Memory trick for the calcification dates: I remember the years, A.D. vs B.C. and the last one is E as in Eighteen (18) which is the last number in the 18 weeks in utero timeline. So A>D>B>C>E, hopefully this helps. Thank you Ryan! :)
Honestly, I am planning to do the same thing as soon as I pass the Board exam and start to work as a DDS I promised to myself this will be the first thing I will do for your channel, as your videos are so helpful and I am pretty sure you do good in this world, universe will return good right back to you, no doubt in it.
Dr. Ryan, your lectures are brilliant. Another way to remember the eruption times with a few exceptions would be : „Start with the 6-year molar“ add +1 for each erupting tooth number . e.g. in case of the first premolar 4+6 = 10 yrs. the canines and third molars are the exception though. Greetings from Austria.
OMG Dr Ryan, You are Amazing.. I wish I had your videos in my college years.. I would have been a University Topper.. I have been going through some videos of yours,They are Mindblowing.. And You make it understand very well..Really I don’t have words to Praise You.. May God Bless you..
Extraordinary, fantastic and majestic work! I can not describe amount of thankfullness that i feel about this project you did. THANK YOU doctor, i ll say it once but you deserved a milions of that! Keep going, and i wish you luck in every segment of your life! Greetings from Serbia!
Ryan. This was something I didn’t get first round in 1981 ( were you born yet). Thank you fir the UNDERSTANDING your clarity is giving me. Perhaps this time taking the boards I’ll get it. Bravo fir your work
I really wish you were my dental instructor. You demonstrate how complex topics should be simplified. Perhaps our professors should watch your videos before teaching us. ❤️❤️ keep going Dr Ryan 🎉
Hi doctor! I am from India and I found your video filled with ample information and your English accent is quite good. Plus your teaching methodology is amazing. I really enjoyed your video. Keep motivating students like me💯💯
was really sad when there was no pedodontics video from u...and now so happy that u worked on it really hard for us aspirants...Do good and good comes back to you..God bless...
Thank you so much Dr. Ryan! Just the advice I needed right now! Is there any time to do these annotations? Do you use the 15 min instruction/guide part to do it? are those instructions not so important? Thanks!
Ryan I know you hear lots of You are the best! thank You! You Rock so im not going to say it...Im going to contribute with the monthly sponsoring, it may not be much but the time you spend doing these videos speaks a lot about you... Thank You for teaching us and helping us understand, sharing your knowledge means the world to all of us.. :) Now, quick question.. will you be making any new Ortho videos or the ones you have are updated ? :) Thanks
Ryan. It just dawned on me. Children with Amelo or Dentin ogenesis imperfects may have had a trauma in utero. Such as a mother abusing substances, an illness or…. Is my thinking in order or am I thinking too much.
Hi Dr.Ryan, thank you for your amazing video. I was taught that there are 5 components during the cap/bell stage. The fifth component is stratum intermedium at the cap stage.

In a developing crown, ameloblasts and odontoblast A. are polarized in opposite directions. B. initially produce an organic nonmineralized matrix. C. begin to produce matrix simultaneously D. have rapid cell division. hi Rayan we learn from the video that ameloblast and dentoblast will be beside each other so i will assume A IS CORRECT but also you mention that they start to form organic matrix amelogenin and collagen so B should be correct also what do you think the right answer this question come before its released
I would go with A, since the nuclei of both cell types are clearly polarized in opposite directions--there is no debating that. One could debate the state of mineralization of dentin when it is first laid down, so I would go with A here.
hello dr ryan, your videos are amazing thank you so much i have a doubt dr in case of primary dentition which tooth numbering system is used to indicate tooth as per universal numbering system the As are second molars here centrals are mentioned as As please clear my doubt sir 🙏

It is a bit confusing, but tooth #4 (Universal system) is a second premolar, but an upper 4 (Palmer system) is a first premolar because it is the fourth tooth over from the midline.
Not quite! Primary teeth follow the 1/2 rule. Primary teeth tend to pierce the gum when half of their root development is complete. And it takes 1-2 years for a primary tooth to complete its root development.
great videos really helpful for studying.... used them for part 1 and now part 2 too. im a bit confused i cant seem to find the rest of the videos... because i saw them yesterday?? may be im mistaken
I am hard at work on the series now! I take about one week per video because I try to make high quality, high yield videos for all of you. Stay tuned for the next video coming soon 😀
Hi Ryan, Is there anyway to receive copies of the slideshows? Am preparing to take the board exam and would love to have a physical copy to study when I don't have access to youtube. I would be willing to pay in order to help the channel. So thankful to you for making these videos. Thanks

I found it useful like other videos I just wish you had done better editing to the voice or using better microphone as I found the voice annoying in these series of Odontope

Ryan. I failed my clinical boards by 3 points. I taken them four times in different states. This was different. The control of patient selection was taken. I was given a manakin with plastic gums, synthetic calcalus. No x rays of root structure and no tissue or inflammation to guide me. The ultrasonic was compromised by magnetic interference from magnets which held the typodont onto the dummy. The power could not be adjusted. The calcalus on my manakin was burnished in. I would never choose a patient with that type of debris. Back to ultrasonics. I figure ultrasonics are contraindicated with un protected pace makers. The largest magnet wins. Ok. I failed. I’ll retake the test and pay the fee. I have written to the CDCE about my concerns. This is larger than me. This could e a situation that causes thousands of dollars in Instrument damages..if I am correct. They should pass me for my observations. My practice strengths over 35 years is patient management motivation and behavior changes. I love my profession. I want my license back soon when my aging Mother expires I can, with a US license go to Dharmsala Nadia. Maybe Ethiopia and help wrk or set up a dental hygiene school fir peoples s poor. Without care. Money has never been my strongest motivation. Helping others has. I teach every patient that sits in my chair. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXCELLENT WORK. YOUR THE BEST.
