      no reason to change, but as I dont have any of them yet, I tend to FSLabs with the MEL list and the "living" aircraaft with wear and tear

      @ you misunderstood me. I love the FSLabs as wear and tear is simulated with the MEL list and a comprehensive documentation as what to do when something is INOP. That isnt in the Fenix.

    As a real airline pilot, the fslabs wins on system behaviours like wing fuel temperatures is different depending on the where the sun is and the way cabin heats up and all ice buildup behaviours and brake wear. But the fenix model and sound are just incredible and yes with also great systems behaviour. Tbh if fslabs could better there model and sounds that would be perfect. Also fslabs has a much better flar feels like a heavy aircraft. But i do wish fenix had persistent wear and tear/ levels and realistic snow and ice. That would be the aircraft i would fly all the time.

      The Fenix devs plan on implementing all of that. They're a small team so it will take a year or three, but it's coming.

      Fenix have more then that. Engines (blade) simulation freezing when you wait long in taxi, engines failure start up with hot temp , engines stall with high crosswind on ground and more just not everyone knows that

    Not even trying to be biased but hearing the Fenix sounds just feels like home at this point. I do like the "clickiness" of the FSLabs buttons in the flight deck and the "dark mode" on the radio panel switches though!.

      @@BKGBlueface Hold on, have you been yourself in an A321 cockpit while powering up? I'm not talking about videos here, but real life.
      I've been powering up A320 family aircrafts thousands of times, starting engines, taxiing and powering down. Tell us about your real life experience on A320 family airliners? Thank you.

    • @BKGBlueface
      @BKGBlueface 2 години тому

      I was referring to videos of A320s powering up for comparison. I’m not sure what level of experience you have, but I understand where you’re going with this question. However, it doesn’t take a genius to recognize the difference-that’s why I referenced those videos for you. I was a flight attendant for a major carrier, so I’m very familiar with how an A320 sounds during startup. Now, my turn: I’d like you to provide just one video link showing an A320 producing that sound during an initial startup from a cold and dark state, since that’s all we can reference at this point.

    • @stabilo3170
      @stabilo3170 2 години тому

      @@BKGBlueface I understand that your real life experience concerning powering up an aircraft and all associated sounds are based on your flight attendant career.
      But, you never did it yourself, never start engines and never taxi the aircraft and so on.
      I've never be a flight attendant, I don't know how to deal with passengers and I know it can be very complicated for the cabin crew who have to use a lot of diplomatie to calm down some tricky situations.
      In substance, let's everyone talk about their own job.

    Oh, wow. The Flightsimlabs Performance calculation app is super realistic. It's obviously very inspired by Lufthansa's LAPA, it's basically the exact same UI (the actual LAPA doesn't have a dark mode, though). That's exactly how it's done in real life at Lufthansa.

    I think where the fslabs excells is in the system depth. All those little details of the aoc menu for instance, they depict the real life. Fenix does that to some extend but the fslabs takes it to another level. Also with the MEL items. You dont have that in the fenix but this is what pilots deal with every day. Almost every aircraft out there as at least one mel item almost every day.

    The only reason I prefer the FSLabs over the Fenix is the flare behavior. My landings in the FSLabs are way more consistent and smother because the aircraft feels good and believable during flare. The Fenix drives me crazy in this regard.

    I love the Fenix but, for me, FSLAbs is better in some points
    I prefer FSLabs cockpit sounds
    FSLabs EFB is better, MEL is very important
    GSX integration is better with FSLabs, but Fenix could do it the same way
    I’m not sure, but flight model feels better with FSLabs. When landing I feel the airplane heavier with FSLabs and this usually means more realism
    FSLabs is tricky to work. Thrust Levers calibration should be easier, callouts may not work. Cabin… is inaccessible
    PFD and ND need better fonts in FSLabs. To be honest, I got a problem in my eyes because displays are very hard to see in a 4K 32 inches screen

    Audio wise, fenix wins by far. The FSLabs version sounded synthetic.
    Edit: Not so say the FSLabs isn't phenomenal., congrats to all the devs who put in hard work. Just, when comparing two aircraft that are so advanced you kind of have to nit pick, even though on their own they'd both be very enjoyable to fly. Also, whoever the moron is at FSLabs that thought malware was the answer, they tarnished the rep of FSLabs and hurt all the hard working devs.

  • @stabilo3170
    @stabilo3170 2 години тому

    First of all I must say that I am an avionics technician and I have worked on the A320 family for several decades. So my judgment is very marked in relation to reality.
    The sound of the ventilation is more realistic at FSL, at Fenix we have the impression of a turbine revving up.
    The exterior and interior graphics are better at Fenix.
    The sound of engine starts is not realistic for both, too linear and absence of the characteristic "whlouff" at fuel ignition.
    The sound of the engines when taxiing is better at Fenix.
    Generally speaking, I don't understand why some "sound phases" are not better modeled, such as engine start and engine cut off.
    Is it related to the simulation platform itself or a lack of realistic digital recordings? Can't believe that.
    And of course I'm sensible to the depth of systems simulation and flight model which are much better in the FSL product not mentioning the techlog HIL (hold item list) simulated which add a lot of realism in the every day operations.

    wow, def the fenix as far as looks go and the sounds.. i do agree with some of the handling feeling off with the fenix tho, esp in the flair.. and ya no shit its not a cessna 🤣. I've tried everything to make consistent good landings in the fenix and its just never consistent.. except in the that fact that it might feel a bit arcady in that maybe you have to pull back 'just enough' at JUST the right moment.. now if anything below 300fpm is good than i'm solid! But its all over the place.. 20, 280, 100, 200.. float and drive it back onto the runway.. bounce and go around.. once I thought I had a pretty good landing, sub 250 fpm, wanted to hold the nose up a bit and smoothly drop the front gear down.. it kept this ridiculous nose high attitude well beyond what should have been possible given my speed.. like 90 down to 80, okay why isn't my nose coming down at all.. 70..60.. knots before I had to full force forward on the stick to get the nose back down. I would have bought the FSLabs 321 if they had done it for FS24, just to check it out and have it as an option. But I'm not going to spend that kind of money for a sim that I already don't use anymore and is mostly going to be irrelevant within another year. Maybe when they do I'll check it out, but I think they would be better off getting a NEO ready for FS24 since everyone seems to be dragging their feet on that lol
