For me, battery configuration was an important factor. When comparing BYD's 60 kwh battery to MG's 64 kwh battery, the BYD battery is LFP compared to CNM for MG's. This means BYD's battery is safer, more environmentally friendly, more durable, and can be charged to 100% over and over again. Had my Dolphin for 1 month now, and super happy with it.
I have the dolphin. Absolutely love it. The xpower is a 1 trick pony with an awful range if used how it should be 😂. I've had the MG4 cupra born and niro and I prefer the dolphin in all aspects. Change the ling longs tyres if you live in the UK!! Also the xpower paint isn't covered by the paint protection policys so watch out for repairs...
Many thanks for your comment! Yes, the XPower is very appealing. Bjorn Nyland posted some good reviews on the XPower a few weeks ago: ua-cam.com/video/j-mqWubz5jc/v-deo.html
Unfortunately for BYD, they're already getting a reputation for assembly and reliability issues. :^/ If they truly want to be a big global player, quality should be their focus for the moment.
In fairness that hasn't stopped Tesla ;-) But yes, I've seen Electric Viking's videos on BYD reliability. And you definitely have a point! Thanks for commenting!

BYD Dolphin highest trim definitely wins against the lower MG4 trim for the price, if you have a few thousand more go for the MG4 XPower.

Agree it need improving but brands like Tesla, Polestar, Nissan, BMW, Audi, Merc all have their issues. Not to mention JLR lol.

The REAL Best Hatchback EV is the ZE1 NISSAN LEAF second generation
its a better EV used than these rubbish Chinese EV's
Next version LEAF will arrive as an SUV - no doubt with a significantly larger battery. But yes, definitely a ground breaking vehicle.
Are you racist 😂😂😂. I have Seal. I surely say this is best car in my 40 years whole life
No not even close. The Leaf is horribly dated now, and the lack of active battery cooling is a major issue IMO.
