I just wanted to thank you for your videos ! I passed my test and your videos are the best sources for test ! I walked out of the exam knowing i passed which wasnt the case for my part 1! i encourage everyone to get the notes to supplement the videos and go over the notes few times and you are all set !! YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!!
Hey doctor Rayan! your videos are amazing!! I am also doing Orthodontics.. Could you please recommend some books to dive deep into the world of orthodontics? Programs overseas are very different, and i actually would like to get your perspective on what to read. Thank you!!!
Hello doc, the definition of center of rotation is unfixed point but you said that it is where the point where an object tend to be not moving therefore fixed?
Men if you can post more ortho explained videos would be great, like transpalatal, forsus, nance appliances, difference between roth, damond or MBT braces
I review different appliances in the Comprehensive Treatment & Appliances video in this series. Reviewing the different bracket systems like Roth, Damon, and MBT would be fun for a future video! However, it is far beyond the scope of the board exam.
DR RAyan How do you minimize Tipping Increase the amount of force Increase the duration of force Decrease the amount of force Decrease the duration of force is it d or C?
Great video, but I'd like to know more or less where the line goes between how much more root surface is necessary for maximum anchorage in comparison to moderate.
I’m not sure I understand your question. Anchorage demands depend entirely on how many teeth you’re pulling against and the quality of the bone within which those teeth reside, so there isn’t a set standard you can follow for every patient.
Oh shoot, I wish I could have those videos done sooner. I’ll be starting the Radiology series probably next month. You can check out the Mosby’s book or Boards Mastery app if you haven’t already.
Hey Ryan I did decks for two months now I didn’t retain anything in my mind.... my exam is in feb I don’t know what to do.... please suggest me something
I definitely think my videos are the highest yield resource you can use to study. If you are looking for more direction, you can check out my Patreon page at www.patreon.com/mentaldental I have a study plan on there that provides a detailed 8-week guide for how to get prepared as best as possible.
What an interesting question! I've never heard reciprocal anchorage applied in that specific context, but technically, if you are pitting two posterior segments against each other (one for transverse expansion and the other for transverse constriction), I don't see why it couldn't be called reciprocal anchorage.

So in 13:14 shouldn't the rotation of tooth be from lingual to buccal? Because of couples rotating counter clockwise?

Proffit's Contemporary Orthodontics book is my top recommendation!
Hello doc, the definition of center of rotation is unfixed point but you said that it is where the point where an object tend to be not moving therefore fixed?

I’m planning on 4-5 more ortho videos. I will begin a Radiology series next, but I’m not sure how many videos will be there yet.

Hello Ryan,
Where do I study radiology from? My exam is in a month and you have no videos for them :( Any other source that you would recommend?
