    What a great sewing room! You have a lot of tips that I am going to implement into my own sewing room. Your grandmother is a very talented woman! My daughter is currently pregnant and due July, and I don’t know what the baby will be but I hope it’s a girl so I can teach her to sew like my grandmother taught me. ❤

    I’m new to sewing fairly and have picked it up quick. My moms a seamstress so I’ve watched her for more than 30 years. I own a thrift store and started by doing simple alterations on my items to be able to sell them. My sewing stuff is absolutely DISORGANIZED. I’ve got some new wire shelves and I’m thinking of converting a jewelry cabinet into a sewing cabinet. I really appreciate ya doing these videos to help us ❤

    Love how you organize your sewing space! I will probably keep my
    sewing room, minimalist as possible, one project at time! Maybe I
    can keep 2 to 3 kinds of fabric in my shelf and once I get done with
    those that's the only time I'll buy another so that I will not stock it
    in my shelf! I will follow how you organize your room, perfectly done!

    can't comment on the stuck in reverse electronic maching, know nothing about them, for the kenmore only sews forward, guessing there's dirt/ lint blocking the connection or a piece snapped off. when i had a mechanical machine stuck in reverse, it just needed a spray with jig a goo, sat with time to activate & loosen. sweet little room

    Tamara, I love it. Can you come help me? LOL Just kidding. My room is an absolute mess. I want to get it like yours. Your grandma obviously saw the talent in you. How do you storage unfinished projects? Should they be by season ? i alsohave another question. I am working on cardboard folding and have a huge wall unit with doors. How do you think I can use that? Thanks

    • @TamarasJoyDIY
      @TamarasJoyDIY  Рік тому

      Ha Ha! Thanks Lutisha! I can't seem to enjoy sewing when my room is a mess. I just did a video about WIPS where I talk more about how I store them: ua-cam.com/video/ll5rEQ3f9F0/v-deo.html As for the unit with doors sounds like a great way to have your comic book board fabric stored. I would suggest placing them like you would a book. Happy Organizing!

    I’m new to your channel. I have started making junk journals and love it but I also want to begin sewing more things. I’m a beginner at sewing but I have a beautiful sewing machine that is somewhat complicated (because I get excited and buy stuff). It is a Jansen I think. I am retired but wow time does fill up. I plan to watch your videos to learn. By the way, just wondering, are you Canadian? I live in Ontario and it is good to have one items priced Canadian at times.

    • @TamarasJoyDIY
      @TamarasJoyDIY  2 місяці тому

      I am so sorry Angela! That holder is a heavy marble utensil holder I found at my local Home Sense. It is something I can't link to but if you look around I am sure you can find something similar. Just make sure it is heavy so it won't tip over if you fill it with taller items like long scissors.

  • @JanetBoitos-qf7jj
    @JanetBoitos-qf7jj Рік тому

    Sorry. Another quick question. The things you have stored in bins (that you can’t see-through) is it hard to forget about them? Out of sight, out of mind. If I can’t actually see my pretty things I don’t know where they are and forget I have.

    • @TamarasJoyDIY
      @TamarasJoyDIY  Рік тому +1

      Hi Janet. That would be the case except that I have each bin labeled in the top corner so I know what is in each bin. The only one that has items I may forget about is my craft bin because it’s a bit of a catch all bin 🫣
