I don't go for the theatrical start or strong presence of foot-tapping personally but I think you have a light emotive voice and a hand for the guitar sound. That's cool Ramblin Bob. Keeping the tunes alive for younger ones that follow.
Very nice and interesting work, Ramblin’ Bob! I’m a musician too and would love to connect and know what you think of my guitar/piano music. Greetings from US. 😊💕
I learned it from the original 1931 recording before I knew the '67 video even existed, but I agree the alternating and slower tempo sounds and looks better. The original he had to speed up to fit on the 3 minute shellac records.
So to change it to minor i just need to turn the f# down a semitone ? Nice, now i know why a fahey song i've been playing is a little off on the G string. Thanks mate.
moreover, I came here because he uploaded a great live video of Skip James performing this (his) song. So you should thank him for that and check out that video if you haven´t already.
Good start, keep working at them blues and your going to get it sooner or later. You have a great voice and you have put a lot of work in to be able to learn a Skip James song. I think you need to sit in a graveyard with a bottle of whiskey one night and play this song till the sun comes up. Then I think you will be a bit closer. Anyway, good effort.
its ok but its not cool to post it under one of the best blues performance ever played .. bUT Man you play good and way better i will ever play in my life but ... for me its kind of a no go to put his own shit under the name from skip James only if its better than his performance but to be hones its miles away from him ... !!
Kudos on having the tenacity to try to understand what Skip musta saw! Great Guitar work and talent keep pickin bro! I have been playing around 50 years and can alway tell when know nothing’s run down a pickers abilities. They generate and are the authors of anti music... ! Make music not asses out of yourselves.....
I believe it too. Keeping this music alive and if they don't like it because they think they own it perhaps they might stay quiet on the matter rather than pour hate on a person.
Good work!. At first, I honestly thought this was a commercial for a furniture store...
The opening scene was so awful I thought it was porn.
@@RErnie-gv1hv it's not? I might not keep watching, then...
Some butt smacking would've been better percussion than the tap shoes
I like it, you nailed it
I Lov This Episode! keep Going and sweep that broom!
It's good to see lefties like myself I have seven guitars all made left handed good quality to
Great clip! Guitar, voice, version (Skip would be proud)! Liked the editing views. Thanks!
You know what's wonderful about a great song? It's that it sounds great, no matter who plays it.
Great cover!👍🍻
The tapping is literally louder than the playing.
Great cover. It brings a new sound to the original song for sure. Keep grinding Ramblin' Bob
I listened to the whole thing and didn’t cringe.
Good job. I think the irony in the visuals is kinda cool. Make a skit out of it

Go to 1:27 and avoid all that silliness. Or, just listen to Skip James or Chris Thomas King (ua-cam.com/video/laWj4OOGo7c/v-deo.html)
Great version !!! Now i gotta hear the skip james version from germany !!!
Heck yeah.
could try alternating your feet left right like Skip did in the 67 video, but awesome job all around!
