There was nothing like getting off work from my restaurant gig and watching Tom masterfully interview someone. The guest never mattered. He always made it interesting and kept the viewer engaged. The GOAT.

Jerry was wonderful on Seinfeld and his chemistry was great with Jason Alexander. George was the funniest character on the show and Jerry played off him superbly. And Jerry’s reaction to all the characters was Golden.
@@paradiddle5150 You just do not get George sadly and you lack a sense of intelligent humor. He was hysterical. He was the show and he was Larry David. Kramer acted like an idiot.
I feel so old watching this 😂. I was lucky enough to see him when he toured Australia a few years ago . It was GOLD jerry GOLD. I've been a fan since I couldn't truly enjoy or relate to most the material. The cast was Magical even the guests.
Jerry punched me in the face😂...TRUE.... accidentally @Caesars Palace Colosseum when I opened the curtains for his performance... I treasure that ...who else can say that ?lol👍..oh yeah..btw I sued him for 100 Million $.🤑
Wish Tom had been blessed with better health for a longer period of time, he was such a unique gem and gave so many of us an intellectualism in journalism that was largely absent at the time.
The best part of this show was that there was no audience. It was so different for the time and intimate. I couldn’t get enough of it. I was a teenager in the 90s and I stayed up almost every night to watch this show.
The Seinfeld show is definitely The Honeymooners or the All in the family of its time. Which is numero uno number one. No other show at that time or in that decade could even compare to Seinfeld. Those four people were amazing and together they were unstoppable. 😎😎😎😎
Poor Jerry. No one told him about the toothpaste residue... Anyway, I missed what Jerry said on Cathy's "Tom & Jerry" bit. It sounds like, "I love your locks"? Anyone catch that? Tom really laughed and then Jerry said, moving on...around 17:30
17:37 Could anyone who understands explain the "Lox/Locks" joke Jerry refers to? Tom and Jerry yada yada but what was the "L" bit? Further, if anyone knows what The Kids In The Hall vaudville bit was talking about with the "saved you from those seals" was referring to that would also help. ua-cam.com/video/Wdx0ru1jE04/v-deo.html
I miss the way interviews were done. I can’t stand the way Modern Day Society does it. If I’m being interviewed, I want the camera directly pointed at me when I’m talking vice versa.
I'm not crazy or anything. Jerry, I don't know sometimes. Wait, was she quoting Kramer talking to Fred Savage, or did Jerry use her saying "I'm not crazy" as inspiration for the show?
The Jerry of yesterday is better than the TM Jerry of today. He traded comedy for meditation, and that wreaks of new age-y cringe. Not a fan of that. Hard pass.
jerry was the least funny of the cast and proved it after the show ended and he did an HBO special where he died. He thinks he is funny and due to the stupidity of the masses he became rich
I have noticed that great stand-up comedians tend to make bad sit-coms, and bad stand-ups make good sit-coms. Both Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are genius at making sit-coms but I don't think they are the least bit funny doing stand-up.
He's not hilarious or anything but a solid show business guy. Was well oiled and polished enough to be able easy on most general audiences. Although nowadays he seems to be quite out of touch.

Tom is amazing. Thanks for bringing this interview back to life.
Your welcome & my pleasure. Thanks for watching…

Seeing and hearing TS warms my heart! I really miss him...
One of the best Seinfeld interviews I’ve seen.
Tom Snyder brings out so much goodness in everyone! Such a great guy, RIP Tom!
He had such a good show. I liked him too.
Very true. Very congenial man.
Yeah, I definitely miss the Tom Snyder show❤
Im surprised at Jerrys humble beginnings, also how charming and unpretentious he is here. The early Jerry was gold man. What a great show.
@DC PARODIES he’s just a little grumpy now
I think at least part of the “grumpy” is put on because he knows it’s funnier….
HA!! You should meet him in person!!!!
@@robertedson2374 meaning you did and he was grumpy? Was it circumstantial ie his being interrupted or similar?

Wow Tom was spot on …it’s been 30 years and Seinfeld is and has been the standard
I remember these interviews and it brings back really vivid memories. The 90's were so interesting
best interview i've seen with Jerry
Agree and I think he respected Tom Snyder.
Tom was amazing! Always a Great Interviewer!
Anyone who mattered knew that Tom Snyder was the man that you wanted his respect. The last true Broadcast legendary crossover. The King Maker.
Perfectly said. Tom was special.
A rare gem of late night. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching. Tom Snyder was a class act.
Dude was right about the bigger window in season 1. It was like a huge sun light or something
2:57 - Never really thought of the Jean Shepherd connection, but it makes so much sense.
How could anyone not love Jerry and Tom
I believe “Seinfeld” has many comedy gems however, the lawyer character and his interaction with Kramer is laugh out loud comedy heaven.
Reminds me of Dan Aykroyd. And one of the best Seinfeld interviews.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching…
Dan Ackroyd Best role in trading places , so funny
Tom Snyder was at the top of the line of talk show host. Honestly, not many could compare to him.
Jerry was wonderful on Seinfeld and his chemistry was great with Jason Alexander. George was the funniest character on the show and Jerry played off him superbly. And Jerry’s reaction to all the characters was Golden.
George was annoying imo, and Kramer was the funniest. That's just my opinion, and I'd put Jerry right behind Michael Richards

9:53 stephanie sounds like jerry's date who said "i can't be with someone if i don't respect what they do." jerry's like, "but you're a cashier".
Not that there's anything wrong with that
Great interview. Thanks for uploading
Tom Snyder was right twenty years from now Seinfeld will be considered one of the great shows on television
Right up there with I Love Lucy. I can't stand _I Love Lucy,_ but Seinfeld is great.
A year after this seinfeld did an episode about the twirling umbrella lol

Amazing interview
How good was Tom? He was so great with one on one interviews.
One of the best!
He was an outstanding late night personality. I'd put him up there with Carson and Letterman.
The best part of this show was that there was no audience. It was so different for the time and intimate. I couldn’t get enough of it. I was a teenager in the 90s and I stayed up almost every night to watch this show.
At first I was irritated by him talking over Jerry but realized I like it better that way. It’s more natural like a normal conversation.
"I still have the first $20 bill I ever made!"
"Yeah, people say that about you..."
In junior high I LOVED getting up after everyone was asleep and watching Tom Snyder and his interviews.

Golden moment. Imagine receiving that much praise for your efforts. Everyone in your life deserves a "Jerry" moment. Get to work. xox.
Two greats here.
I’m jealous that he got to see Kaufman in person.
Jerry comes on to listen to Tom. But seriously Jerry was poised and funny and Tom was respectful which redeems him
Yayyyy..I LOVE THE TOM AND JERRY SHOW 😁
Funny how they were talking about when to step away. Then a year later or less the cast decided "ok, one more year".
Tom Snyder understands.

Good question. No idea. I presume it's a Tom and Jerry reference?
Tom repeats it at 19. It's definitely "I love your locks." Maybe a famous Cathy in the mid-90s who had pronounced locks?
I love your "lox" because Cathy was from Nova Scotia.
