Great video! Been racing with these guys for over a year and a half and its always fun and respectable driving with some great laughs as well! Highly recommend AMS2 + CASS if you're looking for some variety in your sim racing. Great combo!
Awesome video. I race with this group and can vouch for it being a good time. I learned a lot racing with them and my experience has been very positive. Specially when it comes to racing hard but also being respectful "leaving the space" lol. You wont be disappointed you joined this group for some racing. Good bunch of people.
this was super helpful. Ive had a sim setup for a year but only did rally and drift so im very novice when it comes to things like tire temps and most of what was talked about in this video. Hoping for more helpful video like this soon?
While I like the latest updates by and large, I find that the vintage F1 cars (which I drive almost exclusively) have lost quite a lot of mechanical grip, becoming almost Grand Prix Legends-like... very slippy. I am still adapting, so will see if the feeling persists. Thanks for the video.
Great video thanks! Do you know the optimal tyre pressures for the different classes? Seems like there is no visual feature showing how inflated the tyres are instead it seems i need to have a look at the temperature distribution
Yeah no other way to tell other than looking at IMO temperatures like it's shown in the video. Default it's normally pretty spot on, if anything more tires want slightly more pressure. What I forgot to mention in the video is that if your pressures are too low, it'll cause more rolling resistance and lose you some time.
Optimal pressure will sit within a window for each type of tyre, and IMO temps are the best way of determining if you’re in that window. It’s not like ACC where you’re always aiming for a defined pressure point. If it’s in the window based on IMO then much like real life it can be tweaked to affect handling, as the tyre is in effect an undamped spring and contributes to ride and roll rates.
Informative video. Thank you Enjoy with ams2. But, what do you think of old-school Porsche RSR? Should it be so, that even on max steer angle, on full throttle, cold tyres , the rear engine car like this just impossible to oversteer ?
Super helpful for me! Thanks a ton! 💪 I hope I can make use of the knowledge gained next Wednesday for a 1.5 hours race at Spielberg.🤞id like to see more of those videos in the future, leave a sub and will wach this one again now! 😊👋
Hi. You need to map your cycle hud buttons in the menu. And you’ll have the telemetry hud available that displays this. It’s available in the game and not a plug in.
Hopefully I won't get in trouble for leaking this changelog from the upcoming 1.5 beta, but there's a much desired new feature: "Rubber now loses grip with water saturation (racing line should be avoided in wet weather as a result)"
When track rubber is mixed with water, the oil separates and gets really slippery. The difference in grip is very noticeable. I don't think this feature will be ready for v1.5, though. It will probably be experimental and/or poorly implemented for the next few releases.

Please do more on set ups, an explanation of what each thing does would be great. thanks for the vid!

Thanks for all of this! I have been racing on AMS2 for a year and I didn't know about a lot of this. Thank you!!!
We’ll done!
Great tips and well explained!!!
Great Video! Appreciated it
Great info!
I'm dropping both a like and a subscribe for this video. Thank you so much!

We think the setups have gotten 'safer' in some open wheel cars. Definitely look into some setup changes like camber and ARB's.
@@CanAmSimSport Will do. Thank you for responding.

Very informative, interesting and usfull, bravo!
So we have access to v 1.5 now?
It's in beta currently. Due soon though.
@@CanAmSimSport thanks.
i can't find where you get this hud with IMO tyres temps (inner middle outer tyre temp) it is nowhere in telemetry HUD
what plug in this is ?

Could you explain why that is? Is there more water on the racing line?

Oh fuck yessss. It's opposite day now
Or you could just switch the tyre wear off😁
