I sincerely hope that bringing back electrumite and a singular starving venom will be enough but master duel tell me otherwise
You'd have to literally undo MR4, unlimit every pend card (astrograph) and then you MIGHT have a chance. Pends just haven't been given anything to compete in the modern meta. It's obvious Konami just hates them for the sake of appeasing very specific american boomers that refuse to read.
I want to mention something. You CAN make the God cards pretty good, if you slap them on Floowanderzee. Empen summoning Sphere Mode on the opponent's turn is absolutely hysterical of a play, and Slifer is a fantastic floodgate to combine with Empen as well. Ra can also solve Floo's lack of OTK options. Also, Crystal Beasts CAN run a lot of non engine in small decksizes without bricking, if you are creative with the deck. There is just little reason to bother since you can simply brute force through most endboards with sheer gas and thus rarely need the non engine to begin with. Especially if you open Rainbow Bridge of the Heart, wich in addition to a searcher and double summon, it's also a removal spell.
Im a big fan of crystal's as well, with no interruptions from opponent this decks end boards are better than tier 1 decks, completely insane. Would love to see more.
Your production quality has been awesome in the last months. So good to watch. Keep it up! BUT Adventure Synchron with the Diabellstar engine is not an F Tier deck. I don't know how many tops Exodia has/will get in the near future but Adventure Synchron has by far the most regional tops in the last few formats of these Anime decks and it's definitely not because it's played more than the others. I got single digit placements in two regionals with over a 100 players myself. These tournaments should be acceptable in the case of Anime Decks to measure it's viability if you compare the decks to Blue-Eyes etc. Junk Speeder is not that susceptible to hand traps as almost any standard line summons it uneffected with Accel Stardust still people hold their cards for that spot. I feel like the representation in Master Duel is not really representative of what the deck looks like in competitive TCG. Yes, I am biased for sure but it's a bias build on playing the deck in competitive environments. The deck is better than Heros, DM etc for sure. But it's totally understandable to not know every minor rogue deck and it's competitiveness. Reasonable😂
Bro I’m glad someone agrees with me I was looking for a synchro player to comment on that like wtf is he talking about you seen them just top recently he doesn’t know the potential of the deck and assumes it’s out dated I guess
@@gabrielpujol4709 the problem is the small player base. Many decks have greater potential than what they seem through relresentation and innovation. Many rogue decks suffer from that effect because not enough actual competitive players work on the deck as they do on the decks that are easier to get viable for the meta. It's natural that these smaller decks aren't noticed as much then. No accusation to Jesse. You just can't be that deep into all of these decks. It's just not relevant for the top meta players
Wow honestly super amazed to see heros and crystal beasts so high up. I remember when the crystal beasts got a lil bit of support like 6 years ago or something, and around that time I tried a random list and they didnt feel great and I feel like I didnt hear anyone talk about em. And same thing with heroes, it felt like at the time dark law was not being the house it used to be and the deck didnt really have a strength. But I did know that neo spacians got some support, so its just super cool to see these decks being listed way above some of these other decks that I remember being strong (even if they didnt hold up).

Ive been having a good time with Tistina right now in master duel, personally run it pure and focus on just getting the opponets board face down to attack twice with the Big boss monster twice by use tainted by the tistinas effect
Would love to see you play some Blackwings! With the addition of the new Raidraptor XYZ that came to master duel, there are 3 "1 Card Combo"'s that get out Kali Yuga with at least Dis Pater and Full Armor Master

There are some great cyberse cards that are not tied to any one set too. I have a mid deck that can do some work. Through playing with them I adopted Linkslayer in to many of my decks outside of Cyberse too. Clock Wyvern is another I made work outside too, with Speedroids: Drop Wyvern, drop its token, drop CarTurbo, drop any L8 synchro, or you neglect the token and get L7.
I'm surprised at a lack of Pend strategies. or Melodious. Not sure about fiendsmith but melodious had a surprisingly good Snake-Eye matchup last format because the new cards made it easy to access fusions that could bounce and banish from gy instead of helping them plus. for pend, we're missing Electrumite, ok and? Supreme King is a very consistent engine that can make brutal end boards when paired with something like Pend Magician or Melodious, either layered interaction from IP>SP, Time Pendulumgraph, Appo etc plus adding back extension for next turn and drawing into hand traps. or with Melodious Ostinato is a one card combo that can let you set up Absolute dragon on summon 5 letting you insulate against Nib since they either nib there and you get to summon vortex, or they don't and by the time vortex is out you have a live negate. even without ostinato it has several 2 card combos that can result in some nasty links and rank 7 xyz. Me personally i'd have melodious in A/B and Supreme King in B/C

Salamangreats are kinda insane though, currently. Their sbility to utilize the Snake-Eyes engine is amazing, yet they can't really utilize Fiendsmith not only due to their fire locks, but also because of their super tight Extra Deck. The deck is amazing even without the Snake-Eyes engine due to their multiple statyers and Gazelle and Stalio. I'm currently running a Salamangreat Fire Kings build with no Snake-Eyes cards and I've been getting top 3 results at my locals against Yubel and other meta decks. The inability of Salamangreat to stop Nibiru is a huge downside though... Great video!
I would like to hear your opinion on sharks right now, I think they have really good layered interaction and have a good 1 card combo with toad and full armored support. Kragen also does well into fire decks c:
Funny you should mention DM having better support than Blue-Eyes atm, because it's also arguably the better choice for a Magia Turbo Deck, just use Fusion Armament or a material sub for BEUD and fuse with everyone's favorite, Illusion of Chaos.
Crystal beast is so fun. I definitely wanna try out some 60 card versions. The deck really needs a decent link monster. I think a link 5 that lets you use spell trap crystal beasts, and maybe a link 2 searcher

I’ve actually been having a decent ability of dominating the current meta using a supreme king/endymion deck. My only headache has been raidraptors frankly. Yubel, snake eyes, tenpia. Easy to break up for me
I use Harpie's Pet Dragon Fearsome Fire Blast in a deck as an extender. It's not even a harpy deck. It's Speedroid. And it's only valid in master Duel, where a level 7 non-tuner extender can go into Baronne in that deck really easily. Sadly it can't go into the other level 10 big boss we use, as it requires a synchro tuner, and a clear wing non tuner. Basically Cork Shooter and Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Clear Wing Fast Dragon Synchrons relying heavily on Junk Speeder is a weakness, sure, but if it resolves, that gives access to millions of possible combos for an insane endboard. Mine usually had more negates than my opponent had cards in hand. That deck is insane if Speeder goes through, but busted if it doesn't. Kind of a 1 trick pony, but with a really strong trick. For Photon, I'd include Hope Harbinger as a honorary card for the archetype. I kinda miss red dragon archfiend/resonators as an anime deck. It's a good budget option due to the structure deck. Tearlaments were never a problem deck. The Ishizu cards were. And I'm really f*cking glad they're limited to 2/12. F*ck stun. Runic stun was cancer. The less of those cards are still legal, the better the game gets. Receantly I've seen a Spright deck that can bring out Magia with just about any starting hand. Through multiple handtraps. It was pretty insane. Sprights are really good if someone knows how to use them well. Adventure engine is still pretty decent in MD though. Where baronne and Borreload Savage are still valid. Infernoble had 2 good cards. 1 got banned. Renaud can't carry it alone. Heck, I've seen Isolde and Renaud used in other decks more than in Infernobles. Let's say, Jeffrey Leonard's Indianapolis Exodia deck for example. Dragonlink physically can't die. It has tons of options. You take away one, they find another. To actually hurt it, you'd have to take away something very core to them, like Striker Dragon. What I find weird, is that you included Paleozoics, but not Labrynth/Traptrix as trap decks. Labrynth is probably the strongest among them, but Traptrix is really cheap thanks to the structure deck, making it a great and very consistent budget option in my opinion. (any 1 monster -> Sera -> go combo off as you want) I'd also love to see Speedroids/Clear Wing as an option, which almost never shows up, but I love as a deck. Windwitches are also a nice package to slap on the deck, for an extra free unkillable Crystalwing, if you pull the windwitch combo starter. Alternatively, Blackwings. Blackwings are one of the most versatyle archetype I ever played. They can keep comboin on for a long time through multiple handtraps, and set up a board. If they don't get hit too hard, than a rather impressive board at that. Imagine taxing your opponent for over 2000 life points for every monster effect activation, while you can also negate a bunch. Or be unaffected. Or just pop their monsters on their turn. Simultaniously.
i know you're a tcg player mainly but having something like this for master duel would be lovely, because it feels so confusing on whats actually playable and whats not lol
nobody remembers D/D/D as an anime deck...that actually topped a few ycs unlike most of the rest of the list. It even has some synergy with fiendsmiths
Been using blue eyes new cards since they were announced & with the new cards announced yesterday I would definitely say it enters meta but it is weak to going 2nd and hand traps so it could be an S tier rouge
Red-eyes having like 1/4th the amounts of spells and traps as dark magician is insane considering 2/10 are ritual spells. We really need more spells to make the deck function more. The best spell red-eyes could get overall is probably a dragunity divine lance to equip a baby or black metal as then gearfried + the equip would be fully combo. Hell make the equip also able to fusion summon using the equipped monster into a slash dragon then equip the fusion material to slash
Resonators are worthy of being considered at least. They mix well with centurion, have better utility for supernova and are super consistent. Their only problem is the choke points because they are really bad but centurion helps with that and if centurion gets another dark dragon synchro I believe RDA could do a lot.
Resonator absolutely belongs in A-tier, if not stronger. Bunch of starters and bunch of room for non engine. And Flame Crime/Red Reign do a lot to improve the decks resilience to Hand Traps (even as 1 ofs). And there are so many ways to play it... Bystials/Pure/Centurion... Would be sick to see you try it. P.S. If you try pure, play Void Apocalypse.
RDA needs some love, I mean deck can make a pretty strong board if doesn't get hit by negate (most of the time it will). Crimson King Structure Deck was awsome and picking up 3x deck is a really strong deck without bricked hands but it doesn't have enough non-engine. If you put some hand traps and some staples and really make deck modern it's a solid A. I've already won locals with this budget deck and I must say it's really fun to play.👍
Adamancipator is hit or miss without the unlocking the Block, it's going to take some time to figure the best build without it, or wait for support. But its Decent and fun to play still. Deserves a time to shine for real.

I’m using this to think on MD decks in the future. I may invest in Lightsworn/tear after I build up a stockpile of gems, since I’ve already got decks like Hero and Memento built. I’ve always loved Crystal Beasts, but never dedicated the time to figure them totally out
Putting galaxy in f tier when literally in ocg, with the tachyon cards, they needed to ban the turtle because it could ftk and is already good at otk is wild, come on bro how could it be worse than fucking crystal beast ☠️
You said it, in OCG... Right now, in TCG it's really bad without that support
@@Jofator10 its bad but its not worse than blue eyes imo, it should have been in d tier too
@@uvoytExactly! At the moment photon/galaxy is not under blue eyes, dark magician, ashened and the other in d tier so it doesn't make sense.
@@uvoytexactly also he listed one rank 8 when they have decal really broken rank 8’s. Some can pull cards from your opponents extra deck easily, Number 38 negates spells,Dingrisu is a non targeting removal on summon with double material protection for your other monsters.
@@historyking9984 my end board is usually solflare, photon lord, number 38 with galaxy hundred on the field. 2 negates + 1 special summon destroy and extra deck banish from galaxy hundred. if you're second it can be a pain if you get interrupted but if you bait enough and have a way of getting jumper + soldier it's all good. the only matchups I've had problems with are against tearlaments and yubel
Been enjoying Crystal Beast so much, I’m building Advanced along with. Getting close to completion!
the fact that dark magician and kuriboh are mentionned before any pendulum strategy in a ROGUE tier list is wild, these days i don't know if "bringing back master rule 3" would be enough for these strategy to compete. I sincerely hope that bringing back electrumite and a singular starving venom will be enough but master duel tell me otherwise
Still unplayable gang
NGL I wouldn't be mad if the deck stayed dead for all eternity. I realise it sucks if you like playing it but for me personally, it's great.
Electrumite could be at 3 and it wouldn't matter in a world where d barrier and anti spell are legal
You'd have to literally undo MR4, unlimit every pend card (astrograph) and then you MIGHT have a chance. Pends just haven't been given anything to compete in the modern meta. It's obvious Konami just hates them for the sake of appeasing very specific american boomers that refuse to read.
Nah pendulum are stupid op and should be gutted as they are now.
@bobby45825
The fact that the cards become continuous spells brings out some old cards to the front. That is another set I want to cook with.
Big up Exodia and Millennium, hoping the archetype continues to get support after the blue-eyes card!
My new main deck, its frickin sickkkk
You brought me back to ygo. Having a fun time these past few days. Cant thank you enough!
Curious about your're thoughts on Ancient Gear. The deck didnt do too bad at the NAWCQ.
But I did know that neo spacians got some support, so its just super cool to see these decks being listed way above some of these other decks that I remember being strong (even if they didnt hold up).
definitely makes me want to try out crystal beasts lol
Surprised you didn't mention toons. I know that they'll rank low but i still love em.
Btw, Endymion is one of the coolest decks ever.
Been playing bystial Burning abyss latley its pretty solid. one of my favorite decks of all time and is always splashable with other decks thanks to cherubini
Would love your thoughts on ice barrier & dinos as a rogue status as well
ice barriers still about d to f tier. dinos are always good.
calling current ice barriers to d or f and mentioning dinos above it is bonkers. deck currently has a floodgate for everything, lancea can summon zero for 3 banish when leaves and also deck has like 15 non engine slots for either other engines or hand traps/staples. can beat dinos one handed, any day-any time.
@@batu3689 the problem is trying to get those floodgates out to stop everything and not having them blown up or stopped. dinos are always good because they search conducter tyranno who's crazy strong. you could make an ice barrier floodgate deck but like i said if you can't set up there's no way. plus it's a slow deck.
just saying, i love how fun Gate Guardians are. they have nostalgia, combos, and are competitive. you don’t need anything else other than all that! (i post some of my favorite Gate Guardian wins on my channel if you wanna learn more about them!)
It's crazy that Yubel is one the best decks and it's an anime deck.
salad was the best deck once
and all it took was 1 completely broken custom card....
More like 1 giga broken card + 1 custom card + 3 good cards
I love tier lists like this it reminds me of arctypes I forgot and gives me an idea of what I could reasonably play and not get stomped
Where the blackwings?
FUCK, how could i forget black wings
And Raidraptors. And Ancient Gear.
No, keep them under the radar!
@@jessekottonygo where are the phantom knights?
@@jessekottonygoRight?? How could you Jesse!! Haha... I know why you didn't put it on the list, you're indirectly saying it's not rogue because it's meta! Wait till kanak here's about this 😂.
Gimmick puppets are also an anime deck if that helps, along with utopia, Heraldic, numbers/Numeron, Battlin Boxer, and Chromnomaly.
Drytron will surprise you with the new support
You can play the wanted package and you can play the adventure package in Synchron, which boost that deck tremendously. That makes it incredibly hard to negates speeder and if you go that route which people would know you would have to ask the search spell. If not, I already have the card or Tuner) in hand. I’ve played this deck since it’s release and I’m pretty satisfied.
I been playing memento since wave 1
Ive been having a good time with Tistina right now in master duel, personally run it pure and focus on just getting the opponets board face down to attack twice with the Big boss monster twice by use tainted by the tistinas effect
Jesse Kotton is secretly Dreadguy confirmed 😂
LOL
Would love to see you play some Blackwings! With the addition of the new Raidraptor XYZ that came to master duel, there are 3 "1 Card Combo"'s that get out Kali Yuga with at least Dis Pater and Full Armor Master
He doesn’t play synchros I assume with him rating them f tier so I rather see pilots that play synchros consistently every format rather than him i like his videos but that just through me off
What about the Cyberse decks?
Code Talker/Firewall
@Ignister
Salamangreat
Marincess
Salamangreat is definitely S. Marincess are high B and cyberse piles would be very low
libromancer?
Can you showcase Yubel/Crystal beast please. Dread Guy has an amazing Deck Profile. ❤
Im looking forward to the lightsworn video. Im a returning player that quit when symchros came out and ive been attempting to learn the game again. Been playing Tear Lightsworn on Master Duel and Dark World
Galaxy-eyes F tier? Not is the best deck, but is much better than deck in tier C D
Doesn’t have enough starters to play around ANY interruption. It was my go to rogue deck at first but I switched to HEROs because galaxy eyes just kept getting hard stopped to one ash/imperm/veiler
@@iBFasting Yeah But like... Thats more than Red and Blue eyes as well as dark magician has. They dont have ANY starters lmao. Any Galaxy eyes End Board is better than dragoon pass
@@iBFasting nah the guy has no idea what rogue's deck do because he doesn't play them. galaxy isn't an f tier lmao. galaxy with the new support can easily end on 5 interruptions. they banned catapult due to it, it was otking turn 1.
@@iBFasting it can play through interuption tho? it just depends on your hand which is what makes it bad. with an average hand you should easily be able to play through at least 1 interuption, with a good hand you can play through more. not saying its an A tier deck but i wouldnt put it in f tier. its definitly better than synchrons and i dont see how harpies are better than this
Love the cutscene to CrushCards!
Synchron is much better than half of this decks
Pure is in a rough spot at the moment but not F tier bad. Adventure builds also pop off and get pretty crazy
My Boys ancient gears 💀😭
They are meta that's why they are not here :D
And about Traptrix and pure Fire King?!
I literally told him to shout them out his next video when I was playing next to him at the V I P tables 😢 but yall right it is now meta.🎉
They are overqualified for this list. 2 tops on July
I would like to hear your opinion on sharks right now, I think they have really good layered interaction and have a good 1 card combo with toad and full armored support. Kragen also does well into fire decks c:
Jesse must've made this before the new support came out last night
Yeah bc those new BE cards are nuts I can see it as a tier 2-ish
@@LynnLyns Even with the good support its still rogue at best.
Funny you should mention DM having better support than Blue-Eyes atm, because it's also arguably the better choice for a Magia Turbo Deck, just use Fusion Armament or a material sub for BEUD and fuse with everyone's favorite, Illusion of Chaos.
Ancient Gear ?
Crystal beast is so fun. I definitely wanna try out some 60 card versions.
The deck really needs a decent link monster. I think a link 5 that lets you use spell trap crystal beasts, and maybe a link 2 searcher
Kashtira?
kashtira is always meta
Picked up lightsworns when I saw the fiendsmith cards.
That engine gives lightsworn a way to start. Can’t wait to see what u come up with
Not sure if Jesse reads the comments but would love to see the profile on the new lightsworn look. I’m struggling with the extra deck. It’s super tight and I’m trying to decide what is the best

I honestly was pondering to re-enter YGO after seeing both Ritual Beast and Madolche. But when I was last sunday at my LGS, 5 of the 9 guys played Snake Eye Fiend Smith so I dropped the thought.
I really want to see that lightsworn deck, cant wait for the vid to come out.
As a Dark Magician player I can accept the placement.
I like to have fun duels with some back forth and DM allows me to do just that.
My boys Yuma and Shark Utopia and Shark/Armored decks from Zexal lets go baby!
Love your opinions on ghoti and gold pride. Ghoti has shifter and hold pride has roller baller
Agreed; Ghoti are pretty legit, and also with Shifter, you can make Runick or White Gohti.
Where in this video does he talk about Ghoti?
I've only been playing Ashened and Mimighoul since they've come out. Loving the game.
would love to see some frightfur/fluffal stuff and on the kuriboh topic i think number 13/31 fits well
Videos get better and better dude!
Ive got a fun deck in masterduel that id love to get in the real world.
Blue Eyes/Dark Magician chaos, with Chaos Max and BLS-Soldier of Chaos being the money makers
armed dragon! with dragon rulers now limited and new support this deck can be quite strong!
also d/d's! they made some powerful boards.
Basically Cork Shooter and Clear Wing Synchro Dragon/Clear Wing Fast Dragon
Synchrons relying heavily on Junk Speeder is a weakness, sure, but if it resolves, that gives access to millions of possible combos for an insane endboard.
(any 1 monster -> Sera -> go combo off as you want)
I'd also love to see Speedroids/Clear Wing as an option, which almost never shows up, but I love as a deck.
17:50 I'm pretty sure dragon ruler still wins for most bans, considering every card in the archetype was banned at one point
I cant wait for the next blue eyes support, I already saw some 1,5 combos consistently bring out the magia
i know you're a tcg player mainly but having something like this for master duel would be lovely, because it feels so confusing on whats actually playable and whats not lol
nobody remembers D/D/D as an anime deck...that actually topped a few ycs unlike most of the rest of the list. It even has some synergy with fiendsmiths
Hyped for the Lightsworn video!
Been using blue eyes new cards since they were announced & with the new cards announced yesterday I would definitely say it enters meta but it is weak to going 2nd and hand traps so it could be an S tier rouge
Finally some hero love from jesse lol..
I've been watching GX, so the Rogue decks from there that come to mind are Ojama, Armed Dragons, ABC's, Fossils, and Cyber Dragons.
Time Thief would be cool to see honestly
For videos about these decks, it'd be helpful to show a decklist or two for each deck 🙂
Fortune Lady would be fire for anime deck! And I'd love to see LiveTwin for more of an old modern deck.
I would like to see where dinosaurs, sharks, domain monarchs, cyber dragons, salamangreats, and pendulum magician go on the list.
Adamancipator is hit or miss without the unlocking the Block, it's going to take some time to figure the best build without it, or wait for support. But its Decent and fun to play still. Deserves a time to shine for real.
