Welcome to Minnesota Rowan and Ruby!! I live just 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic, West of the twin cities. One of my favorite places is the Minnesota landscape arboretum. ❤Huge and beautiful!!! 🥰. If you're over by Saint Paul at all, there's a sandwich shop called Nelson's on the NE corner of snelling avenue and Como avenue. It is a deli. Como avenue also goes right down to Como Park and my favorite things there are the conservatory and the Japanese garden. 💗 Also, a fun, nostalgic place is the largest candy store just south of the twin cities. If you ever do a meet up here, I would love to see you two! You and Ruby feel just like friends of the family! 🤗

Northern Minnesotan here! If you’re ever back, check out, Finland State Forest, or banning park, tons of incredible fun little camp spots come tons of forest roads to explore. I’ve seen so many moose & their calf’s while I was driving around the forest roads exploring the area.
I found that using a mosquito net over my head works well. They have these hats with nets that aren't too bad of a price. Also, the bugs aren't non-existent if you wait until its colder up North. You just need to watch out for early snow and hunters, if you go during hunting season. I did a 28 day solo camping trip many years ago at Lake Toohey and Baker Lake. Dogs have been known to choke on stick pieces, so I don't let dogs play with sticks anymore. I need to get back up North as it has been way too long. The difference between Dunn Bros and other coffees is that Dunn Bros does not burn their coffee beans, which in turn gives it a smoother, less acidic taste. Best Wishes!

Love your channel,you, and Ruby of course :) Your travels take me back a little bit- ten years ago I found myself travelling down to Southern Ontario with a silly Golden Retriever named Trudy (my little son was special needs and was sent to Guelph). We ended up living in my Toyota Matrix for years. We weren't quite as prepared as you are, but it worked lol I"m turning 64 in 5 days, and get the wanderlust again when I watch your awesome videos. This time right away I recognized the geography- and wondered if you were in Thunder Bay then you mentioned Lake Superior and YES, I guess you weren't too far from me here in Thunder Bay! Happy travels guys :)
