How good is that sound from a large speaker George!! Makes me want to move from HO to O ...or is that G scale? I guess the next step is to put batteries in the loco and you're as real as it gets? Cheers Gregg.
Yes. How long the CurrentKeeper lasts will depend on the model. Please contact our Support Team for more help with this: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com. They will be happy to help.
Please contact our Support Team directly for help with this: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com They will be happy to explain the process in regard to your specific model.
Does bluenami support smoke units? while id love to use bluenami I also would like to have smoke for major outdoor running, TCS's 501 DCC has very good smoke even synced to what the prime mover does? Does it support it similar to that?
You can use a function output on the Blunami to control your smoke unit. Contact our Support Team directly and they can walk you through the process: (970)259-0690 ext. 22 or support@soundtraxx.com
The two board formats we have right now are the BLU-2200 and BLU-4408. More formats are in the works. Our Support Team can help you identify which models they will work in: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com As far as factory installed goes, that is up to the locomotive manufacturer.
Can the decoder be setup to run on a standard DC layout WITHOUT connecting to the app? I.E. Can the train run like a normal analogue locomotive on a DC layout, or will it just sit there unless connected to the app? I know DCC decoders usually have a dual-mode operation option where you can run DCC when on a DCC layout, or the locomotive behaves like a typical analogue layout when on standard DC power.
Blunami will operate in DC, DCC, or wireless mode. We have a few videos on this and you can always contact our Support Team directly to discuss further: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com
Hey George, I had a question regarding the installation of this decoder in other locomotives such as the Emd Sd42-2 which I havnt seen listed but I currently have 1 from USA trains and would like to know if this will work for it as well? Please please get back as I am really looking forward to experience sound in my g scale locomotives
In theory a similar setup to the GP38-2 should be possible for the SD40-2. We do have an articulated mode which can be enabled in CV 112 using the Blunami app. Contact our Support Team for more details on this: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com
Thank you for the feedback. We do not have a release date for the android app yet, but it is being designed so that the current decoders will work with it.
The stall current on the Blunami is rated at 4amps. The stall current on any USA Trains locomotive if far far higher than 4amps. How is blunami able to handle higher stall currents?
Yes. With the 4 motors, you will wire 2 of the motors in series in each truck, the parallel the pairs to the decoder to keep the current under 4A. This is what I was alluding to about Bachmann’s re-release of this model. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
As long as the stall current of the Kalamazoo loco is below 4A, then you should be fine. These were released many years ago, so test the stall current to be sure. If you need further assistance, then contact us at support@soundtraxx.com
When this product came out, the first thing I thought of.. G Scale!! Awesome George.
Yes, this is a great application for Blunami. Thanks for watching.
George s always great InfoMation
I do my best! Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
:)
Would love to see a guide on converting an old 1980’s DC LGB locomotive.
Thanks for the feedback, we will keep this in mind. Our installs are limited to models we have access to though.
This Blunami looks awesome and also gives the ability to use a battery on your locomotive.
Thanks for the feedback, we are excited about this product.
I want to go large scale but not loose details.🎉
"Let's talk with the locomotive off"!😂😂😂
:) These can get loud!

This one is G. And batteries are a natural for Blunami large scale BLU-4408!! Tons of possibilities!
Yes and yes! We are excited about this.
Look forward to an install video, that locomotive sounds incredible!! Perfect for the small fleet of G Scale I have.
Thank you. It sure is!
Will a current keeper (that is hooked-up to the decoder) help the locomotive when going over dirty track with DC?
Yes. How long the CurrentKeeper lasts will depend on the model. Please contact our Support Team for more help with this: (970)259-0690 ext.22 or support@soundtraxx.com. They will be happy to help.
I'm very interested in this system.
I'm currently using Revolution in my SD70 and Dash 9.
What would be the best way to convert over to this setup?

Im still going to need a few of those blun2200 for some of my locomotives
Great!
Blunami: a real game changer!
Thanks!
What about doing a lashup with one or multiple units will it support this.
Yes, you can consist with Blunami. It's easier than ever! Check out these videos: ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=blunami+consisting
if your track is powered with DC, will Blunami still support consisting?
As long as you have power to the decoder it will work - all features. Consisting is still in the works on the android app though.
Hi from Glasgow Scotland 🏴 when are we going to see this in the 🇬🇧 for Hornby and Bachmann Model Locomotives

@SoundtraxxDCC Thank you So much!! Looking forward to Using your Guys Products😊
Is there a time estimate on the Android version?
This is awesome and exactly what is needed in the hobby!
Thank you for the feedback. We do not have a release date for the android app yet, but it is being designed so that the current decoders will work with it.
Question
What blunami decoder works on g scale I'm thinking of getting a usa trains sd50-2
The BLU-4408: soundtraxx.com/products/blunami/blu-4408
The stall current on the Blunami is rated at 4amps. The stall current on any USA Trains locomotive if far far higher than 4amps. How is blunami able to handle higher stall currents?
Wire the two motors in series and that will drop the stall current down below 4a.
George: I Have a ASTER-LGB GG1 (G-Scale) w/sound that runs on DC. I wish to instal a BLUNAMI DECODER; How to ? if it is Possible ?
Contact our Support Team directly and they will help you: (970)259-0690 or support@soundtraxx.com
Can this work on thomas and friends locomotives to and iOS game controllers to?
If the decoder will fit in the engine and the stall current is not too high you can use Blunami. The app will work with an iOS game controler.
Im new to this. Its ben 5 months. Has android come out yet ?
Android is close to being released. The decoders that are out there already will work with the new app when it is ready.
Will it work with ab Arizto craft g scale -9
Yes. With the 4 motors, you will wire 2 of the motors in series in each truck, the parallel the pairs to the decoder to keep the current under 4A. This is what I was alluding to about Bachmann’s re-release of this model.

Hello
Pour quand la sonorisation des locomotives européennes ?
We do not have Blunami for European locomotives yet. We do have Econami UK: soundtraxx.com/products/ecouk-decoders
Mais j’aimerais la version Blu 4408 pour l’échelle G
Le marché Allemand et Français vous attend car je fait de la pub pour le Blunami 4408
Yay!
Apparently we forgot to insert the installation video. Here is the installation video for the GP38-2: ua-cam.com/video/IdyTNJlb8P8/v-deo.html
Bachmann advertises that the model will have a speaker already pre-installed. Hope that will make the install video for their Dash 9 much easier
Its linked in the video at 4:13 and in the description.
If you need any advice on the install just give us a call!
Can it be installed on Kalamazoo 4-4-0 Locomotives?
As long as the stall current of the Kalamazoo loco is below 4A, then you should be fine. These were released many years ago, so test the stall current to be sure. If you need further assistance, then contact us at support@soundtraxx.com
