In fairness, there were some pretty legit bands signed to those labels during that decade.

Finn, I'm sure like any self respecting guy you both like good suggestions but also hate being told what to do. But I want to suggest "good streamers/UA-camrs for metalheads and people interested in the making of guitar music" as a video/stream
Guys it’s confirmed: Linkin Park is the only band to ever use clean singing
Theyre not but a lot of mid ass metalcore bands sure sound almost exactly like the hooks they wrote post-Minutes to Midnight

Great idea XD For that to work the drummer would have to not actually hit the drums, otherwise the drums would ofc drown out every other sound. But in order to keep up appearance we need to hire some extra personnel that hides in the dark behind the shells and pull thin strings attached to the cymbals, so they still move when the drummer "hits" them XD

I would have also added "shitty headbanging" and "person with mascara tied to a chair" but you've opened the door to "long boring intro" I am suddenly aware of every metalcore band having one these days now. Ya learn something new every day

S tier content! hardcore band bingo- fitted hats, gym shorts, sXe tattoos, cameos from other bands, backpacks, nike dunks, band hoodies, basketball jerseys, stage dives, "moshers", showing the line before the show, the video being dedicated to some three letter named crew, a scene inn some run down part of the city, a scene in some outdoor basketball court, someone lifting weights, someone hitting a heavybag, bass player jumping while playing, singer wrapping mic cord around fist.

Agreed, I didn't like them at first but Heavener absolutely changed my mind. Very good album with a few wow moments. Some involuntary stank face, a tear or two, everything in between. Can't praise it enough

I just don't understand the whole Architects riff thing. It seems like anytime a guitar is used the riff is apparently copying Architects. What defines an Architects riff, because none of these songs sound like Architects to me?

By Architects riff he actually means Doomsday riff.

Ngl I am getting tired of this kinda gatekeeping, yes a lot of bands copy others but then what happens is the ones that don’t get lumped in with those bands cause everyone goes extreme with this. Any Djent riff is now a Knockoff Architects, Clean vocals in a chorus is now a knockoff LP and any experimentation with pop and electronics is a BMTH knockoff. Like when there’s an exact copy of the doomsday rift okay fine but people have gone too far with it.

Nah, he gets it right compared to most of the heavy music community.
Keep mind most kids would still rather listen to trap metal and alternative hip hop then metalcore or black metal, but a lot of his audience clearly hates that stuff.

Invent animate > 95% of Metalcore including architects. Also I remember a couple months ago Finn was asking why he’s not as well liked as ppl like Nik Nocturnal or Rick Beato, vids like this is why. I’m still subbed to him and watch him but I’m just saying this is why ppl sometimes dislike him

Definitely on a revision should maybe swap out seizure warning with "generic call-out lyric" like "voices in my head" or something to that effect.

I remember doing "Location" for a music video and put a pop punk band ripping off Four Year Strong in a graffitied warehouse in Kent owned by Puget Sound Energy. They just didn't care we were there, the machinery exploded years ago and the place was covered in ash. The producer was kinda taken aback but used it to it's full potential
