I bought roof braces, roof skin, both quarters, trunk, fastback package tray, rear filler panel that will get me a good start on making it an fastback, and I thank you so much for your videos, your making a dream come true for me,
Man I do appreciate all your videos, but I would like to see how to do the inner structure especially going up to the windows both the door and back glass, do I need to add metal around back glass to thicken for strength to seal the window and the drip rails even show a little closer view of what you did in those areas, thank you, a tree limb fell on the back of my 68 coupe so its a perfect candidate and I'm sure I'll figure out things as I go, it's a challenge for me, with health finances too, but I have time and you have givien me a drive and a hope and no way I would be able to afford a fastback anymore or any other way, so a piece at a time I can afford it instead of thousands of dollars and a bunch of parts I would never use anyway, thank you
I just fill the void after I fastback the car. 18 guage metal bend a lip at top where it meets rear glass section and attach it to the coupe package tray at bottom.
@@MrGonein60 I haven’t got there yet I had to go put a roof on but then after seeing your video I thought uh-oh then I looked at that little quarter inch gap and realized that the roof was just slightly forward. Haven’t tried the front window yet.
I'm so covered up with work right now I can't take on any more and would rather not price the job right now. I will however help u through it. I've helped other subscribers with theirs tips tricks and measurements
I build a new channel then put square tubing behind that then another piece that ties into the wheel house that ties everything together. Then I'll put a piece of sheet metal on the inner rear that also ties everything together. It's stronger than factor. I haven't been able to get real inner structure for awhile now.
What kind of welder do you use and can you help me with where and how to weld rear interior mounting brackets with creating my own rear interior structure like you're doing here. Thanks in advance!!!
I'm currently saving up for my dream car. 68 mustang. The fastback is the look I've always wanted. Shot in the dark. With no pressure what would this cost? If I got a 68 coupe. Thanks in advance.
I bend up a piece of 16 guage steel about 3 1/2 wide and around 14 inches long and bend a 90 degree angle about 1 inch from the edge. I then shrink the 1 inch edge to fit the contour of the drip rail and weld it in. It connects the roof rail support and b pillar together
You should do a video on how you make the inner channel and inner structure ! It would save me over 4K instead of ordering it from dynacorn. My car has good rockers, b pillars a pillars, ect
@@ScottHarness1 looks like you do awsome work. You definitely don't need any of my advice. I probably need to take a few pointers from you. I'm really just burned out on these mustangs. I've built 42 of the clone cars. Same old thing day in and out.

I’d love to see your inner structure you made. Not sure which video that lives in if you have one.

Yes want to see how to cut quarters off
I wanted to see you use that Nice plasma! Disclose what tools you used so others can also get same tools
That's a good idea
My roof is a bit forward, and went to fit back stainless in and its short. How do you fix that?
Oh no. Did u manage to get a windshield in it
Also some aftermarket rear stainless is stamped wronge. I've gotten a few short pieces before

@Captain Crunch god I wish u the best of luck. I know how disappointing it can be. I trust u will figure it out
Thank you so much brother.
Happy to help
How much would you charge to do this to a Mustang i have?

I use my little lincoln 140 on this sheetmetal stuff. Ill get u some measurements.
@@MrGonein60 Man I really appreciate that!!!
What size welding wire did you use and what are the settings on your Lincoln 140?
.30 wire wire speed 3.5 and heat amperage turned all the way up.
@@MrGonein60 Thanks man!!! You're helping me get through my build. Wish I could send you some photos.

When using your MIG welder do you use flux core wire or do you use gas?
Gas. I have 2 welders. A lincoln 140 for light stuff and a hobart 220v for the big stuff.
How much does it cost to do this conversion?
Few thousand
Where are you getting your body panels from? Dynacorn? I'm considering the Champion Mustang conversion kit for my 69--any experience?
I get my metal from dynacorn. Dealers mark it up to high. I get it direct from dynacorn.
@@MrGonein60 Thanks for the follow up. I also can't find anybody with panels in stock. Are you running in to that?
@@bradrozman5916 yes. Even dynacorn is out

If you get metal direct from dynacorn it will cost around 1750 in metal.

How do you buy directly from them? Their website just says they will locate a distributor nearby
Just sent you a message on Facebook about your conversion service. Please respond when you have a moment. Thanks
