Jeff Buckley was a talent gone way too soon but the music and life he did give the world will never be forgotten. What a gem
Loooove JB! Apart from his heavenly vocals he was a terrific songwriter and extremely skilled guitarist! His chords and choice of notes were out of this world! Thank you for the video 🙂
Couldn't agree more!
Always makes me so happy seeing Jeff Buckley getting the recognition he deserves.
After hearing tracks from 'Grace' and being blown AWAY by it in 1994, it took me two years to realise Jeff was not just the most incredibly gifted singer, he was also the bloody main guitarist!!! WHAT?!!
Yea incredible talent!
The crazy thing is that the playing on that album is only one style he even played.
He could play SRV/Hendrix type of blues stuff, and had a long list of Led Zeppelin songs he could do.
I was friends with someone who got to see Buckley playing nearly every week, for months at a time in the 90’s. A lot of shows at the Sin-E club, mainly by himself, but with a band as well.
I think he developed a really cool way of playing live, that got very heavy, yet with clean tones, and very clean playing, even at the most distorted.
He finally had a spotlight, snd folks who were really wanting to capture “his” sound. I think he could’ve used someone to reign him in, or just decide on how he was going to do certain songs, that were holding up those sessions. He was making so much music in such a small span of time in the last couple years of his life.
Jeff’s guitar chops deserve real attention like this. Thank you.
The Grace album is an amazing showcase of rhythm guitar. Would love some lessons of some of those songs. Love your work mate
Coming soon mate 🙂
@@LetsPlayAll YES PLEASE!! - Great sounding pedal!
@@LetsPlayAll I will drag out my Mesa Trem-O-Verb combo and 90's Tele & see what I can accomplish now that I can see what you're playing.
Man do I love that So Real riff…great video as well.
Cheers mate! Vote coming in October for this, i'll add So Real to it!
@@LetsPlayAll I also love Forget Her (bonus track on the legacy edition). That would also be great in the vote. Although so many gooood songs.
What a lovely coincidence, I've had Live At Sin-e on repeat for a week or two now. He did so much with just a borrowed Tele, an amp and a bit of reverb.
and that is literally all i used here :-) Although he had a bucket of talent to boot 😊
@@LetsPlayAll he was also young, slim, cool looking and had a full head of hair. Me? I just have the Tele.
@@atomnetton 😂
Gorgeous tone and a great lesson for a legendary artist!
Thanks mate!
This is so lovely, you really sold the pedal well since I’m a huge JB fan. The So Real setting almost sounds exactly like his live performance in Germany !
Thanks mate, really appreciate that!
You're the real deal my man. Like listening to outtakes from the recording sessions
Thanks mate!
Great stuff. Jeffs guitar and songwriting skills were gorgeous.
Cheers and agreed! 👍
Over 4 thousand views and only 240 thumbs up?! Criminal! A complete demo of a pedals capabilities with some sweet playing. Love it! 👌🏼
Thanks Neil! 🤘😊
Man, you killed me with this video.. absolutely gorgeous stuff, playing and everything... That reverb pedal with our lovely Jeff Buckley songs its unbelievably and immediate awesomeness.. you don't need the Alesis Quadraverb to get there ;)
Keep the fantastic work.. greetings from Portugal :)
Ah thanks so much man, really pleased you enjoyed the vid! 😀🤘
Brilliant video! Your videos have really helped me develop as a guitarist so thank you for that and I hope your channel continues to get the spotlight it deserves. You need to get some R.E.M. up on the channel!! 😆
Thanks mate, good shout will do!
Such an underrated guitarist. I think if he had lived longer we'd think of him as being the equal of players like Johnny Marr and Peter Buck.
Such an underrated musician jeff was. Great powerfull chords
Amo este canal, no hay contenido que no incluya la música que marcó mi vida. Genio. Gracias.
gorgeous job buddy!! I'm a huge fan of him and fortunately I can play many songs!! he was unique !!
A new album from Suede, went to the Lemonheads last weekend and now note perfect Jeff riffs. Ooh the 90's. Lovely playing!
amazing!
Great video and lovely reverb sounds! Jeff's magnificent 'Grace' album was the reason I've decided to start playing guitar..:)
thanks mate!
Yeah yeah yeah, reverb schmeverb (seriously, it’s really good) but thanks so much for those JB chords! I already knew a few songs, but you’ve definitely filled in a few gaps 👍🤘
Jeff and Gary used some very Jazzy chords/Progressions. Grace is a legendary album. His death was a Huge loss to music. Dream Brother is a favorite of mine.
Great content as always. 🎸🤟
thanks mate, yea Grace is just a perfect album for sure
You play them very nicely!
Thanks so much!
Nailed the sound and great playing as well!
Thanks!
This is amazing. Great job!
Thanks so much David!
i needed this holy
Okay okay… you have convinced me!
haha 😂🤘
Funny I just saw a Tom Buckovac video the other day where an Alesis quadraverb like Jeff used for verb (at least live) was featured and I had and loved mine in the late 90’s/early 2000’s and started thinking of getting another. This thing sounds great though and fits on a pedalboard which is nice….
Oo nice, love Tom's work! Yea this is a lovely pedal, and not much twiddling required to get consistently great tones :-)
Beautiful, ooooof.
Nice one bro
Didn't like the shimmer on Grace or Lilac Wine, but it sounded so cool for Dream Brother! The rest were perfect.
Hmmm I usually play the into to Hallelujah finger-style. I feel like that's how he would've done it. But this tone is awesome.
These tones are on point.
Thanks man!
Pedal is cool, but I’m here for the riffs.
Me too!
Love Jeff Buckley. Really need to invest in a decent reverb!
Decent plate reverb will get you there tbh! Shimmer reverb is tricky to do well, and this pedal does it really well and i'm a big fan of that. My advice would be to try out a few and see what you like :-)
@@LetsPlayAll thanks. Like the look (and sound obviously!) of the EHX Oceans 11.
@@jamlemon had it, a bit disappointing , sold it soon, too much noisy also
I’m partial to “What Will I Say?”, which the live version, from a German broadcast at Südbahnoff in Frankfurt, just has one of his best non-solo, leads. His voice whaling away, as if he’s crying out to his own father, though the song was written by a friend of his.
Hopefully this means some Buckley lessons are on their way?
oh yes!
What guitar is that? Great review!
@@iBEADURAN thanks! It’s a Seth Baccus shoreline T 😊🤘

wunderbar!
What was the tuning on Last Goodbye ?, sounded really nice, really nice pedal as well 👍🏻
Thanks mate! Tuning is D-G-D-G-B-D
YES!
I think you have all the pedals
Almost haha - pedalboard build coming soon!
Hello, it is ok a delay pedal for jeff buckley songs?, im beetwen a delay or a reverb, i want delay for cerati songs too
@@ChanoAHC10 I’m not sure what songs he uses delay for off the top of my head, I associate reverb with him more than delay tho
Must give us JB song tutorials PLEASE!!! I subscribed!
More coming soon!
Бальзам на душу, спасибо их России 😘😘😘
where can i buy his guitar?
@@tadeovilchis8a631 www.sethbaccus.com/shoreline 🤘
Specs on the guitar please
Seth Baccus Shoreline T - incredible UK luthier. Has bare knuckle flat 50s pickups which are rad too
@@LetsPlayAll appreciate that thank you!
What guitar is that?
Seth Baccus Shoreline T Standard :-)
I always blame the chair as well 😂
Haha or the dog :-)
His death always feels surreal still to this day.
Never got into Jeff . Great tones here though!
Thanks mate, always time 😀🤘
Did we just become best friends? 🤣
Yes Rich. Yes we did 😀🤘
Buckley was awesome , big loss to the music scene.
Survived hurricane Ian!
Glad to hear it Jeff! Looked like a scary one!
@@LetsPlayAll Wish you would have done Vancouver, I can't figure out the tuning. A couple of my non commercial favorites are witches rave and nightmares by the sea, if you can find the boot leg live at Arlene's grocery it's great.
