One of the first Malaysian reviewers that delves into charging curves... This is one of the dimensions in EV ownership that people need to be aware of. Well done for highlighting this.
Great thorough review as always from Team PT. Excellent videography as well. But is there an error when it comes to the ambient lighting part whereby you mention "for once, they are ahead of BMW?"
drove the iX the other day during auto cruise on highway, auto lane change feels it is done abruptly and very sharp steering input, if ure going at 120kmh it will feel like a whiplash lol
i thought a car engine is the most expensive item on a car…but EV baffles me …yes i know the costs of battery is expensive but it’s still a battery ! you dont need a team of smart engineers to design them …
i4 just look way sexier and sporty look. but i5 interior look look pretty but exterior just look like a car that suits middle age guy sad thing it don’t have BMW iconic laser light
No matter which brand it is whether i can or cannot afford....i will not be buying electric cars in the future even if it makes my current car 20 years old.....
Live and let live. Some people still insist on writing with fountain pens instead of ball point, mechanical watches vs digital, flip phones instead of smartphones.
Depends on your taste. But at least this car looks good and more fresh than previous gen. Also can’t agree with you on reliability as I agree with someone that BMW is no longer poor reliability than in the past
gtr sh1t interior design, sh1t materials, sh1t ride and comfort, small screen, low-tech, , obsolete for the last 10 yrs. Going from a GTR into a Audi A3 feels like going from an Axia to Bentley.
I actually can afford it. But, onli s0h1's like u think it's worth to pay that for a camry or accord build quality Actually I lie, current camry/accord tapau gtr in build quality.

I've actually exceeded WLTP claims on a few EVs I've tested, and expect most cars to get around 90% of their WLTP claims on my usual drive routes. This i5 falls slightly short of 90% of claimed, likely due to the 21in wheels as specced.
@@hafrizshah4937 BMW claims 497 - 582 km WLTP for the eDrive40 (depending on specs). Average cruise speeds in malaysia can be pretty low, which helps BEVs a lot, so 90% maybe achievable sometimes, but is unrealistic in most cases. If you are going to talk about range and efficiency, then it would be advisable to normalize your test conditions, and report average speeds and temperature conditions. I do not think that telling your audience to expect the max WLTP claims to be achievable is pertinent.
Really dont know if the brand, class and performance worth the trouble of poor reliability & entitled mentality of BMW Malaysia dealerships. Owners know what im talking abt
If you buy Mercedes, definitely will be more problems and recently owners have been complaining about new mercedes models in terms of quality and also mercedes aftersales can’t handle the problems now unlike other rivals
But better than Mercedes Benz. Mercedes is just badge but come with poorly designed but poor reliability. Somemore, Mercedes sells expensive car but with cheap quality.
If you've ever driven a premium car , you know that is false. The difference between a myvi and a civic is massive. The difference between a civic and 3 series is massive. Not just in terms of drive, but also materials.

Looks better and stunning looking than E Class

This will smoke against E Class as brand new
Smooth delivery, great coverage. The usual entertaining and informative review by Hafriz
The new 5 series is beautiful. People just can’t accept change
NICE video, hopeful can make one i5 real range test from kl to pg or johor , tq
Shame they put on the 21” wheels… as a comfy eDrive 40 executive sedan, a 19” or 20” set of wheels should be the option unless you go up to M60 or 50
shuld be able to spec if you custom order, i think
Better than Mercedes EQE
Agree. Even also better than Mercedes E Class W214 too. Mercedes triangle tailights looks weird at the back

Thank you for the in depth review

I like your presentation very detailed awesome ❤
Can't you control the fan from the bottom dedicated touch panel
That 'grill glow' are the 1st or they did it with other models?
What's the regen system like? Smooth and intuitive?
Looking at this car now it just looks better and better as you get used to it
any ideas when the m60 variant will be coming to malaysia?
As usual, this hafiz guy being a mercedes fans giving a “honest” review.
What color of this new 5 series?
Doesn’t matter anymore since they’ve made the 5 series that big and killing off the inline 6 for the mass volume models
Well, much better than rival EQ E and E Class W214
To Which countries they dump all the batteries waste to in the future?
This is a myth. 95% of EV batteries are recyclable/recycled because they are still valuable.
"a head of BMW"? at 12:04
I have the iX and is careful in saying that everything just works so BMW seems to know what they are doing with EVs. I have home charging FWIW.

Nice and handsome
should be cheaper because EV car is not taxed..no??
Looks a little bit too tall from the front which is very un-m sport
No comment about brakes?🤔
The brakes feel natural. It just drives like a normal ICE car
Surprising that an experienced reviewer expects to replicate WLTP figures in realistic driving conditions. Nobody achieves WLTP.
