I am not a gamer ... but using that PC for office tasks, video streaming, photo editing. I can say, it is not as loud as my air cleaner at lowest rpm setting - even at 70° CPU temperature. When stressing my Lenovo laptop, it turns on its fan also ... no noticable difference to the UM773. Also my desktop PC which got replaced by the UM773 was noisier.
thank you so much for making this video! it definitely helps me a lot. I also wanted to ask if you have experienced any throttling issues while playing games so far because apparently some people on reddit have problems with overheating RAM in this unit which results in massive slowdowns and fps drops as the integrated gpu highly depends on the RAM.
No problem! In terms of throttling, hard to say because I didn't play much beyond the benchmarking I did. I think it would depend on the games you were looking to play. For stuff with low system requirements like e-sports titles or emulation you'll likely see no throttling, but for games that the UM773 would struggle to maintain 60fps with even without the thermal limitations, you would likely see some dips after about 10-15 minutes when the system heats up
@@SmallBoxCentral i guess i would mostly play e-sports titles or older games on it and apart from that also use it for normal internet / office stuff so i hope i wont experience any issues with throttling.
I could not find any BIOS updates for it when I was doing the review. These are the only downloads they provide for it on their website: www.minisforum.com/front/support/68/UM773

very smart of you to include the noise sound test. That s how I found your interesting channel
I just bought the PC and can say that it is loud and hot at 54 W.
Thank you buddy, I'm looking for this video.
Thanks for this but not sure why you would want to record at 5cm? Wouldn’t 1m be more useful measurement?
