I noticed your wiper blades were not working so well, and wanted to tell you, if you take a sponge with a scrubbie side and just a little water, it will remove any dirt and grime, and your blades will work more efficiently. I think those birds were teasing Ruby and wanted to be chased.😁I'm so glad someone gifted you some knives; after watching you struggle cutting veggies a while back. People can be so helpful sometimes. We had pizza at Malnati's in Chicago, and we had the deep dish. It's strange having the sauce on top of the cheese but was not disappointed! I live in Chicago my whole life Chicago has the best pizza ever there’s so many to choose from. Every Friday night is pizza night but living at home with my parents. My father ordered a pizza every night after dinner every night. Enjoy.

I was born and raised in Chicago. Still live in a suburb there. I never get tired of looking at the beautiful skyline. I used to love shopping downtown. People say the crime is very bad there but don’t really know.

My daughter visited Chicago with her partner and family and they met up with an aunt who lives in Chicago and has had a radio station for disabled people. She said that the pizza was amazing ❤
Hi Rowan if you and Ruby are staying more than a day you should google Long Grove and Geneva Il! There both outside Chicago but cute little towns to visit! There’s things to do around town but I know you have Ruby and not sure how long you’re staying! Just be safe out there and know what places and areas you are planning to visit! Enjoy!

@@jeaniecampbell4184 it is definitely a leap. I landed in a vehicle unintentionally and suffered tremendous shame until I discovered a YT channel called CheapRVLiving. Bob Wells featured many tips and tricks on ways to get by for those in my fairly dire circumstances. In addition to learning how to make it work in the vehicle I had at the time, a really old dodge Dakota, hearing Bob and the dwellers he featured lessened the humiliation I had, changed my view of my circumstances and helped me to find a way to smile, laugh and feel light again. Then I was hit head on by a guy on his phone and my truck home was totalled. I hit an even deeper rock bottom without a vehicle at all until the tow yard where my smashed Dakota went had an old chevy astro van for $500. That was my turning point into van life. I've worked on that rolling dumpster for the past 2 years, little by little. Still getting it mechanically sound, but buy the end of fall, I hope to be ready to venture out. Not too far from home base (my storage facility), but dipping my toes into short trips in familiar areas is going to be so fun, peaceful, freeing and fulfilling. I have medical challenges that mean I don't have years and years to look forward to, so I gotta do it when I still can. The golden girls I've seen doing it on UA-cam are such a kick to watch! They are all so proud of their decor, cooking equipment, sleeping set-up and the overall camping experience. Their joy is my inspiration. If you have the physical ability and a vehicle to explore with, you have my encouragement to give it a go!

I knew exactly where you were by the monuments and the dog park... I just spent last weekend right there for my son's triathlon. Please let everyone know how pretty the city is, and that it is mostly safe. It has gotten a bad reputation, mostly due to a few bad neighborhoods, that you would never spend time in if you were just touring.

It is a beautiful city but as you see we do not have the mountains and extreme nature as some other parts of the country! There is Navy Pier and the zoos to see but with Ruby you might want to visit outdoor locations! If you like Cheesecake there’s Eli’s on the North side and Johnnie’s has great Italian beef in Elmwood Park on the west side! It is forecasted to rain tonight Friday! Have been enjoying your channel and love this video. Just wanted to comment that Chicago deep dish is sort of a working person's pizza, which is why it's so hearty. (A friend of mine jokingly refers to it as a pizza casserole.) I personally prefer thin crust and traditional Italian options, but I also appreciate all the variations that are out there.

The pizza is referred to as deep dish pizza and is fantastic. I've never had a fried calzone! The poodle with the rainbow hair was the best!! I hope you were able to try an Italian beef sandwich. Oh, the oil and Italian seasoning was to dip the focaccia bread in, very yummy! I hope weather improved!! Ruby sure seemed to enjoy Chicago! The Northshore beach is awesome!!

I knew exactly where you were by the monuments and the dog park... I just spent last weekend right there for my son's triathlon. Please let everyone know how pretty the city is, and that it is mostly safe. It has gotten a bad reputation, mostly due to a few bad neighborhoods, that you would never spend time in if you were just touring.
Hi Rowan and Ruby! Welcome to Chicago my hometown! Enjoy your visit but do be careful as downtown does have robberies and other types of crime! It is a beautiful city but as you see we do not have the mountains and extreme nature as some other parts of the country! There is Navy Pier and the zoos to see but with Ruby you might want to visit outdoor locations! If you like Cheesecake there’s Eli’s on the North side and Johnnie’s has great Italian beef in Elmwood Park on the west side! It is forecasted to rain tonight Friday! So glad you’re in Chicago and hope you enjoy the food and sights and your stay! 👍🤗💕🐾🦮

Ruby's dramatic personality and exuberant energy give me so much joy to watch. I regularly watch several dog channel and Rubs has got to have the most adorable dog park behavior! Many of us are in circumstances where we can't have a pet and miss that experience. Thank you for sharing her! Gino’s East for Pizza! I love their pizza. Yes, we love our deep dish it always has the sauce on the top, you can get other kinds but we are famous for our “fatten you up” deep dish! Perfect for sharing

Ruby is so sweet. I am so glad you picked her and have her to travel with...I'm from St. Louis..please watch where you stay and camp in Chicago. Personally, I'd only camp my van outside of Chicago in the suburban area or smaller town. It IS SAFER! If your not sure ask local law enforcement...they will guide you where to stay. 😊 Just a concerned person 😊 looking out for you and Ruby.

Have been enjoying your channel and love this video. Just wanted to comment that Chicago deep dish is sort of a working person's pizza, which is why it's so hearty. (A friend of mine jokingly refers to it as a pizza casserole.) I personally prefer thin crust and traditional Italian options, but I also appreciate all the variations that are out there.

Outside of Chicago in Aurora between 25 and 31 on the Fox River there was a free dog walk island Fenced in, nice long place for them to run.

The pizza is referred to as deep dish pizza and is fantastic. I've never had a fried calzone! The poodle with the rainbow hair was the best!! I hope you were able to try an Italian beef sandwich. Oh, the oil and Italian seasoning was to dip the focaccia bread in, very yummy! I hope weather improved!! Ruby sure seemed to enjoy Chicago! The Northshore beach is awesome!!

Even thin crust in Chicago is different from NY pizza. We cut it into squares and it is still slightly thicker, loaded with toppings and way cheesier.
