Im preparing to sell a few 20 acre remote and rugged off grid properties in Lemhi county near the Salmon river. Partial walk in access which limits unwanted visitors. HMU if interested. 65k price. What’s with all the healthcare in Idaho? Every place claimed to have “healthcare” as a big part of the local economy. Frankly, I would be put off by that after the events of the last three years. Put off BIG TIME. I would not want to own property in an area next door to such a lying, profiteering and criminal industry.
Doctors don't want to practice in Idaho. The laws are really messed up and they could go to jail by doing a necessary procedure.
A lot of people want to live rural, but not so rural that they have to drive multiple hours to get to the nearest hospital.
From an economical stand point, it is a sign of potential growth in the area. If it's a big enough town to have a hospital, there's also likely to be a bank, grocery store, maybe even a family dollar and a sit down restaurant. The other side of the coin is a place that doesn't have all that, and is likely to not attract as many people into developing it out.
I totally understand not appreciating the joke of a "health" care system in America but it's still relevant information to most.
