BYD also make a bigger, more luxurious Tesla Model 3 rival called the Seal which we've reviewed here: ua-cam.com/video/Oq_KO3BlP2o/v-deo.htmlsi=DNCvUnCT21OcGOGn
The car drives OK, annoying glitches, here are some The scheduled charging is intermittent, sometimes it works sometimes as soon as you plug it in, it starts charging. Various infotainment glitches, ie radio crashes where no changing channel is possible. Access to driving function won't be there. Until the system is shutdown and restarted. Recently I can't access the car from my mobile (android smartphone) some days on first startup an error appears on the driving display, but it disappears after a few minutes. The out air temperature not working. On the positive note, I like the way it drives!
Unfortunately not but that doesn't mean there won't be one in the future. BYD already have a hybrid version of the Seal (called the Seal DM-i) that they sell in China only. /Jamil
If you have seen the Chinese BYDs go up in flames for no reason then you know why your money will do the same. How can he be so enthusiastic about this badly-made ‘thing‘.
We're happy to report that the car did not combust and showed no signs of doing so. The blade battery technology makes these far more resistant to setting on fire. /Jamil
In fact petrol and diesel cars are proportionally responsible for a lot more fires in cars than electric. And EVs are getting better and safer every year. New battery tech is already in production that makes EV car fires extremely unlikely. I wonder if you would be as negative if these cars were made by a UK company?
The level of convenience really depends on your use case scenario / lifestyle. People who do a lot of urban driving benefit from driving EVs over ICE cars /Jamil

threat to the golf ( think they stopped production or stopping) , i would say more but i am rolling about with laughter , the dolphin might have a go at the Vauxhall Mokka ev , maybe
That’s easy! It’s because your phone battery doesn’t have thermal management, so its battery will get super hot or super cold, which seriously shortens its life. EV batteries do have thermal management, hence why they have 8-10 year warranties. That’s far longer than any engine 🙂
Yeah, but only just. If BYD keeps expanding like this we might see them continue to trading blows for most sold EVs. No one else has really come that close to Tesla in a while
Right BYD, yes I going to rush out and buy 2 for good measure. I think not let’s see the residuals after 3 years and the cost of spares and delays in getting them on a slow boat from China. 😂😂😂
Boring housewife EV , boring shape , only seen 2 . Both were driven by little wifeys. Shape wise could be a 2014 model , maybe with exception of rear lights cluster . When the lady in front of me braked a measly red tiny brake light appeared about a 2 inch square , totally inadequate in today's tec and safety advancement. Bet these are no more than 14 k sterling in china once you compare to the yuan

All milk floats look hilarious, but this monstaerty beat's them hand up😊
We still have a few old school neighbours who get milk delivered by electric float near us at 4/5 ish am most mornings 😂
WTF is a monstaerty??? :-))
After 14 months and 15000 miles of driving an MG4 SELR, would I buy another one, you guessed it right, not in my life time again.
Why is that?

How much did china pay you for that intro line? It must have been quite a good.y amount you will need it as your followers leave in droves…
Not a penny. We've been watching this brand and VW closely in recent years and it lines up.

As the volume of EVs on UK roads increases, so will the charging infrastructure. It's just a matter of time
