Rewards that WORK while Potty Training (and it's not candy as bribery!)

If you think your toddler doesn't care about rewards while potty training, you're doing it wrong. When your child chooses their rewards, they're going to want to earn them. This is how we need to implement a reward system while potty training. Thanks for your videos. I have a question… my daughter is stuck with preferring to poop in her underwear than on the toilet. She will do it on the toilet if we catch it in time…
with your reward system, I know I wouldn’t remove a star for pooping in her undies, but how would you reinforce that pooping in her undies was the wrong decision? Would you just carry on the same star chart aiming for three poops in the toilet?

You'd need to have her help you clean the mess. And honestly, she's not ready for underwear.. if she's pooping in it, she shouldn't have it. Go back to the beginning of potty training and start over until she has it all down pat. Reach out for more help: slumberandbloom.com/pottytraining/
