Beautiful Black Acid Stained Floors. Applying Wax to our Concrete Floors.

- This is the last step for our Acid Stained floors.
We used Eagle Sealant products from beginning to end. Onyx color Acid Stain, Armor Seal sealant, and Eagle Concrete Polish.
4 coats of polish. We couldn’t be happier with the way it came out.

Sue, this morning, i was sitting on the porch of the house we live in, wondering how my legs got so sunburned that they were peeling. Then I realized it was wax.
Be very proud of all of those hours of work you spent on that floor ! The results look outstanding .

Beautiful!!! Maybe when you're done, and after you've pulled up the ram board, the only thing you might need to do is run a large buffer with a wool pad over it. That's the way we did it in the service. You probably remember those floors looking like glass.
I am sure there will be some places where we have to clean and buff and re-wax. No matter what, we will be moving forward.

I was hoping to see the application of the acid like it says in the title. It should just say waxing concrete floor.

It is. We will clean it up and buff it after the drywall.

Looks fantastic but of you are hiring a contractor for drywall. Well, if it was me, I'd turn the job down.
Contractor will never see the floors we are covering with Ramboard

why would you coat the floors before drywall and painting? seems like a waste since dust dirt and pain can scratch a floor
the process is so messy that I think it woulid likely destroy the drywall and paint, and any trim . You would have to tape and plastic a couple feet. The stains would be terrible.
and this is Acid stain, not a surface stain. The biggest issue is adhesive.
i do alot of construction and I think your wrong but I hope it worked for you. it can be more messy to clean paint and spackle dust off the floors even if they are covered. drywall is just paint and spackle concrete is much harder to clean and repair

Jefanna says it is Gloss. She just put a fresh coat down in the living room, last week.

Curious to know if the polish would help the floor from being scratched, compared to only using the armor seal?
It does a pretty good job of keeping it looking good
The polish acts as a sacrificial finish that takes the brunt of the wear. It actually lasts a long time.

Why didn’t you leave the floor for the last ?
Don’t want to sling all that stuff around on the drywall. Wanted to get the finish under all the door ways. It was a hellish mess.
What color stain did you use?
