Hi Rowan. Like a lot of folks in the comments here I too just stumbled on your channel. Your Pilot looks pretty cozy inside with a lot of nice touches. The only advice I'd give on living in it is to crack a window when you cook to help vent any CO2 vapors. And take it from this Texan who lives in Tornado Alley, the time to head to the shelter is when the sirens go off. Hail does not mean tornado, and is pretty common with t-storms. What you have to worry about with that is the size of the stones. Mostly you'll get pea to dime size, but occasionally, you do get much bigger hailstones. If a tornado is right close, you'll know. The sky will generally have a greenish tinge to it if it's crossing rural areas. In more urban ones, the sky will get absolutely black, and the wind will get really, really strong. Thanks for bringing us on this journey with you.
Great video!!!! From what you have shared, you have gone through a lot. But yet, you’ve got your sobriety and you always make the best of a bad situation. Being freshly showered with a full tummy and just chilling in my van during a FL storm sounds like heaven to me, honestly. The bipolar weather was one of my favorites things about living in FL lol
I don't know if you've heard this before, but if you are under a tornado watch/warning and it starts to hail, run for shelter. I've been through four small tornadoes and it always hails right before they come.
@@NaomiSims-w5gWhen the sky turns green and the wind stops I get nervous. I have been near tornadoes a few streets over but never been in one. I agree, it may hail, be windy, but it may also be still.
A green sky with no wind scares the heck out of me. I’ve lived in Texas my whole life and been in two tornadoes and one hellacious hail storm that totaled three of our cars and smashed all of the windows on the front of my house so, if it starts to hail, I would definitely go inside.
This storm Ripped through our part of Georgia and it was terrifying. I was on edge the whole time because we kept getting tornado warnings. The wind was horrific. Glad you made it through.
What part of Georgia are you from? I am living in Newnan (southwest of Atlanta! We have had one strong storm since we have been living here...14 years!
I’ll be that one person to say it, but be careful with how close the candle is to your plastic plant. I’m not trying to be a weirdo mom type but I would imagine fire risk is scary in a van
@@LouraineWagner-xq8ynWow! I lived not far from Newnan for 10 years, in Douglasville, and we got bad storms all the time. One time I had 9 pine trees fall. I had sirens go off for tornados a few times and the Hurricane Irma storms had 75 - 80 mph winds.
During a storm you should always park near a building to protect yourself, or near some other RVs. Have lived in Fla most of my life. So glad I just found you. Blessings to you!!

I lived in a van for several years and you can usually get a day pass at a gym for less than the Loves shower fee. Plus you get full access to pool, sauna, gym, TV lounge, etc.
My a husband and I went to the local tornado shelter and it was locked. I was so upset. We drove to Walmart and sheltered till the storm had passed. Be safe out there.🌷

This is the 2nd video of yours that I have watched tonight. The 1st was at the marina with Ruby. I find your laugh infectious and friendly. Your smile and personality are so loving and caring. I am a 55 year old single mother of 3 adult children with families of their own. I was born and raised here in Florida. I've seen some of the most devastating hurricanes ever! But I love the storms! I don't like the destruction and aftermath. But the storm itself is calming and beautiful. I wish you the best of luck in your travels and on your beautiful journey. Please keep your doors locked at ALL times and be aware of your surroundings! I love how you have set up your car into such a homey living place! I love how you cook and I admire your strength. Take care and God bless you!❤🙏💫 Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful journey with us!💕
Wow! You are an impressive woman! I don't know what difficulties you've dealt with but you seem to be a resilient survivor with genuine spititual strenth. Beautiful both inside and outside. If yu found happiness alone good for you. If your lonely I'm sure there are many folks who would love to be your soul partner. God bless you.
Just came across your video today. You seem so positive and upbeat. I have been in one tornado so I know it can be scary. One tip I can tell you if you are watching the tornado and it doesn't seem to be moving that means it is coming straight towards you. I learned this from the weather channel. Please stay safe out there.
A tip for the future, when there is a tornado watch and the sky gets dark and it is windy it's best to be in a strong structure. A tornado warning is issued when a tornado is identified on radar or on the ground. Although not likely, you never know if your location will be the unlucky place of the first touch down. Keep an eye on the sky as well as news reports. Your home is very cozy. I think I will try making a shell jar too!
Correct. The Warning is saying it's one on the Ground & a Watch is saying that there is a possibility of one. Either way. I always stay ready as if it was one in front of me. Where I Reside, they have them each time it Storms. Talk about Anxiety! 😬😔🤦
I was going to give another tip I noticed before tornadoes, and I’m not sure it happens all the time, but in the few I’ve seen, the tornado comes with nearly constant lightning and usually hail. If you were to fall asleep in your truck, you would surely be awakened by both. Also, keep a good bicycle helmet handy with you, it will protect your head in a tornado. I also carry an old bike with me and keep it in good working order, just in case my truck becomes disabled, or the roads are impassable. They even sell ones that fold up and are part hybrid. It will fit under your bed.
That looks like a really cozy setup! I am a field tech doing various kinds of tech repairs on the road, and I have to say that most Love's and TA (Travel Centers of America) have excellent showers, much like the one you showed. Some of them are just absolutely incredible, and I have to admit that after a particularly long day in the field, I have certainly gotten my 'washing up' part out of the way, and then just spent like 30 minutes just letting the hot water take my aches away. I've never had anyone mad at me about a time limit. Didn't even know there was one! :) I take my camp gear with me and sometimes I'll stay overnights at a KOA for fun, but most of the time I just overnight in the truck at a Love's or something. Everything you need!
It's soooo pretty inside your van at night!!!!! Well, day to but, you just have it set up so nice!!! Your beef stew looked awesome!!!! The only thing I would have added at the end is Horseradish!!! Yummy!! 😊😊
You made your van seems so homey that people watching can feel that homey feeling your video makes you seem so content and cozy thru the storm . Good job on it all

I love your spirit this was my first time seeing your video, Many prayers for you and your journey. Stay safe and strong. ❤
Thank you! 🙏 Stay strong and safe as well!
This storm Ripped through our part of Georgia and it was terrifying. I was on edge the whole time because we kept getting tornado warnings. The wind was horrific. Glad you made it through.
I’m glad you made it through as well!
What part of Georgia are you from? I am living in Newnan (southwest of Atlanta! We have had one strong storm since we have been living here...14 years!
@@LouraineWagner-xq8yn I live in the Very South lol Near Valdosta which is about 30 miles from Florida. Nashville Ga.
You seem so nice and mentally stable...😁 I would have a hard time living in a vehicle in Florida... I need air
Thank you for supporting Loves !! My sil and daughter work for corporate.. I love watching you!! ❤
During a storm you should always park near a building to protect yourself, or near some other RVs. Have lived in Fla most of my life. So glad I just found you. Blessings to you!!
hi rowan you're such a sweet heart keep up the great videos.
Yes first timer...LOL You are BRAVE!!! I did enjoy your video and I love your outlook on everything!!!
Hi! Welcome to the channel! 🤗
You are amazing, Rowan; such a breath of fresh air. Your smile lights up the world, and your chuckles warm the soul. You are a treasure of a person, and one of the most endearing content creators on UA-cam. Best and warmest of wishes always. ❤️👍❤️
I didn’t Know you but I actually enjoyed this time spent with you. For some reason it made me feel safe. I’m in my home, in bed with my old (11) cat. Our tummies are full and we are safe. Thank you very much.❤️
That’s a really smart way to spend the day, regroup and not get caught being on the highway in a terrible storm!!! 😊
You handled that scary storm like a champ! I know I would have been really nervous. Your personality is so sweet and serene, I just had to subscribe to support you and follow your travels.🍃💐🍃
@diane9247 great comment! I felt the same but also am inspired too. The idea of being safe and sheltered in our van while the weather shows us her wild side is exhilarating! In my previous life it was all about staying safe and watching out for my team now I just want to keep living and experience the outside🫶🏼
That storm looks great ! I love the wind, especially warm wind. Don't want it to be a hurricane, just a nice windy event. I know I'm wierd. I was in a storm as a kid that I could lean into the wind and not fall over. Awesome!
Thank you! Welcome to the channel! 🤗
I lived in a van for several years and you can usually get a day pass at a gym for less than the Loves shower fee. Plus you get full access to pool, sauna, gym, TV lounge, etc.
I did this too! Great place to hang out in the evening after work!
Planet Fitness
My hand turns green when I touch mushrooms So I can't consume it.
My a husband and I went to the local tornado shelter and it was locked. I was so upset. We drove to Walmart and sheltered till the storm had passed.
Be safe out there.🌷
I found this video to be very cosy with you in bed, with warm food while the storm is busy going on outside! lol Thank you for this awesome video 🥰🥰😊
Hi Rowan, This is my first time seeing your video. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. It sounds like you have had some ups and downs in your life, and are making great progress moving in a possitive direction. Prayers and possitive attitude that you can do anything. Just keep strong and enjoy the storms, they fascinate me.😊
Thank you! Welcome to the channel! 🤗
New sub here. That was scary. The other RV shows say face into the wind. Wirked for them.
Love you. I stumbled across your channel but ended up staying because your whole persona is calm and very soothing. Thank you so much!
Welcome to the channel! 🤗
My My!👩🦳👩🦳🤩😍😍 I think I am getting Emotional! How Stunning Are You!
Those storms can be scary. I am glad you stayed close to shelter just in case. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
I'm 70 and love watching how others enjoy a simple life. I really enjoy hanging out with you! ❤
Take care and God bless you!❤🙏💫
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful journey with us!💕
You're car is so cozy! What a beautiful space you have created. I love the seashell jar. You've inspired me to make stew today!
Thank you! I kept gathering shells and I finally figured out what to do with them lol for now. Enjoy your stew!
Just came across your video today. You seem so positive and upbeat. I have been in one tornado so I know it can be scary. One tip I can tell you if you are watching the tornado and it doesn't seem to be moving that means it is coming straight towards you. I learned this from the weather channel. Please stay safe out there.
Hi! Your Beef Stew looks delicious! Happy you're safe enjoyed your video ❤
Thanks for posting this video! I've always wondered about showering at Love's and riding out a storm in a car-living rig - God Bless!!!
What kind of vehicle are you living in?
She reiterated this in the video so no need to teach her about that.
The air turns green before a tornado hits.
Thank you for sharing your stories and God bless you and keep you safe 🙏
That looks like a really cozy setup! I am a field tech doing various kinds of tech repairs on the road, and I have to say that most Love's and TA (Travel Centers of America) have excellent showers, much like the one you showed. Some of them are just absolutely incredible, and I have to admit that after a particularly long day in the field, I have certainly gotten my 'washing up' part out of the way, and then just spent like 30 minutes just letting the hot water take my aches away. I've never had anyone mad at me about a time limit. Didn't even know there was one! :)
I take my camp gear with me and sometimes I'll stay overnights at a KOA for fun, but most of the time I just overnight in the truck at a Love's or something.
Good job on it all
We are all here for you, as you wait out the storm. (Prayers) btw you look so beautiful and refreshed after your shower 😊
Thank you! 🙏
My husband used to be a trucker and we constantly went OTR with him months at a time, me and the two kids.... i found ur video and found myself missing my truck home and the loves we constantly showered at and did laundry at 😭😭😭 uggg
First time viewer, but I recognized that you were in my town, Auburndale atLove’s. I’m glad you didn’t have to experience a really scary tornado warning. This was a relatively mild storm for us, but it could’ve been so much worse. Glad you rode out the storm in safety! I look firard to following your journey. Stay safe!
Stay safe good luck
Hi. I'm Debbie. We are moving to Davenport in March. Can you please tell me what the area is like?
Thank you! Welcome to the channel 🤗
Hi, I just subscribed to your channel. I am 78 years old and have wanted to live in my van since watching others my age getting out there and doing it. Look forward to seeing your adventures. God bless you and I pray you know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. He will protect you while you are on the road.❤❤❤
God bless! Welcome 🤗
That look good. I would cook that for myself. I love anything with vegetables
I don't know why but I love it when I watch youtubers who make delicious meals and then "share" a bite with us watchers. It's just delightful. I can't go anywhere at the moment in my travel trailer but spending time in it just in my driveway is such fun. I know I'm weird, but I cannot wait to get out on the road. Be safe!
Last scene with the candle so peaceful after the storm ❤
🙏💖
Nothing like a good old Florida storm, Ryan does excellent storm coverage.
I grew up around storms and tornados in the midwest. I have always LOVED storms, even though they are dangerous. I always feel safer during a storm for some reason. I've had to hide in basements, closets, and bathrooms, but there is something relieving to me about the storms.
I love your decor, it is so warm and inviting! The stew looked yummy.
You have everything so cozy. You seem to have everything organized and have room for all your things. God bless and protect you.
Looks like you have everything well organized. I’m almost 75 but would have loved doing this. Wish I had!
Hi Rowan, good to see you again! Sounds like a good and cozy day in the storm. Shower, laundry and stew! You are great at figuring out different dishes of food. Thanks for your inspiration. Stay safe! 💜
Thank you Cathy! 💖 It actually turned out to be a really nice day! Cozy and relaxing with just the right amount of excitement lol. I’m glad there were no tornadoes where I was!
I enjoyed your storm video! And I prayed for your safety during the storm and as you travel! God bless!
I’m happy to see that you are safe. I love your laugh. It’s very cheerful.

Always your videos are thrilling... I dont want to get disturbed by others while watching your video..... Your free style talking and narrating is very much liking.... From Bangalore, India
Just found your channel, love it. Just an observation…keep your doors locked all the time! Love your st up…you go girl.
Your stew looks amazing! I'm making that for sure! My heart breaks you're by yourself. Sending love!❤
Congratulations on 1 million views! This was my first video.
Thanks for the offer. It looks good.😊 You look very cozy, and thanks for inviting us over for supper. God bless and keep safe. That rain sounds inviting. You should have opened a tin of lentils, or veg and put init it would heighten the taste. P.S. I just LOVE the rain.
Your home is lovely with the decor, the lighting and plants and just everything! It's so pretty and clean looking I love the coziness there in the storm 🥰 I enjoy hearing wind and rain as long as I'm warm and dry inside, lol. Your attention to detail is amazing! I thought it couldn't get better in there but then I saw the French door on your window cover. Holy cow - $19+ for a shower! Yes, it would be worth it to me, too. Especially when I need to wash my hair. Giving you a Thumbs Up and a subscribe! ❤ 👍
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel 🤗

I love your video and your beautiful and I really enjoy your little laugh. That really makes you beautiful
I lived trucks top to trucks top till I got to where I am now, hitchiking having to sleep in the bushes under trees out in the open as long as I WS clean and didn't make a mess and spent my money there they showed respect and compassion to my humanity. They are the best
Oh my gosh! You so brave to be wading out the storm in your van/car. As for the many flashes of lightning and thunder I would be scared as I don't like the thunder and lightning but I admire your bravery. Thank God there were no tornadoes near where you were and you were safe. 🙏🏾
Thank you! 🙏
I just found your channel. Enjoyed it. You have a very sweet personality!
Glad your safe Rowan, your stew looked Delish! Safe travels always! 💟🌈
