We can’t have those types of funny commercials in the US because everyone has gotten too sensitive and gets offended by the smallest things. Hence, a lot of Americans have lost their sense of humor to appreciate them. For instance, the commercial with the dark skinned baby, it is actually for a skin whitening soap. The priest was confused because both parents had light skin but in actuality, the mother lightened her with the soap. Almost like a guarantee that the soap really works. Then you have the commercial with the hair product that actually makes fun of “ugly” people. It basically conveys a message that you can have very nice hair even if you look like the women or that man at the end. And the lady in the commercial with the slogan “bring out the man in you” was actually trans. Topics like these would probably offend and get a lot of people in the US riled up and American companies are afraid of getting sued and the liabilities.
