, forgetting his potential and ambience around him was all due to his Meemaw🥰🥰 She introduced him to video games and always through her actions too rekindled the child in him and his mission of overpowering all Humans and displacing and escorting from the matrix owes credit to Meemaw. Mary shares a motherly love but Meemaw is like a unfading motivation to him, to make him reckon to live life to the fullest, love Meemaw for this. Meemaw and moonpie are the best duo of Young Sheldon.
Meemaw and Sheldon have that special connection that every kid should have with their grandma. My Gramma T was amazing! She made some of the greatest food ever. Her breaded bass was the bomb! And she played a mean game of cards... cheated notoriously with almost every hand 🙂 and through it all made sure we knew that she loved us no matter what!
I never had that,my grandma was dead before I was born,I did have a neighbor who I had a similar relationship with,I miss her,she passed away before we moved, and sometimes I think us moving possibly caused her heart to break,as she didn’t have anyone else left.
Meemaw knew what made the kid happy, and that's so precious in any family. It also spurred on his nerdery later on in life. He got to make so many happy memories with Meemaw through the games they played, while their family was going through so much drama during his childhood.
This reminds me of how my oldest son and his friend talked my wife into playing Everquest with them ...... She was hooked and now decades later she plays Warcraft with them
If you guys want something that bothers you...in the scene with George and hershall...look at the beers. That one keeps moving to the other side with each camera shot. It goes 1 by 3 to 2 by 2. Unsee that 😂
My Granny Ann worked for IBM in the 70s and 80s. Coworkers would give her floppy disk copies of Atari games. She even had a copy of the original Super Mario that was called Jumpman. She taught me how to play them when I was 5 before Nintendo even came out. I'm one of the few people my age that has had a computer at one time or another for over 40 years straight. She also had a bunch of the Kings Quest games and Oregon Trail. She's the one that got me hooked on video games. On another note, my dad was a computer programmer and taught me how to code things such as music and simple pictures using Microsoft Basica on IBM DOS when I was about 7.
Sheldon’s first video game experience reminds of when I was young and my aunt, or Momo as I called her, got me the SNES and we played Super Mario World together and we saved Princess Peach together. It’s one of my favorite memories.
My partner's more of a YS / TBBT watcher than me, but in my head at the end of this I like to think /maybe/ Sheldon did a playthrough of Chrono Trigger with his grandmother.
I keep wondering if the show finale, will end with the TBBT group at the apartment, listening to Shelden wrapping up his story about his childhood. Maybe the pretaped it, so the cast didn't age before the show ended? :)
I dunno. The more the show goes on, the more Ian Hermitage looks different from Jim Parson. I believe it's better to leave a gap in the years so we can suspend disbelief and still believe it's the same character.
Я сегодня купила футболку Bazinga the big bang theory в "second hand" и решила узнать, кто эти люди. Оказалось, что весёлые ребята были! ))) Не стыдно будет носить!
I like the fact they’re obviously playing a NES, but they had to make some silly logo to get around Nintendo copyright. Though it is weird they’re using a SNES controller on a NES console.
I loved playing video games with my grandma it was. The best she was pretty much bed ridden but she could get ride her scooter and stuff she would ride it all the way downtown I would ride in basket and stuff but we would play Nintendo alot she was really good at textirs
You have to realize back then beating these games was a real Triumph. Because there was no Internet, or online videos that you can go and click on to help you if you’re stuck. There was also a little to no handholding in these games. They just dropped you in a location, told you the main goal, and you had to figure out how to get there. There were book guide, sometimes, but they were usually expensive. For an old woman to beat this back then is impressive.
My brother had mario game I spent every single free moment I had trying to rescue the princess .. took me 6 months and I was like dang I went for it like crazy and it was so anti climatic . Not trying to get political, but is the final shot w her jacket (that has an American eagle w 1776-1976) supposed to be for US birthday? Or is it saying America died when Jimmy Carter was elected?
Meemaw is so cool, into video games at her age
I know Young Sheldon is a prequel to The Big Bang Theory set in the 1980s but we need a Young Annie set in the 1930s please
@Robby Cox as BRUCE WAYNE i do
I agree I'd totally be that kind of grandma lol 😆

“Although Leonard pulling a groin muscle doing dance dance revolution was a close second.” Nice one Sheldon. 😂
Wat that means? I didn't get ...
"So now what, do we just return to our ordinary lives?"
"I guess so. Or.. we could just go to the store and buy another game"
relatable
The life of a gamer
Sounds like addiction.
What a cool Meemaw. Just as excited to be with Sheldon and see him happy.
Connie shouting at Sheldon, "Throw the bomb," repeatedly did *my* heart good.
Which One?
What A Hilarious Relationship Between Sheldon And *Meemaw*
Seeing this awakened a memory in me when it was my grandmother and I with the Nintendo 64. Amazing times ❤
Meemaw and Sheldon have that special connection that every kid should have with their grandma.

That happiness and moment of realization is the same feeling I had when I finally hit 100% on RDR1
RDR1. What a bore!
Based. Rdr2 is even better
She has to be the coolest grandma ever. Sheldon is so lucky
This reminds me of how my oldest son and his friend talked my wife into playing Everquest with them ...... She was hooked and now decades later she plays Warcraft with them
2:28 If only George retained this & didn't just talk shot at Georgie :/
What I like the most at this series is the fact that is always about family and friends.
I miss my grandma, i wished she still alive and I will hug her as much as I can

So true
The bond between Sheldon and his grandmother was too good
The way shelly hugging memaw was sooo adorable 😍😍😍
I fought many digital battles in my life, but none are as memorable as this first one I had with my Meemaw.
Got me a bit tear up ngl
This is easily the coolest grandmother alive....lol
I loved this interaction between ‘George’ and ‘Herschel Sparks’.
I want to see leonard and sheldon play dance dance revolution 😂😂😂

Wow being able to leave the car unlocked and windows down in also impressive! I miss those days.
Loved this so much!
This is how my grandma was with Kirby64. Damm I miss that woman
The feeling Sheldon felt when he finished the game was the feeling I feel every time I finish a good series.
Well Georgie did become the tire king
Sheldon chuckling was so cuteeee 3:50
What chuckling?
Herschel predicted georgie going into the tire business!!
He didn't predict it, he inspired the kid
‘Meemaw’, ‘Missy’, and ‘Georgie’ are my three favorite characters, respectively.
I love sheldon and meemaw's relationship.
Omg young Sheldon is the best lol
Sheldon’s first video game experience reminds of when I was young and my aunt, or Momo as I called her, got me the SNES and we played Super Mario World together and we saved Princess Peach together. It’s one of my favorite memories.
this reminds me of my own grandma who also bought sega cartridges for me. thank you lola feliza
I just noticed that the beers in the case change places in between scenes.
My partner's more of a YS / TBBT watcher than me, but in my head at the end of this I like to think /maybe/ Sheldon did a playthrough of Chrono Trigger with his grandmother.
Notice the beer changes where they are In the beer carrier. From square to L
The six pack on the table changes sometimes, some shots its 2 a side, some its 3 and 1. 2:50 for instance
It's really hard to not notice those light beer bottles that don't stay the same in this 1 conversation at 2 different camera angles. 😕
Love these two 🤩
the first legacy of dr. george marshall cooper aka dr. tires
Is that Mike from Mike and Molly?? Oh, my gosh, it is!!! Isn't it? 😄

03:34 poor missy :(
This show is awesome ❤
Anyone else notice the continuity error with the four bottles in the six pack when George is talking with herschel
Wow ❤❤❤
Meemaw is my favorite character in young sheldon
Missy is emotionally smart too.
Clearly this is the Nintendo; did the show not get permission to use the brand name ? And why wouldn't they ? This is good exposure for the brand.
The beer changing sides still annoys me
He looks like a boss in the back of the caddy
@3:25 Missy would’ve made a great psychologist.
So there, three geniuses.
Meemaw has a Caddy, slot parlor must of paid well.
Meemaw was the cool grandma before it was even a thing.
I was I'd had a grandmother while I was growing up. Maybe we could've done something like this.
I like the fact they’re obviously playing a NES, but they had to make some silly logo to get around Nintendo copyright. Though it is weird they’re using a SNES controller on a NES console.
i think it was supposed to be a super nintendo. the cartridge was on top and had four buttons
Beers are different in both the pov🎉
George and Chuck work wives❤😉
What’s up with the beer case 3:34 3:33
Reminds me of playing mario galaxy as a kid for the first time feeling so super accomplished finally reaching the end. Ahh good times
The way the beers in the crate kept moving with the camera angle really irritated me
