We need more archetypes like this that connect the often chaotic deck compositions of early characters into a cohesive and functional thing…. Now we just need an equivalent for Kaiba that links his Blue-Eyes cards with all his other odds and ends (Swordstalker, Sagi, Mystical Elf, Obelisk, etc…) Edit: Also ones for the other anime characters with otherwise chaotic deck compositions that REALLY wouldn’t hold up well in the actual game.

I just noticed: The bird-like figures on Gold Sarcophagus are facing inward towards each other, while the bird-like figures on Shining Sarcophagus are facing outward away from each other.
Which is a REALLY fun bit of lore in card design. The Gold Sarcophagus, designed to contain the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle, would obviously have the decorative birds facing one another; the gods are looking towards the puzzle box, because Atem, a pharaoh, is inside. The Shining Sarcophagus, meanwhile, doesn't have anything of importance sealed inside yet. In fact, it's being used to unseal Atem and send him to the afterlife he's been denied. So, the gods have no reason to watch an empty box.
Isn’t it also a reference to the Ark of the Covenant? The angels facing into the ark bowing down to God and his laws (the Ten Commandments) housed within the Ark.
I love how each of the monsters of the Shining Sarcophagus archetype have gold armour/gold themes in their artworks. Also Silent Magician Zero’s effect where it can increase its level and has another effect based on its level increase is kinda like how the Fortune Lady monsters increase their levels by one and each gain attack by their level times a certain amount. Please do the Libromancer archetype next
I fucking love this archetype. It went full balls to the wall on the idea of making a deck that has as many random monsters possible synergize. Could see a good few choices for future additions to this series/archetype. - Dark Magician Girl's an obvious choice, perhaps paired with the other Magician Girls from Dark Side of Dimensions. - The Magnet Warriors and/or Valkyrion could be good, especially with some effect theming around Yugi's play involving them to destroy the Egyptian Gods. - Gaia and Curse of Dragon have some potential, maybe involving Catapult Turtle too or maybe Atem's play in the last duel with Swift Gaia. - And for a few other iconic ones: Buster Blader; Watapon; Giant Soldier of Stone (perhaps with some Attack the Moon referencing) and Celtic Guardian.
people have said it already, but ill put them together here. Archfiend's effects reference the anime effect of Summoned Skull. Summoned Skull raised the attack of Yugis Magnet monsters with its electricity. The monster stealing effect might be a reference to how both Joey and Pegasus used it against Yugi by using effects to take control of it.
There was only one time that comes to mind for summoned skull. When yugi battled the rare hunter in battle city summoned skull boosted his magnet warrior’s attack points by 200
7:14 I saw two comments that mentioned where Archfeind Advent's effects came from. I guess the brain control in the duel with Rebecca kinda works, but I think the attack gain is against Seeker (the exodia player in battle city) when Alpha the magnet warrior gained attack from summoned skull. Side note, it's really funny that Alpha the magnet warrior just won a duel without the other magnet warriors on the field. 15:21 I'd love to see the magnet warriors get added to the deck.
My best guess without researching further as to why the new Summon Skull lookalike steals an opponent's monster is, skull archfiend of lighting was apart of the archfiend archetype; and they had a card called falling down. Falling down stole an opponent's monster which was good, but had archetype specific requirements otherwise. There's that theory and in the old yugioh gba games, nearly everyone had summon skull and brain control in their deck(s), because it was so good. You were hard pressed if you didn't see that combo, namely Yugi Muto and Weevil of all people.
I’m so happy you finally covered my first physical deck! I really hope they give more retrains into this archetype based on the final duel…Gaia, BMG, Buster Blader, maybe a monster with all 3 Magnet Warriors on it haha
Archfiends Advent is a reference to Yugi's Brain Control card. It does the same effect that lasts until the End Phase, before going back to the opponent, just without taking Life Point Damage.
It’d be cool if we got the magnet warriors in this series. Some things they could do: 1. Make the magnets a trio like the gadgets, with an effect that references how Yugi used them in a combo to wipe out Atem’s god cards. 2. Do the trio idea, but also have Valkyrion referenced in a spell/trap, like how the older versions of Silent Magician/Swordsman are. 3. Have Valkyrion as another big boss of the deck, with effects referencing moments in the anime that Yugi used the magnets.
My big guess is a trio of the base 3 magnets as a monster. As for valkyrion I think it would be in a spell/trap that would reference that one trap that revived it and increased levels of revived monster
@@kevinbell5674 they literally have in rush duels though. Clearly atleast some part of konami company realized that "main deck contact fusions" dont work compared to an extra deck one.
The atk boost effect from the new skull is when it boosted alpha the magnet warrior in the exodia duel the taking an opponents monster effect I'm not sure
It would be amazing to see a Shining sarcophagus version of the Dark Magician Girl, and maybe the Black Buster Soldier. Maybe to show Joe's and Yugi's Friendship maybe a Shining Red Eye's Black Dragon monster (that can protect all other monsters or maybe 1 monster that you control by battle and card effect for the turn, to referents how Yugi tried to protect Joe and Tristan by a bully even after Joe was mean to Yugi at the start. Like if he was returning the favour.)
I hope we get more cards supporting this deck. All of the monsters for the deck so far appeared during the Ceremonial Duel. There’s still a handful of monsters that can be made for the deck.
As we've seen other cards from already existing archetypes used I am working under the assumption that anything is on the table. Buster Blader, Curse of Dragonfire and the Magnet Warrior are the first ones that come to mind as they were used in the duel itself. However one combo he used in the duel was when one of his monsters was destroyed and he used the card Soul Rope to summon Witch of The Black Forest who was used to summon Summoned Skull (I Think?) and adding Marshmallon to his hand. She's not a popular card seen, but it would be cool to see a retrain of her and maybe soul rope? Use the Soul Rope when a monster that mentions shining sarcophagus is destroyed by battle or card effect to special summon a level four or lower monster from the deck that mentions shining sarcophagus. Then have the witch's effect be something along the line of if this card is sent to the graveyard add a level four or lower monster that mentions shining sarcophagus from your deck to your hand. You can tribute this card, special summon 1 level 5 or higher monster that mentions shining sarcophagus from your deck.
Dark magician girl,Buster blader,BLS/GAIA,Kuriboh are what i would like to see most But it be cool if we got references to the god cards like statues of them or stone tablets (most likely never gonna happen)
Archfiend's increase atk point boost was most likely relates to when alpha the Magnet Warrior got boosted in yugi/atem's first duel in battle city against that exodia rare hunter
Thinking Archfiend Advent’s effects are references to Yugi’s duel against the Exodia Rare Hunter when Summoned Skull powered up Alpha The Magnet Warrior. Switching control…..duel against the Paradox Brothers switching Dark Magician with Black Skull Dragon with Mystic Box to beat Gate Guardian? Not sure sure lol
Cant wait for Dark Magician Girl, and the Jack, Queen, and Kings Kights, to make it into this archtype, with thier own support. Plus i could see Gaia, Buster Bladder, Mystical Elf, another Kuriboh, this deck just has so much potential for versitility. Lets not forget that theres even potential for new Magical Hats as well as other spells and traps Yugi is known for.
Archfiend Advent There were a number of duels in early Duel Monsters where Brain Control was used the same duel as Summoned Skull. Vs Rebecca it was used while he was on the field. The ATK bonus is a reference to Yugi's first duel in Battle City where Summoned Skull powers up Alpha the Magnet Warrior to finish off the Rare Hunter
I fell in love with this series/archetype when it came out in Legacy of Destruction and am so happy the new support is finally out, it's very fun to play and the potential for damage and board control is insane. Hopefully we'll get new support sooner than later!
The summoned skull effects is from duelest kingdom when the Pharoah said something along the lines of summoned skulls electric energy is raised by the Makiu card he played. I think.
Kind of wishing they'd do something similar but with Joey's deck. I can't be the only one who thinks it'd be pretty badass to get retrains of some of Joey's classic Monsters like Axe Raider, Battle Warrior, Time Wizard, Baby Dragon, Jinzo, Rocket Warrior, Little Windguard, Panther Warrior and Swordsman of Landstar.
Idc if it’s just nostalgia bait this is a super awesome archetype idea and the references were so intentional it’s awesome. A card they have to add absolutely has to reference the way yugioh beat the god cards with the magnet warriors
OKAY! So, I did some digging on why Summoned Skull might have that specific ability to steal control of a monster. And… I only have two best guesses 😂 Guess 1) Summoned Skull appears to have been used multiple times by other people like Joey and Pegasus. They use Monster Reborn or Grave Robber to use him against Yugi, so theoretically it’s like Summoned Skull is getting revenge. Or Guess 2) It’s a reference to capsule monsters where Grandpa used him. The entire story arc was about a Pokémon style Yugioh spinoff, so fighting a creature only for it to be on your side eventually is what Pokémon’s all about. Other than that, that’s all I’ve got in the vein of theories 🤣
Archfiend's Advent's effect of taking control of an opponent's Monster could be a reference to the first time Yami Yugi summoned it in his original duel with Kaiba in the manga. Kaiba tried to use the Blue-Eyes he stole from Yugi's Grandpa on him, but it refused to obey Kaiba's command because it didn't recognize him as his owner, allowing Yugi to clutch the victory with Summoned Skull.
Notice Mirror Force didn't get the explanation Dark Magician did since it was used by Atem in the final duel (though it can be seen in that scene from DSOD with Yugi in the game shop). Duelist Kingdom rules automatically inflicting damage when Monsters were destroyed by effects is true, but that wasn't the case with Mirror Force. It's called Mirror Force because it reflected attacks back at the opponent's monsters with damage calculation applied normally and did so throughout the first 4 seasons of the anime (including as Mirror Force Dragon's effect) and only used its real world effect of destroying Attack Position monsters by effect in season 5. Weevil's insect swarm extermination was notable as the first appearance of Mirror Force, but also the first error as 2 monsters with the same attack were counted once, which means Weevil should've lost at that point.
So I really have to throw out my thanks man. For the *longest* time I've been trying to assemble 8 decks that represented all different characters of the Duel Monsters series and this gave me my 8th. Kudos, mate. Still really wish they'd give us an Orichalcos archetype though :p
Archfiends advent effect refers to the duel of yugi vs seeker/rare hunter. when yugi used summoned skulls lightning to power up alpha the magnet warrior. Since summoned skulls had already attacked in episode 67
I think Summoned Skull’s retrained archetype effect to make other monsters gain attack points is a reference to the duel of Yugi vs Seeker in the Battle City Arc where Summoned Skull powers up Alpha The Magnet Warrior’s attack points to finish Seeker off.
I think the next step honestly would be for the archetype to start introducing extra deck cards like a retrained Gaia the Dragon Champion. Some other cards I think we’ll see get retrained into the Gold Sarc. Archetype are: -Magical Hats (maybe a quickplay spell version like the anime) -Gaia the Fierce Knight -Curse of Dragon -Celtic Guardian -Spellbinding Circle -The Face Cards (maybe like Gadget Trio we get a “Royal Court Trio”) -Black Luster Soldier
So this archetype is not to be confused with the "King's Sarcophagus" and "Horus" cards that have been plaguing Master Duel in recent months. The ones where they get sent to the GY, special summon themselves while King's Sarcophagus is on the field, the monsters cannot be destroyed while KS is on the field, and if KS is destroyed, the Horus monsters activate a whole bunch of effects, and then them being Lv7 they bring out some of the most overpowered Xyz monsters, or become materials for spamable Link monsters. could you make a video explaining this specific archetype and their playstyle?
Archfiend's Advent's effects are references to other Summoned Skull retrain cards and generic "archfiend" related cards--the 500 attack point boost is a reference to the fusion re-train, "Archfiend's Manifestation" which boosts the attack points of all "Summoned Skull" monsters by 500; the second effect to take control of an opponent's monster is a reference to the Archfiend-archetype equip-spell "Falling Down," which equips itself to an opponent's monster to let you take control of it, but "Falling Down" will destroy itself if you do not control an "Archfiend" card.
Easily the magnet warriors or buster blader. As for others (I’d say oddball choices) would be neat if the added magician of black chaos, breaker the magical warrior and possibly red eyes. Circling back to the buster blader they could even add a fusion where it’s a retrain of dark paladin.
The atk boost from Archfiend could just be running theme from the other Summoned Skulls cards, the xyz, synchro, ritual, fusion variants, they all boost other summoned skulls by 500. Those cards also have the same naming theme, "Archfiend's Ascent, Archfiend's Manifestation", etc etc. Also its a reach, but theirs a Archfiend spell card called Falling Down, a snatch steal type of spell card that needs a Archfiend monster on the field to use.
It's not a solo yugi card, but a version of BLS that ALSO scales off of the levels of the tributed monsters would be very cool. Having S!Swordsman and S!Magician grow with their levels is cool, but it's not functional for synchro or xyz summon... I feel like they set this up nicely for a very unique ritual summon. Also, while we are at it, a retrain of Silent Paladin that's actually decent would be appreciated. 👌
When Yugi summoned the summoned skull during his last duel with the Pharaoh, I think he attacks Gaia and the gang talks about how surreal it is to see Yugi’s monsters fighting each other. That might be what the “take control of an opponent’s monster” effect references
Idea for a Joey version of this: risky roulette series. For the staple card: Risky Roulette. Effects: 1) after an initial die is rolled, or a coin is flipped(except by this card’s effect) you can force a do over 2) twice per turn if a Gemini monster is on the field its effects can be activated without using an additional summon. Then flip a coin. -Heads: special summon 1 Gemini monster or one monster that mentions risky roulette. -Tails: send one card from your hand to the graveyard at random. 3) if this card would be removed from play by opponent card effects: flip a coin. -H: negate the effect and if you do banish that card and one card from your deck for x(based on die roll) turns, then add those cards to hand. -T: this card is banished along with 2 cards from your hand or field. For some ruling purposes, the effects are per card. Thus if you have 2 risky roulettes you can redo a flip caused by the other one. If anyone wants to add anything , write the original card name and then the new effect it would have. The effect would need to A) relate back to the card in manga/anime. B) be gambling related. C) be a Gemini effect.
14:35 this was actually very helpful because it confirmed for me that these monsters can go higher than level 12, as noted by the level 20 Silent Magician Zero
Summon skull added attack points to another monster in Yuki first battle city dual against seeker. He didn’t take control of the monster, but he raised Alpha the magnet Warriors attack points because of plants.
There are two cards id love to see turned into Shining Sarcophagus versions we got Dark magician why not dark magician girl? Second id like to see is the classic Big Shield Gardner Yugi played it consistently as his second ace defender to build strategies around after giant soldier of stone and mystical elf which im sure both already have been put into other Archetypes already and wasnt seen after duelist kingdom.
Summoned Skull was also used against Rebecah, with Brain Control taking the Millennium Shield. In terms of Attack Boost, Makiu the Magical Mist changed the weather in Duelist Kingdom and made the Great Moth soaked, which boosted Summoned Skull's ATK from 2,500 to 3,500.
Summoned skull's boosting effect was during the anime when it boosted one of the magnet monsters' attack The control effect is a reference that Yugi uses brain control while he controls summoned skull
Archfiend's advent attack boosting effect sounds like a version of seal of orichalcos. Even though afak he never used summons skull in waking the dragons arc
Valkyrion the Titanium Magna Warrior Level 8 EARTH Rock 3500 ATK 3850 DEF if you control “Shining Sarcophagus”: you can special summon this card from your hand in defense position, and if your LP are lower than your opponent’s, gain 2000 LP. During the main phase: you can tribute this card; Special Summon up to 3 Level 4 or lower monsters that mention “Shining Sarcophagus”, that are banished, or in the GY. You cannot special summon monsters from the extra deck for the rest of this turn. When You can only use each effect of “Valkyrion the Titanium Magna Warrior” once per turn.
Archfiend's effect is that because of the Beatdown format combo of Soul Exchange into Summoned Skull dominating the format. The card is a Beatdown format players dream come true (minus not being in the format).
I don't think we can give Konami enough praise for this decision because it allows people who were fans of the anime to play this "Yugi deck" while not being a total brick of a deck and allowing old players to comeback to the game with a deck that they can recognize. Plus the synergy with all these cards, art call backs, and effects really truly makes you feel like the King Of Games.
I think the effect of adding 500 atk points from the new Summoned Skull comes from when it boosted one of the Magnet Warriors when a Yugi was dueling the Rare Hunter with the Exodia Deck
I loved the Silent monsters back in the day, and I'm glad that they are brought back. This deck may not be Meta-relevant, but I am willing to give it a shot on Master Duel.
Something I wonder, did Yugi cheat in Duelist Kingdom? Yes, but how many cards was actually in his deck? He couldn't add anymore and he said he never changed his grandpa's deck, but he lost five cards. Does that mean Yugi was using a 35 card deck in season 1?
If I were to predict 1 more card that should totally make it into the archetype in the future, is Valkyrion the Magna Warrior. That's the card that defeated the Egyptian Gods so it HAS to be in the plans xD As for Summoned Skull's, there was already a retrain of it that incorporated the magical mist into the effect, it was a Gemini monster meant as a material for the retrain of Black Skull Dragon (the Fusion with Red-Eyes). The retrained Red-Eyes counterpart on the other hand incorporated Inferno Fire Blast into its effect. The +500 ATK eff is probably a wink at the Ritual/Fusion/Synchro/Xyz counterparts Summoned Skull randomly got back in the Pendulum era. The control effect if I had to guess will replace Brain Control and Change of Heart for this version of Yugi's deck.
I love this. I’m a little tired of archetypes where every monster looks similar and has the archetype keyword in its name. I loved the hodgepodge nature of early Yugioh and this brings it back a bit. I hope they make similar things for more characters
Guys, the Summoned Skull effect is so obvious. It’s his original vanilla lore: “A fiend with powers for confusing the enemy.” That’s the effect for taking a monster.
I like how most shining sarcophagus cards can be searched outside that spell since the millennium puzzle power allows yami to add any card when he activates the power.
I think Archfiend Advent's effect to take control of a monster may be a reference to Pegasus stealing it and turning it into a Toon. It could also be a reference to how it helped Joey fight Marik's brainwashing or when he used Brain Control against Rebecca while having it.
Archfiends Advent refers to the Battle City Arc, where yugi defeats the Rare Hunter that stole Joey's Red-Eyes Black Dragon by adding summoned skulls atk to alpha the magnet warrior atk points. And to Yugi's duel vs Rebecca when using brain control while summoned skull was on the field.
I love this archetype! Thanks to the internet, I managed to play with it, and it is AMAZING! I hope a retrain of Dark Magician Girl is made for this archetype someday though.
the summoned skull retrains attack boosting effect could be a reference to the duel with the exodia rare hunter where summoned skull boosted alpha's attack to do the damage needed to win
I feel the first effect of Archfiend's Advent is reference to when Atem beat a Monster because his attack was doubled because he had lightning and Weevil's monster was wet That 500 extra only, of course
Archfiend's Advent has a few ideas for what it's referencing. For the control portion, it could be a reference to Brain Control or Change of Heart, cards Yugi has used in his deck, or possibly a reference to the Toon Skull from the Duelist Kingdom finale. IDK on this one. The power increase was a bit tricky, the only reference I could get off the top of my head was an odd interaction between Summoned Skull and Alpha the Magnet Warrior, when Summoned Skull's electricity gave Alpha an attack increase of 200. Also, there's one card that flew under the radar that should be mentioned, "Spell Card: Monster Reborn", who's effect is exactly like Monster Reborn, the only difference being that Spell Card is a quickplay. How does that relate? The literal last play Atem made during his duel with Yugi that gave birth to the Shining Sarcophagus family, when Atem used Monster Reborn to revive Slifer the Sky Dragon in the battle phase just before Yugi countered it with Golden Sarcophagus. As TGS said in his review of the duel, that was an illegal move since Monster Reborn is a normal spell, not quickplay, which meant that Atem couldn't use Monster Reborn to summon Slifer. Well, as it turns out, Konami heard that.
Dark Magician Girl seems the most likely candidate for another Shining form. Could also say Curse of Dragon, Buster Blader, the Face Knights or Celtic Guard?
Archdiend's Advent's attack increase references when atem used summon skull to increase his magnet warrior's attack to go for game during his duel against the rare hunter that had exodia

Yugi used Dark Magician in DSOD. Gandora Geas references DSOD
@thefonzpart I'm aware, also gandora could just as easily reference the original.
And yet this Dark Magician doesn't mesh well with his other cards as Eternal Soul can't get it out of the graveyard
@@franknova987 there's much better targets for his effect than eternal soul.
Irónically Buster Blader is also icónic Aten Card.
If anything the Magnet Warriors would fit better
I LOVE Archfiend's Advent's design. I know it's just a gold SS, but I love seeing gold/yellow with purple.
people have said it already, but ill put them together here.
Since Dark Magician is in this series, I would love to see Dark Magician Girl added to the series to see what she would look like in this~
My best guess without researching further as to why the new Summon Skull lookalike steals an opponent's monster is, skull archfiend of lighting was apart of the archfiend archetype; and they had a card called falling down.
7:02 His effects are probably from his archetype. Gain 500 (Archfiend Palabyrinth) & Take control of a monster (Falling Down)
I’m so happy you finally covered my first physical deck!
I really hope they give more retrains into this archetype based on the final duel…Gaia, BMG, Buster Blader, maybe a monster with all 3 Magnet Warriors on it haha
Archfiends Advent is a reference to Yugi's Brain Control card. It does the same effect that lasts until the End Phase, before going back to the opponent, just without taking Life Point Damage.
before the errata nuttered it into oblivion
It’d be cool if we got the magnet warriors in this series. Some things they could do:
Make a Valkyrion retrain that is a Fusion Monster like in the manga.
@@kevinbell5674 nah normal magnets deserve the fusions not a shining sarc one
@RedTheWeeb They'll never do that, though.
This is my 2nd favorite deck. It's so much fun. I'd really like to see a Blockman retrain added to the archetype.
Dark magician girl,Buster blader,BLS/GAIA,Kuriboh are what i would like to see most
But it be cool if we got references to the god cards like statues of them or stone tablets (most likely never gonna happen)
Archfiend's increase atk point boost was most likely relates to when alpha the Magnet Warrior got boosted in yugi/atem's first duel in battle city against that exodia rare hunter
I'd love to see some Shining Sarcophagus Magnets, Gaia and Shield Gardna
Thinking Archfiend Advent’s effects are references to Yugi’s duel against the Exodia Rare Hunter when Summoned Skull powered up Alpha The Magnet Warrior. Switching control…..duel against the Paradox Brothers switching Dark Magician with Black Skull Dragon with Mystic Box to beat Gate Guardian? Not sure sure lol
The Summoned Skull retrain might be a reference to the other versions of Summoned Skull like the fusion, synchro, xyz, or ritual varients
Archfiend Advent
There were a number of duels in early Duel Monsters where Brain Control was used the same duel as Summoned Skull.
The retrain summoned skulls power increasing effect could be referencing how Summin Skull's electric abilties buffs certain monsters
Archfiend-effect is from when peguas captured dark magican and yugi summoned skull to counter it
I've been waiting for you to do this one. I knew you would do the anime justice with the archetype.
So I really have to throw out my thanks man. For the *longest* time I've been trying to assemble 8 decks that represented all different characters of the Duel Monsters series and this gave me my 8th. Kudos, mate. Still really wish they'd give us an Orichalcos archetype though :p
Honestly, I want to see more of Yugi's old monsters from Duelist Kingdom to make combacks; like Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress and Feral Imp
And Yugi’s toy deck from the R manga is finally getting more representation and support as well!
I feel like Archfiend’s Advent is a clear reference to Brain Control, which I think Yugi has used before.
Archfiends advent effect refers to the duel of yugi vs seeker/rare hunter. when yugi used summoned skulls lightning to power up alpha the magnet warrior. Since summoned skulls had already attacked in episode 67
Archfiend Skull ability is from the battle city tournament against the headhunter who stole Joey Red Eyes Black Dragon ⚫️
I think Summoned Skull’s retrained archetype effect to make other monsters gain attack points is a reference to the duel of Yugi vs Seeker in the Battle City Arc where Summoned Skull powers up Alpha The Magnet Warrior’s attack points to finish Seeker off.
They should 100% make a structure deck for this archetype alongside the new Blue eyes stuff
I really want to see the magnet warriors as a shining sarcophagus archetype
It’s a reference to brain control when ever he would use it during duelist kingdom
I think the next step honestly would be for the archetype to start introducing extra deck cards like a retrained Gaia the Dragon Champion.
Some other cards I think we’ll see get retrained into the Gold Sarc. Archetype are:
-Magical Hats (maybe a quickplay spell version like the anime)
-Gaia the Fierce Knight
-Curse of Dragon
-Celtic Guardian
-Spellbinding Circle
-The Face Cards (maybe like Gadget Trio we get a “Royal Court Trio”)
-Black Luster Soldier
15:09 kuriboh, of course
I would like to see all of the original normal monsters like mystical elf, winged guardian of the fortress in this archetype in the future.
Man this deck is so simple and straight to the point. A joy to use.
Here’s hoping we get a Yugi vs Bakura duel breakdown.
Ties that bind name is a reference to the duel links verison of yugi's skill named The Tie That Bind. 😊 ❤
Effects:
1) after an initial die is rolled, or a coin is flipped(except by this card’s effect) you can force a do over
2) twice per turn if a Gemini monster is on the field its effects can be activated without using an additional summon.
The effect would need to
A) relate back to the card in manga/anime.
B) be gambling related.
C) be a Gemini effect.
The Man-Emperor of Mankind approves of all of the gold.
Kitten feels his Emperor needs a new hobby.
@@Dragon66898kitten should first summon the washing machine in attack position
I love the idea behind this, I loved seeing Yugi grow and the final duel against Atem is still one of my favorites 😍
My favorite is Yugi vs Yami Bakura (manga). And yes I said manga version because Yugi only lost Life Points was via Gandora.
This whole deck sounds like what toons should have been.
I think Archfiend could be a small reference to fusing Summon skull with Red -Eyes Black Dragon.
14:35 this was actually very helpful because it confirmed for me that these monsters can go higher than level 12, as noted by the level 20 Silent Magician Zero
The attack boost for summoned skull could be a reference to when it boosted the magnet warriors in battle city
Summon skull added attack points to another monster in Yuki first battle city dual against seeker. He didn’t take control of the monster, but he raised Alpha the magnet Warriors attack points because of plants.
wait hold on, that ties that bind artwork is actually really adorable i love it
There are two cards id love to see turned into Shining Sarcophagus versions we got Dark magician why not dark magician girl?
Summoned skull's boosting effect was during the anime when it boosted one of the magnet monsters' attack
The control effect is a reference that Yugi uses brain control while he controls summoned skull
Archfiend's advent attack boosting effect sounds like a version of seal of orichalcos. Even though afak he never used summons skull in waking the dragons arc
Valkyrion the Titanium Magna Warrior
Level 8 EARTH Rock
3500 ATK 3850 DEF
if you control “Shining Sarcophagus”: you can special summon this card from your hand in defense position, and if your LP are lower than your opponent’s, gain 2000 LP.
Silent magician is also a reference to her support card “silent burning” which is more direct with the battle phase clause and naming.
That's the card that defeated the Egyptian Gods so it HAS to be in the plans xD
As for Summoned Skull's, there was already a retrain of it that incorporated the magical mist into the effect, it was a Gemini monster meant as a material for the retrain of Black Skull Dragon (the Fusion with Red-Eyes).
This deck sounds really fun to use and i hope it get's added to md soon so i can use it
Guys, the Summoned Skull effect is so obvious.
I feel the first effect of Archfiend's Advent is reference to when Atem beat a Monster because his attack was doubled because he had lightning and Weevil's monster was wet
That 500 extra only, of course
I love to see Buster Blader, Magnet Warriors, and Blockman to be part of the Shining Sarcophagus series/archetype
Definitely some of his vanilla monsters. Celtic Guardian, Winged dragon guardian of the fortress, Gaia the list just goes on
Archdiend's Advent's attack increase references when atem used summon skull to increase his magnet warrior's attack to go for game during his duel against the rare hunter that had exodia
