Engraving Glass with the xtool S1

A quick cheap and easy way to engrave glass using the xtool S1 40-watt diode laser or any laser that has the same capabilities. In this video we use some super cheap acrylic paint and the rotary tool from xtool. with the two items combined it is easy and simple to engrave glass and cost very little. No need to buy expensive product for glass engraving when you can do it for around a dollar. Using the rotary tool you can engrave cups, tumblers, and glass. the RA2 by xtool serves multiple purposes.

I saw a video where a guy used a sharpie instead of paint, but I’m waiting for my engraver to arrive so what do I know lol

I havent tried the sharpie but it could work, I do know the paint works though lolol. Maybe I'll test the sharpie thing, it might be quicker than watching paint dry lol

What would have happened if you put the black paint inside the glass instead of outside? Would it have made a difference?

I havent tried that but I'm curious if it wpuld melt on the inside since the laser passes through glass and stops at the paint

@@everygooddaydesigns Are you happy with the S1? Been looking into getting into lasers but dang hard trying to find a UA-camr that wasn’t given a machine for free or sponsored… I saw your other video with the IR laser having a problem, did XTool fit it for you?

@@TheExtremeElementz so I like the S1 alot and the software that comes with it is straight forward. I reccommend it if you are looking for something to do work with. (Get the 40W if you plane on cutting). I wish it had a little more space inside the machine for engraving though.
As far as the IR laser, they sent me a new one, it does the same thing though. Idk what the issue is with it but I think its something to do with software. The laser almost always say its overheating after using it for just a few seconds. If that is the way its buikt then they should rethink the IR laser
