Whoa!!!! I remember WATCHING these commercials, for real in 1986! It was a Friday night and we were off from school! I was at my grandparents' house on the other side of town staying for the night and I had to convince them to let me stay up to watch this movie on channel 5! I think my grandmother almost had a heart attack that I wanted to stay up until 10pm! As the TV I was watching it on was in the bedroom I was sleeping in she made sure as soon as Yogi's First Christmas was over at 10 I had to get to bed!
23:50 - I used to have that doll of Fievel the Mouse shown here. I was a big fan of An American Tail, and saw it twice at the theater that fall, so I found it under my Christmas Tree that year.
Burlington Coat Factory- Looks like somebody went on a spree through the winter stock footage library to create this commercial. Francesco Rinaldi Spaghetti Sauce- The animated woman character mascot on the spaghetti sauce label at the end of this commercial looks like she could be a relative of the woman character mascot on the Sun Maid Raisins box. Mr. Clean- Any cleanser that summons reflections of its mascot giving me signs of approval while using it to clean reflective surfaces is a winner in my book.
I was eight years old. I remember these like they were yesterday. Many were also shown on KTVU Channel 2 San Francisco. I thought "CRYSTAL DARK" had to do with the black background.
3:07 with glasses and a haircut like that you know they have to be a mad genius. Wonder about the heated debates that have gone over that trivial pursuit game if Darth Vader or Anakin is the correct answer. Francesco throwing mad shade too dang it's like the creator of Demon Souls going on to make Dark Souls under Namco after being dismissed by their original company.
1:09 - "We'd like to make a suggestion - Ask your clothes what they'd prefer". And if you actually hear voices answering, here's another suggestion - Check yourself into the nearest institution immediately...
Kool-Aid Koolers was a soft drink that contained juice as a natural flavor. It wasn't claiming to be 100% fruit juice. BTW provided timecode is incorrect.
Francesco Rinaldi Spaghetti Sauce-better than Ragu and Newman's Own IMO Minolta Freedom III Camera-always thought these ads wouldve been perfect to play in the background of a Blade Runner film Polaner All Fruit-..and that was the last time he was invited to breakfast WNYW Channel 5 10 O'Clock News Promo-@23:13 mustve been a blackout in that store Samsung-The Little Rascals vs Godzilla..that wouldve made for a interesting film It's 10 PM...Do You Know Where Your Children Are?-hopefully nowhere near Miss Grimes's vicinity..(voice sounded kind of creepy 😱)

23:13 - The carnage at this particular shopping center was so extreme, it could not be televised.
LOVE watching these commercials. Especially from the NYC area.
More blocks recorded from NYC in '86 are coming.
Thanks for the wonderful memories...gotta love them 80s baby!

@08:11 the iconic "only from the mind of Minolta"
@80sCommercialVault do you know who did the voiceover for this?
RE: Minolta, no idea who is doing the voiceover
@@80sCommercialVault sounded a little like Peter Thomas but maybe I'm just projecting that because that's who I'd like it to be lol

Its 10pm, do you know where youre children are?
I was in a crib in a Philadelphia home at 4 months old.
13:35 - The Charade Game. Clinically proven to inspire madness, spastic movement and insanity...
20:17 It's juice that's 20% juice?

Hard to see this Macy's commercial and not think of Hannibal Lecter: "You use Evian skin cream, and sometimes you wear L'air du Temps...but not today"
And oh hey, John Corbett in the Samsung commercial.
