More 1986 goodness from my local WMSN network out of Madison, which would soon become Fox 47. Watched their kids programmings frequently, so I was probably watching this broadcast back when it aired.
Witch's Night Out was featured on 70s Commercials Vol 22! I watch that video every year just for the banging theme song! But I forgot about how banging the Legions of Power is too (seen on previous 80s volumes here) BUILD.... FOR BATTLE!
Much has been made of the weird art featured in the channel bumpers, but I need to mention the music. It sounds like what an adult thinks children's music should sound like. Almost like a bunch of sound effects put together that just happens to make a melody. I assume it's just generic production music, but I'd like to find a copy of it!
15:31 - Jace and the Wheeled Warriors and MASK - two of the best cartoon themes of the 80s. Just throw in "No Guts, No Glory" and "Rangers Are Forever" from the Galaxy Rangers, and you have a jam.
8:59 - I guess even back then they weren't waiting for Halloween to end before hawking Christmas. But, who am I to judge? I was making out the first draft of my Christmas List by August when I was a kid.
It has more to do with the 3-6 weeks for delivery, as if they started advertising this in late November or early December it couldn't be guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas. September/October is when pretty much all of the Christmas music compilations started airing on TV back then.
11:12 - When will bullies learn not to tease the kid hanging out with the animated tiger? It never ends well when you challenge them to sports or games.
Circus Fun Cereal- If I saw a stop motion clown come that come to life from the cereal box like that, I would quickly put the cereal box back in the cupboard and get another cereal. 10. WSMN Commercial Bumper- I could totally see that Egyptian image at 3:51 being a giant mascot statue in front of a casino in Las Vegas.
Centurions-Neill Blomkamp for a live-action adaptation Watchimals-@5:46 ..you okay there little guy..? Frosted Flakes-"GRRR!" Legions Of Power-love that early CGI Anti Alcohol PSA-with Kurtis Blow
I'm glad I was able to watch a little bit of Jem and the Holograms (as well as The Beverly Hills Teens) on [a now defunct channel] KidsCo. The cartoon gave me a lot of 80's aesthetic
80s cartoons had the best theme songs!
I agree!

Circus Fun cereal is the living embodiment of sugary kid's cereals from the 80s that it almost seems like a parody of children's cereal.
I wish Circus Fun cereal would come back for a new generation with new ingredients.
18:30 - I remember seeing this one. The plot for this animated special was somewhat similar to the Coneheads movie from 93.
I noticed that, too. Otherwise, I don't remember that cartoon at all.
There’s a local bar in my neighborhood and I always highjack one of the TV’s from my phone with your commercial playlists.

It literally sounds like music they used in a creepy old numbers station

I have ZERO memory of a Coneheads cartoon, and I was 7 in 1986.
Originally aired October 14th, 1983 on NBC

Today I learned that Chuck Lorre wrote for Heathcliff.
That MASK theme song rocks. Would love to see a MASK live action movie
Centurions-Neill Blomkamp for a live-action adaptation

Legions Of Power-love that early CGI

Anyone else besides me think that the Circus Fun Cereal commercial would work as a Play Doh commercial, with a few changes?
Had those pumpkin cutters they worked alright.
That witch really creeps me out.
18:00 - It's Halloween, Witch Magick!!
1:05 wrong superhero guys.
