Oh yeah, you should see how many boats are stocked at each Bass pro shops. I drive by Bass Pro shops quite often. I never seen so many boats in stock in my entire life. I do live in Missouri and I've seen where they stock the boats outside the factory on highway 44. It's a lot of boats. Get ready for a huge boat sale...

Here in Central Florida, we're seeing boat builders laying off people and maybe closing. I'm getting ready to buy and flip all types of boats once the boat and watercraft market crashes in the next year or so. I'm even making arrangements with marinas to get slips for storage and sale at almost no cost.🎉
My local bass pro has unsold boats parked outside as far as you can see. I offered a dales guy 5000 off for a tracker grizzly 1860 cc and they wouldn't budge. They had like 20 or more of them
Slightly incorrect on this specific item. Quality welded aluminum boats have increased in cost so much that since the 90's it's not uncommon to sell a used one for what it cost new. Would I buy 1 today? No, just pointing out the trend.
Why don't people buy used? In this day when there is so much info about new vs, used? As a truck driver, I was surprised to see a report recently about the increase is sales of new tractors? Due to trucking being in a depression, there are PLENTY of used trucks with low miles at great prices, I can't see why people would buy and finance new?
I was a sailor. Always bought used from the jump. Always sold for close to what I paid minus upkeep. Bought a specialty carbon fiber mast one design to fit a niche I thought I needed. Sold in a year in immaculate condition for most of what I paid. Got lucky. Used is the way to go. A boat is a tool, not a status symbol.
While I am not and never have been in the market for a $500K boat, buying one on credit is totally beyond me. I feel that the price of many discretionary items are going to drop, both new and used. It is too early in the game to tell how much, but I'm waiting.
I was in a bass pro this week. jaw dropped st the overpriced garbage they sell esp. the plasticky nylon clothing from main brands. identical items in marshalls sell for a third.
I go to Bass Pro and Cabelas, look around for something I like then search online and ALWAYS find a cheaper price. Nothing is a good deal at these places.
Candles used to be the place to go then the people who own bass pro bought Cabelas and smothered the wonderful store. Its so discouraging I won't go back. I still have the card which I just hadn't dropped
All of the marinas at the lake we go to are FULL UP of 3-5 year old Wake Boats. They are stacked high and deep with used wake boats, advertised at $180k.
Bass Pro Shops has mismanaged their buyout of Cabelas. For example, Bass Pro killed off all the reasonably priced Cabela's clothing, and replaced it with more expensive Red Head clothing in the flagship Cabela's store in Kansas City, Kansas. Most of the space inside freed up now has boats. When I go to Cabela's, I don't want boats. I want hunting and fishing equipment. Bass Pro is desperate to sell their expensive boats. That particular store was packed with people every time I visited it until after Bass Pro bought Cabela's. You don't see it packed, even between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It has become a ghost ship. The final insult was when Cabela's was removed from building and replaced with Bass Pro. I get that, Bass Pro owns it and they can do what they want with it. It was a place I needed to stop by whenever I went to Kansas City. Now, when I think of it, I go meh.
I dont miss going to these stores. Especially after BPS took over. You can't take 5 steps without someone asking you if you want a credit card, or someone trying to hustle vacations like time shares. Then some of the workers try to tell you what you really need.....Thats when I channel my inner Ron Swanson and say "I know more than you" as I walk away and they're still yapping.
Everything is expensive these days. BPS & Cabela's are no exception. However, they have been overpriced even prior to the effects of inflation kicking in. Boats especially are ridiculous. Even fishing lures are so stupid expensive. All this is taking the fun out of what we love. Boating, fishing, hunting, camping, etc. cost way too much. I've gone to a minimalist approach, no more expensive boats and equipment. I don't want to see anyone lose their job but BPS/Cabela's need to wake up and stop over-charging consumers.
I owned boats all of my adult life till about 5 years ago and I don't miss the payments. I rent them now, 4 to 6 times a year for about $1000.00 to $1200.00 total gas included. They put in the water and take it out and we get to use it for the day.
If you put that selfie stick in a tripod you don't need to hold it in your hand but can still walk around. In post you can have the camera follow you around automatically. So as long as you walk around facing the camera you can move as much as you want and easily output the video focused on you.
I think one of the biggest problems is the pandemic got everyone outside and buying recreational equipment like mountain bikes, boats and guns. So when inventory got short it also got expensive and industries started flooding the stores to cash in just before the costumer base started to thin and now they are stuck with inventory it will take years to sell.
In 2019 the Classic XL was like just under $10k with pretty much everything you wanted for a aluminum bass boat starter. Now it's almost $16k very similar boat.
I wanted a mako pro skiff 17 back when they were only around 23k. Didn't buy. Now they are in the 30k plus with a 75 merc. Nope. Sadly everything has been priced higher than customers are willing to pay plus high intrest rates. Price people out of the market and wonder why they have to have layoffs
I absolutely refuse to buy anything from BPS or Cabelas, I was in a BPS and I said to the BPS employee how I could buy the same product from other retailers much cheaper and he literally told me that you had to pay a premium for the privilege of shopping at BPS that did it for me !
While usually your thought on boat pricing is correct, we had an opposite experience. We bought an offshore center console for 120k right before covid hit. not quite 2 years later, we sold it for $40K more than we paid for it, due to demand, supply and rising costs of new boats! We used that to order a slightly bigger and much nicer boat that we are currently enjoying running charters and making videos and it's paying for itself and then some that way. Before anyone thinks that you can actually make money charter fishing...No, you really can't. Not with a new boat anyway. The best you'll do after all of the costs is slightly better than break even and get to fish on a better boat! (and work a LOT!) As our existing boat is being paid down and new boats continue to rise, we think we'll sell this one an a couple more years and upgrade one more time to a USED more custom boat that can take the wear we are putting on it, and keep basically forever. (you think production boats are expensive, look at the custom ones that last!) We do 300-400 hours per year on our boat. BTW. Most people should NEVER buy a boat! For the money they spend yearly, they could go on all the charters they want and be money ahead with no work! Boats are mostly for people who can't do math. 🙂
Tennessee passed a law recently making it illegal to spray their sky’s this year 2024. People need to spread this so it wakes all people up to the truth a s’more or all states do the same. The spray also causes way more amplified fires we found out. It makes the levels not fall off when dead and also makes the tree tops burn along with the base layer and so it’s a double burn and also it’s a combustible and so they say now fires spread fast all Dorris d not just the way the wind burns. Old time forest fire workers have noticed all this and tried spreading the world because they never saw fires act this way in thief past lifetime forestry work.
This world is full of people that have that "instant gratification" mentality. He who dies with the most toys wins. They buy over priced stuff so that they can be the center of attention and have others talk about them.
I see comments from people that used to frequent Cabela's but haven't since BPS bought them. I'm one of them. I used to buy everything from fishing to firearms and the associated gear from them, but I haven't for several years. I had talked to a number of employees I got to know over the years there. They told me how much worse it got there after BPS came in. Unfortunately that seems to be the rule, not the exception when this happens.
You left out some key points. First is lack of competition in many areas. Tracker Marine Group owns most of the major brands of fishing boats -- Tracker, Ranger, Triton, Nitro, etc. The remaining brands like Phoenix are very expensive high-end boats. There simply aren't a lot of reasonably priced boats left. It's not just a marketing model; it's an entire industry based on selling a very high-end product to a limited market. Without entry products you don't get new buyers into the market who can eventually buy your high-end product. And, then there's quality. Which Tracker isn't known for.
Yep saved and paid cash for a new boat! Lol! Welcome to realizing we’ve been in a recession. No more disposable income! Many Jobs going bye-bye. If it isn’t food or necessities many people aren’t buying.

Bass pro has always been overpriced . They always survived by "the Disney effect" . Build huge retail stores, make it a "destination ", fill with expensive stuff ,then blame the government when people don't buy anything. Where do you get your economic info? Have a BP 40 miles from my home have been many times, but buy little because of price. They have a massive selection, but again high prices slow down sales. Lower retails = higher sales 😮
Spot on. Read my story yall- My WIFE works at Cabelas (10% off tracker boats) - I went to finance a 1860 center console - came out to 390$ a month but with interest (19%) - came out to like close to 50k I backed out of the deal because I just simply could not justify it. Bought a used 2003 tracker center console -5200$ .
Those lay offs are considered local to us. Last time i think they had the contact with Japan not this time i suppose. I pray people are paying attention
If the analogy of "Supply and Demand" was true, these prices would be down 50% right now. Cars, boats, homes, plenty of supply and low to no demand..😮 so whats up
Without credit, new car sales would tank. So would boats, farm tractors, the whole thing. It would crash the economy - for a while. Then people would get used to living like they do in Cuba, driving a Hooptie, cobbling 5 different tractors together to plow their fields. Hmmm.

An outdoor hunting and fishing store should sell mostly outdoor hunting and fishing products. At Bass Pro, 50% of the store sells clothing, disguised as outdoor hunting and fishing wear. A shirt is a shirt!. Branding itb READHEAD doesn't make it more of an outdoor product. Most of the fishing stuff is Made in China and overpriced. The hunting stuff is ok but overpriced. The fly fishing/tying stuff is pitiful and overpriced.Forget about the boats and ATV's /It's. Way too overpriced. SUMMARY - Big Price, Moderate Value !
Those side by sides are a rip off. Look at any other brand and you get better quality for half the price. Buyi g those is like buying an infinity which will always be broken vs buying an acura and never having a problem

The average family is getting tapped out and those younger families are getting pummeled. Housing prices and rents are outrageous and extra items like boats, campers, Rvs and such are being deferred. I have been pricing Aluminum Fishing boats and Trackers are still some of the lowest priced. But when a truck or four wheeler to tow it can easily set the working man back 60 Gs a boat may get put off. The middle class is getting squeezed. Reminder -- Don’t forget to exercise your right vote this year you may just get the government you vote for - if you do not vote you WILL get the government the other guy votes for.
Buy stuff at independent dealers whether on the web or local. You'll be supporting small business and probably better service and prices. This goes for almost any category. I would never buy a gun there and probably not fishing gear either.
l live by the lake and have boat at marina and have had for several years. the lake is loaded with new and newer boats. fewer people are buying fishing boats, they prefer pontoons and more expensive boats. I will have to leave the marina due to the rising cost. but they have long waiting lists of people wanting in and they are not fisherman.
Dude, look at the video at roughly the 4:10 mark. There is a mouse or rat that comes out of the bush towards your feet and then turns around and goes back in to the bush. You could have gotten bit and rabies. RIP Ninja. Watch out Ninja, its dangerous in Vegas.
In Michigan, I shopped at Cabela's bc they had better prices than bass pro did. Then a couple years go by and I hear bass pro buys Cabela's and now Cabela's prices are the same as bass pro's. They're getting what they deserve.
Have one within 25 miles and Never go to it. Sticker shock has always been a problem there. I don't want to pay for the overbuilt space and giant fish tank. Sooner they go under the better.

Last night I didn’t even see that anger I had been seeing, most people looked very defeated.
May you all be well and have a very blessed day 🙏🏼🕊️✝️💝
I see it as well.
@@therooster6104 I have noticed the exact same thing. I thought I was just too sensitive.
@@CharlesRyan-f3j Very strange feeling isn’t it brother 🤝🙏🏼

@@therooster6104 Thanks, you too.
One feels defeated when a half loaded shopping cart of store brand food costs $300!!!
😮its actually a clothing store with some recrational items. near to no ammunition or reload supplies. i have more reload stuff than BP in MS. i just redeem my CC points, ususlly walk out owing nothing.😂
Last time I went to Cabela’s the place was depressing. Just worn out and tawdry. I used to go all the time to buy hunting, hiking and camping gear. I walked in and several of the animals in the dioramas had fallen over, fewer fish in the aquariums.
it's pitiful
Oh yeah, you should see how many boats are stocked at each Bass pro shops. I drive by Bass Pro shops quite often. I never seen so many boats in stock in my entire life. I do live in Missouri and I've seen where they stock the boats outside the factory on highway 44. It's a lot of boats. Get ready for a huge boat sale...

Used boats everywhere.
Here in Central Florida, we're seeing boat builders laying off people and maybe closing. I'm getting ready to buy and flip all types of boats once the boat and watercraft market crashes in the next year or so. I'm even making arrangements with marinas to get slips for storage and sale at almost no cost.🎉
the waterways are packed
Who are you going to flip the boats to if nobody has money ?
I'm in Ozark mo.
The boats at the plant are wrapped at stored in the field as far as you can see.
The interest is better for new and they are great at hooking gullible drivers.
5 plus year dependability and a warranty?
I was a sailor. Always bought used from the jump. Always sold for close to what I paid minus upkeep. Bought a specialty carbon fiber mast one design to fit a niche I thought I needed. Sold in a year in immaculate condition for most of what I paid. Got lucky. Used is the way to go. A boat is a tool, not a status symbol.
New finances better and people have no money
Johnny Morris bought Cabelas and absolutely ran it into the ground. Worst thing that ever happened to them. Bass pro is all Chinese made cheap junk.
4:10 - Even the mice are running scared!!!
That rat was like, "You see these prices? I'm outta here."
@@NothingToSeeHere-mb3fw Looking for this comment ever since I noticed it. Good eye.
Those toy payments are what usual car payments used to be, not so long ago.
My first house payment was less than these boat payments.
A lot of the prices in Bass Pro / Cabela's simply aren't competitive, especially in new small arms and ammunition; it's selective in used small arms.
While I am not and never have been in the market for a $500K boat, buying one on credit is totally beyond me. I feel that the price of many discretionary items are going to drop, both new and used. It is too early in the game to tell how much, but I'm waiting.
They need to cut prices.
Everything is expensive as fk!!!!
I was in a bass pro this week. jaw dropped st the overpriced garbage they sell esp. the plasticky nylon clothing from main brands. identical items in marshalls sell for a third.
Wow, 20 grand for a Tinker-Toy is crazy. Thank you Ninja.
Aluminum boats have a use factor that fiberglass can not compete with.
We have an aluminum canoe my dad bought in 72. It still floats and looks great.
Lol
I go to Bass Pro and Cabelas, look around for something I like then search online and ALWAYS find a cheaper price. Nothing is a good deal at these places.
Be safe Ninja ✌️😎
Candles used to be the place to go then the people who own bass pro bought Cabelas and smothered the wonderful store. Its so discouraging I won't go back. I still have the card which I just hadn't dropped
I swear I thought he didn’t have a hand for half the video.

Yep- Fell for that too! Interesting filter for the selfie stick.

I did too. Wondered why I had never noticed that.
All of the marinas at the lake we go to are FULL UP of 3-5 year old Wake Boats. They are stacked high and deep with used wake boats, advertised at $180k.
I wanted a pontoon and I was in the market when COVID hit no boats available the after they over doubled in price putting me out of the market.
People are trying to sell used boats for more than brand new.
I love that LOL
I dont miss going to these stores. Especially after BPS took over. You can't take 5 steps without someone asking you if you want a credit card, or someone trying to hustle vacations like time shares. Then some of the workers try to tell you what you really need.....Thats when I channel my inner Ron Swanson and say "I know more than you" as I walk away and they're still yapping.
Many welders and outfitters feed their families building these boats.
The HR and office pets always keep their jobs when sales drop
You are bang on Sir. Love that. Only people who buy a new boat are those who cant pay cash. Perfectly said
If you put that selfie stick in a tripod you don't need to hold it in your hand but can still walk around.
Go by the plant in Lebanon Mo. There are acres upon acres of boats outfitted with Mercury motors just sitting in big lots.
Lowe, Lund, Landau, or Tracker?

Lol. Scammer!
How many companies have employees who Occasionally suffer from stupid 😅

Listen to this man!
Outboard motors have gone out of sight. Doesnt help that outboards are going 4 stroke. 4 strokes are heavier and slower
Holy crap.. Trails in the sky behind you are thick
@@winterhomestead no shortage of aluminum sprayed in in sky.
Oh yes Dane Wigington has videos on them. The weather controlled

@canyoncliffracer I love when people like us notice & comment on these videos! Sad to see those skies, but nice to see others are aware!
This world is full of people that have that "instant gratification" mentality. He who dies with the most toys wins. They buy over priced stuff so that they can be the center of attention and have others talk about them.
It’s called, ‘Senseless Desire to Acquire’.
Quality better than quantity is how I have always lived by.
There is a difference in the two terms.
You pay for what you get.
Their credit card at 29.99% is a Rip-Off And I cancelled my Card, I told them so. Other credit cards are way less to use there!!!
Why not just lower the prices of the boats so more sell and they make more profit and keep the people working???
Sell them for free and have major profit.😊😊
I recommend buying a generator or a portable solar battery pack
You left out some key points. First is lack of competition in many areas. Tracker Marine Group owns most of the major brands of fishing boats -- Tracker, Ranger, Triton, Nitro, etc. The remaining brands like Phoenix are very expensive high-end boats. There simply aren't a lot of reasonably priced boats left. It's not just a marketing model; it's an entire industry based on selling a very high-end product to a limited market. Without entry products you don't get new buyers into the market who can eventually buy your high-end product. And, then there's quality. Which Tracker isn't known for.
I quit using credit cards a long time ago. Might have to get one just to up my credit score.

I go to my bass pro occasionally and only buy little items like bait or clothing. I never buy big ticket items, they’re just too expensive.
Spot on. Read my story yall-
My WIFE works at Cabelas (10% off tracker boats) - I went to finance a 1860 center console - came out to 390$ a month but with interest (19%) - came out to like close to 50k
I backed out of the deal because I just simply could not justify it.
Bought a used 2003 tracker center console -5200$ .
🔫BE PREPARED, NOT SCARED🔫
Tracker has laid off people every recession most of my adult life. Its always been an unstable job for decades.
$340/mo for that pontoon is with $3,200 down AND for 20 years.
Those lay offs are considered local to us.
Last time i think they had the contact with Japan not this time i suppose. I pray people are paying attention
You can’t expense your way into a profit.
Yeah, when I go in the morning to just blow some time there are only a handful of people at best.
The good thing is the employees rock!
Hmmm.
Just print on the dotted line , we are a credit society being in debt until death is becoming the norm.

exactly what everyone has got to do……stop buying, protest with your wallet!
An outdoor hunting and fishing store should sell mostly outdoor hunting and fishing products. At Bass Pro, 50% of the store sells clothing, disguised as outdoor hunting and fishing wear. A shirt is a shirt!. Branding itb
READHEAD doesn't make it more of an outdoor product. Most of the fishing stuff is Made in China and overpriced. The hunting stuff is ok but overpriced. The fly fishing/tying stuff is pitiful and overpriced.Forget about the boats and ATV's /It's. Way too overpriced.

$300 is better spent on necessities like groceries vs.a want like a boat.
I only go to my Bass Pro for reloading supplies so I really don't care about their boats sitting around.
