In standard these cards feel like they are designed for Demon Hunter. Not many other designs like pain Warlock to support this mechanic in Priest pool.
Queue up against a warlock deck and steal their pain cards

I both like and hate how this expansion's cards are designed backwards. These are demon hunter cards, not priest cards, and they work BEST when the tourist is on the board? Wasn't the point of these cards to be kinda like dual class cards in the sense they mix 2 things the classes have in common?
No, the idea was supposed to be that classes can dip into another classes card pool and get some extra flavour.
But even with that they've been failing. With stuff like Rogue wanting nothing to do with Warlock cards, DK having little use for Shaman cards, Priest not wanting Priest cards...
It seems they're continuing their trend of "Dual Class" cards in which they're only useful for 1 of the 2 classes they're made for...
@@tarille1043 they can't decide what cards are going to be powerful and used. Plenty of dual class cards are viable in both classes
I’m already predicting that Hunter’s cards will have big beast support, it makes sense considering the first set of Priest cards, and Warrior’s weapon allowing big minions to be cheated out.

@@propanesquid5234 there only good 2 agrro decks in wild: pure pirate rogue and shadow priest. There 2 versions of miracle rogue, that build an early giant board, pirate-garote rogue, that just replace some agrro with combo finisher. Demon seed warlock isn't aggro, it is miracle deck with giants low cost dark glare triggers and mass prodaction as the finisher after turn 5-6 Tamsin, but fragile to aggro. even shaman isn't in meta right now because it is not fast enough. most other decks are fast combo decks trying to rush opponents or XL reno decks trying to survive this meta to the late game and after reno hero nerf only druid still works.

You resumed very well what I think of the tourist concept : "This might be a good Demon Hunter card". Shouldn't it be the other way around?!? Good Priest-feels cards that could see play in DH? I see absolutely no reason to play these self-damaging cards in Priest, and all the reasons for DH to use them. I even predict that one of these cards will be nerfed, because of DH!

How else will Blizzard force an aggro deck to put in a slower tempo card using the new tourist concept? Put their best cards in their alternate class

Sooooo, Acupuncture does 8 damage to the enemy fof 1 damage with Aranna in play....and Demon Hunter got a bunch of Charge (despite Blizzard saying Charge would be nearly obsolete on new cards). Since Zeddy doesn't say it anymore, I will have to say it: BLIZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAARD!
All these cards are just more possibilities for DH, but i might be wrong, i dont know what is the priest tourist legendary yet.

Brain Masseuse is definitely a nerf to Death Knight's "The Scourge" Spell.

@@pepsitentacion6357 I will say it was decent when there were more powerful Undead in the pool for standard, But after March of the Lich King rotated out there were a lot less.
@@Chaoticus9 I'd argue that even then it was bad. Just had a better chance at highrolls. Obvously it can scam games but its just too random theres a looot of bad undead.

Brain Masseuse is Soulbound Ashtongue with +1 Attack and Undead Pirate type and that was only used in Silas combos, Sauna Regular will be nerfed to 6 Mana, then to 7 Mana and still be good, and Acupuncture is like Shadowbomber with 1 more damage but without the minion.
Brain Masseuse will probably not see play. But it might in Shadow Priest in wild. Treasure distributer with this? Casually gigantic, very hard to kill for it's cost.
All these cards seem like they're just straight up Warlock cards... But in Priest for some reason?
Like, yeah, Shadow Priest is a thing... But could they not think of a Shadow theme for Priest that isn't "Copy and Paste Painlock Cards"?
True, these are literally Warlock cards for Priest. But that's becuase Aranna also looks like a Warlock card, specifically Tamsin from the Questline, and these are the support cards, so they are more for Demon Hunter than Priest.
@@locogato3488 Even so, there's no reason to simply copy/paste Warlock cards.
There's potential for Priest themed cards that support Aranna.
Things like Lifesteal and "Your healing becomes damage" effects would also support PainDH while being decidedly Priestly in theme.
@@tarille1043 I know, they didn't have any reason to make Priest's cards just support for Aranna instead of something usable for both classes.
But I am glad that Warlock"s Tourist is not a Priest Tourist so they can't use these with the Questline.

Does hot coal deal 2 damage and then 1, or the 2 becomes 3? I believe that by the wording it should be 2 and then 1, which makes it double spell damage effects, which might be relevant at some point, with a good spell damage minion, just like we had one in March of the Lich King. Idk, just something to think about
As a Priest enjoyer, I hate these cards. I guess I am sticking with Control and Overheal Priest.

That 1 mana self damage minion will be tilting for opponents when you devolve their 2 drops into that :)
Brain masseuse gives Quest priest an early game engine to start damaging you to heal while giving some board presence.

It isn't technically related to fire, since it's meaning the strength inside like your spirit.

Meaning a deck have both tourist cards
Each deck can have only one Tourist, for example adding Aranna, the Priest Tourist into your deck allows you to use the Priest cards of the expansion except Priest's Tourist which will be a Hunter Tourist.

Imagine playing brain masseuse and then your opponent plays the octopus that does octuple damage and you die for 100+ damage.
I feel like damaging your hero is more warlock than priest, not really feeling the drink for priest, just seems like it was made for DH. Honestly it feels like all these are just for DH tourist, feeling less excited for priest.

My autistic side kicks in thinking that flavorwise the tea needs to deal damage to your hero first then 3 damage to a minion.
As if you drink the tea. Get infused. And then deal damage.

Ngl, I feel like they should've scrapped the *entire* tourist mechanic and just made most of these cards dual class cards. It feels like they ran out of ideas for legendaries for this set and that the *Tourist* mechanic is just another, more annoying way to have dual class cards.
