Guarantee he managed to make 10x the cost of this vision pro off the video too. 5M views on a video with clean language pays insanely well. If he monetized it
For such innovation of the internals, the outer display is shocking how easy it scratches & more so the cost to replace it. Surely it would be easier to make a detachable/customizable one if it's that easy to wreck it.
That would be too consumer friendly , then Apple wouldn't make as much money. You don't think they made a 3 Trillion $ company without being a bit evil do you?
Makes you wonder if Apple should've skipped the outside display altogether. The answer is an objective yes by the way. There is no reason whatsoever for that exist and they'd do much better without it. An outside display on a vr headset you cannot see is one of the dumbest additions to a vr headset I've ever seen, it eats up battery, adds weight, bulk and cost and is very easy to damage.
If you watch a drop test you will know exactly why the plastic is on the outside. Basically it keeps glass from going everywhere which is a better tradeoff than some scratches.
Hahahaha the love of a thousand grandma. You gotta give the man monumental credit for the smart analogies he builds and the vocab he uses in his videos’s script. It wouldn’t be the same without that. 11:27 Apple Vision Pro already lets you use your wrist to control it! Pointer Control lets you use your head, wrist, or your index finger kinda like a Meta Quest controller. There are also ways to use it without hands at all, Dwell Control lets you click a button when you stare at it for a set amount of time.
@@jaimeduncan6167 wouldn't blame him haha. Though something about clicking buttons with finger guns sounds so fun people might prefer that over eye tracking.
I mean still though you have to use your eyes with two hands where ase the Quest 3 you just need a hand. So it's not that assable when it could have been all head and eyes like webVR visdeos are.

Hey Jerry, so I’ve been doing this thing where I watch videos of people who own the Apple Vision Pro or review mainstream gadgets like it because I’m really wanting to own one myself. When I tried on the Vision Pro at my first Apple Vision Pro Walkthrough, it sold me. I have a powerful gaming PC that I’m sure you’d have much better use for, especially if you’re a gamer. I know you’re a gamer, but unfortunately, I don’t use my gaming PC much at all. I went to a Reddit forum where people sell PC parts, PCs, and camera equipment to see if anyone would be interested in buying my PC. Even if you know someone who’s in the market for a PC, it would mean the world to me if you replied to my message. I hope to use the money I make from selling this PC to buy a Vision Pro so I can watch movies, concerts, and my favorite TV shows, and experience Apple spatial computing 😊.
Love the Ready Player One reference at the end lol. It’s weird and a little scary how much closer we are to a reality like the one in the book/movie with the release of the Vision Pro. Still not close at all, but it’s a start.
@@hopsysit is the most advanced headset. It’s also the first to use AR, has the most computing power, the quality is incredibly high and has the most ground breaking controls
Ready player one isn't ar, it's vr. The biggest current issues for vr are cost, locomotion and haptic feedback, when it comes to a ready player one level of immersion. Look up the bigscreen beyond. It's a lot smaller than a ready player one headset and it's not even a headset by a big company. If they had the resources like Apple, the technology would be there to make the visual quality near perfect and increase the fov too. Fov is determined by a mix of display size, lens form and distance to the eyes. So while theoretically it could be possible at the same size format, it probably isn't possible with current technology to achieve full human fov. There areq other possible lenses that would fix this problem, but even pancake lenses are so ineffective when it comes to brightness, that the apple vision pro has 5000 lumen micro oled displays to achieve enough brightness. The bigscreen beyond has similar displays and lenses, but not the same brightness, which is quite noticeable. That's pretty much the only way in which the apple vision pro is more like ready player one...at 3x the cost

For such innovation of the internals, the outer display is shocking how easy it scratches & more so the cost to replace it. Surely it would be easier to make a detachable/customizable one if it's that easy to wreck it.
It's not really, it needs to be light, not having the eye bullshit at all would've been better
That would be too consumer friendly , then Apple wouldn't make as much money. You don't think they made a 3 Trillion $ company without being a bit evil do you?
HAH, and let them pass up the opportunity to charge you $200?? As if. Cool tech but I wish someone else did it
Makes you wonder if Apple should've skipped the outside display altogether.

Can you package this back up and send it in for Apple Repair to see how well they do?

The Vision Pro didn't bring us closer, are you not aware of any other VR headsets on the market?
@@hopsysit is the most advanced headset. It’s also the first to use AR, has the most computing power, the quality is incredibly high and has the most ground breaking controls
@@hormigatomic1 It is the most advanced but definitely not the first to use AR lol
I like seeing you break down electronics but I love your soothing voice, that’s the best part of the video.
