- HookLineandPaddle.com After 16 years in business, Hook, Line, and Paddle in Wilmington, NC is going out of business. If you are anywhere within driving range and want a deeply discounted kayak or paddleboard, give them a call to see if they can meet your requirements and put a hold on that item! Their number is 910 792-6945. They will stay in business through at least the 7th of September.

Stinks to see the shop close. Wish I lived closer, I am in Illinois looking to get a fishing kayak to get off the bank. At 6' and about 340 lbs it isn't easy. Anything for my size gets expensive, lol. I wish you the best Chris in whatever path you take after closing.
Dang, wish he sold NuCanoe. I was just at the beach in Wilmington 2 weeks ago.
Shame. But that is how the economy is going.
Why are they going out of business...? Whenever I see stuff like this it makes me wonder why I got into kayaking. Remember Curves? There used to be a Curves gym on every street corner and now they are all gone! This kayaking craze was just that apparently, a passing fad/craze. So glad I invested TEN GRAND in my rig... This sux!
