My Sarawak is my fav, slow but huge leaves! My Pubicalyx is growing like a weed, sold my crimson princess and Australia Lisa, they were getting too big for my space! My crinkle 8 and compacta are some of my top favs I need a Bella!!
I have my grandmother's Hoya Carnosa; its leaves are so dark green that they look black! I keep it in a bright room without direct sunlight hitting it. I love all your Hoya's.
@ it really is. I love the leaves. I’m not a huge fan of Hoya but I have seen a few that I may want to add to Kim plant collection. Hoya linearis is one, Hindu rope (I love trailing plants) but now that you introduced me to the Viola I’m in love
My sunrise is still a baby, no new growth yet, I adore the red sunstressing though!! I can’t keep a khroniana alive 🤷♀️ nor the Sigillatis, I’m a big leaf Hoya lover, I think I only have 2 and the clandestine yellow is finicky, we’re trying different growing options for her I killed my first 2 compactas, finally got the current trailing!!
I wonder if your 'Larisa' is a dud. I got a cutting, rooted it myself and its growing quite a bit. Gave me 3 or 4 new big leaves in 3 months. They're surprisingly thirsty but they usually grow more than yours seems to have. Love your collection! It's interesting to see how different our shared species plants are and to see all the hoya you show that are now going onto my wishlist!
I think so too. BUT I didn't know that it was thirsty. I think I'll put it in a self watering pot during my next repotting and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for sharing those tips with me. Glad your plant is growing well for you. Keep up the great work! :-)
Your number 1 hoya the Heuschkeliana has been in my wishlist from the first time I saw it with another UA-camr Kevin....I don't drive and I saw this Hoya only in London Ontario plant nursery, but I don't drive...so I wish I can reach that nursery to get that Hoya or if in the future our plants places here in Toronto and the GTA will finally have them....I will buy triple right away so I don't have to wait too long to grow it😂 I'm also patiently waiting for a Gunung Gading or Caudata Sumatra which are both similar....and a Kaimuki or Archboldiana in red flower...I'm a gardener at heart, recently I bought 3 crested moon cactuses as insurance if they die one by one😂, also found a stenocactus that's grafted as moon cactus....I'm sooooo happy to just have found it finally...but actually, i have someone who spies for me. I give her a list of my wishlist plants with photos and she goes all over plant places and reports to me whenever she found them😂😂😂then I drag my husband after work to get to the place soon before other ppl get them.
You're a real plant detective! 🕵️♀️ Sounds like it's time to go on a roadtrip to london lol. The seem to be regularly restocking them though. Yes, this is one of the times I would suggest duplicates because it can be tricky in the beginning. Happy shopping!
You have a bad cutting of Rebecca it's happened to me with all kinds of Hoya if I get a bad cutting whether it came to me and it had previously been diseased or pest not sure? When I buy a whole new plant of it I'm good to go. That's one of my easiest Hoya. I got a dud of Svetlana, I paid $80 for it,. It's never done a thing it only had two leaves maybe three and two of them died the last one is yellowing after over a year of trying different mediums starting over the roots. You will get more dots over the years I hate to bring bad news but I've definitely had quite a few here and there.
💯thank you for this comment! That’s so true. Duds are real! I bought the Rebecca as a plant (a small one yes) but it wasn’t a cutting. I agree that I may have a few plants that are weak from the get go. I’m sorry about your Svetlana ☹️. 🫶🏽🪴🫶🏽
I am going to start my Hoya collection soon ,my first name is Viola middle name Patricia & I saw a Hoya Noelle which is what I named my Gdaughter ,now at least U said the Patricia U 🫶🏽 so maybe I’ll have a good experience
What Hoya recommendations do you have for me? And which ones would you get? 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

Girl you’re giving me whiplash with those angles 😂 I kid I kid. You are a Hoya girlie now 💚💚
Ikr! hehe. I think I was having a little too much fun. I sure am!

I bet it's stunning! 😍I would love mine to do that too.
Thank you! :-)
I love that Hoya Viola. It’s beautiful. It’s lead shape for me 😍
Thank you. While editing I see I was too hard on it. It’s gorgeous!

The hoya flower releases it's nectar at night, which is why they smell so much more at night
Ooooo! Fun fact! Thank you for sharing! 😆🪴

Would you say it’s a little slower? How long have you had to?
@@luciansteph the yellow clandestine? Had her for over 2 years, only lost 1 leaf, no new growth, has a rootball about the size of a toonie, still
@torquess454 oooo. Great choice! 🤩

@luciansteph sure thing! I find they're not as thirsty as something like an undulata, but thirstier than you'd expect them to be.
Best of luck!
@ I appreciate it! 🪴🫶🏽
I have two Hoyas that is doing Nothing no new nothing but it’s still alive 😊 17:46
Two of this? Mine pauses when there’s root issues. Hope it resumes soon. 🪴
