I absolutely buy Hoya for their foliage and not their blooms. I purchased my first Hoya in 2021 and went down a rabbit hole 🤫 it’s definitely one of my favorite genus.
I have had a Hoya carnosa for over 40 years and during Covid I got hooked on other types of Hoya. I have always enjoyed plants but not as much as I enjoy Hoya. Thanks for your enthusiasm for yours. I currently have a 45 year old ponytail palm that is taller than me. I bought it in a tiny 2 inch pot.
I have been growing plants since a neighbor gave me a sick looking snake plant at the age of 12! Many decades ago. It's only in the last few years that I have become addicted to Hoyas! I agree with you on all aspects. My Mathilde has her first bloom and is loaded with peduncles. ❤❤❤
I’m such a Hoyahead. I love the foliage, diversity of the leaf blows my mind. The blooms? I expected to wait years, but most of mine bloom and I’m frequently surprised by a newer acquisition blooming. I just checked my list, I have 39 different varieties of Hoya. They took over #1 genus from philodendron for me
I love Harli G!!. She and Gena at The Pink Trellis are two of my favorite plant vlog-ers!! I love you beautiful hoyas also!! Thanks for sharing your collection!!
Hi very new hoya head here 🙋♀️ and only have two so far, a australis 'lisa' & a black margin. But i am already wanting more! Am a new plant parent of only a couple of months so now i just need to learn how to take care of hoya 😅. Thanks for the amazing video, i also love harli g & watched her recent hoya video. Yours is a great counterpart to it. Just stumbled across your channel a few days ago & am really enjoying your content. Can't wait to watch more of your videos 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
@luciansteph thank you & wow how cool our first hoyas were australis lisa! Do you find as a whole hoyas require the same general care? Or do dif hoya need dif things? I'm assuming you probably have a hoya care video(s), so i will try searching for it.
@@staywildmoonchild2318 common Hoya esp the Carnosas have very similar care. When you get into thin leaf, uncommon and variegated Hoya, I find the care to be a little different. @@luciansteph thank you so much! I am going to check that video out right now! I just bought 3 new hoya online a couple days ago that should be arriving soon. So i def am a sponge right now to all the advice & knowledge i can soak up from much more experienced & knowledgeable plant parents such as yourself.
😆It’s funny you should say that because when filming, I imagine that I’m talking to my viewers while they’re doing something else. Thanks for watching 🫶🏽🪴🤗

Hehe you started from young. Love that! Yes! I hear that the Mathilde is a generous bloomer. Have fun!!!!
Firstly I love that they are easy care..for the most part. I love that many of them are vigorous growers. I enjoy that some of them can sunstress.
It’s true. Especially the non variegated ones are good growers. Yes! Sun stressing 😍😍

Did someone mention Hoyas💚
😂🙋🏽♀️🪴🫶🏽
Fungii hoya=❤😊❤

I'm new to Hoyas and drawn to them for their foliage. I would rather not deal with the sap from the blooms.
🪴Haven’t experienced them yet. We will see how I fare when the day comes 😅
I love how descriptive you are, i am able to listen to you while i am cooking dinner. Much love from Delaware 🪴
