Kimberly, your blocks came out great 😊 I am not surprised, Lori patterns are beautiful too. I love her new patterns coming out in the fall. Thank you for the great tips they are very helpful.❤
What a great show!! So inspirational!! The objects were a butter mold, a rug beater for cleaning , a clothes ringer for a washing machine, a milk bucket, and the hands to handle hot things.
Thank you for the awesome video. Prayers for a safe surgery and quick recovery for your son. My guesses are : a biscuit cutter, glove shaper, cream bucket, rug beater and a clothes wringer.
Thank you Kimberly for showing all the beautiful fabrics and quilts. Do they let you quilt in prison, because I would have to rob a bank to get all the phenomenal fabrics you showed today! Ha ha ha! Have a great day!
The Liberty Tana Lawn IS 100% cotton. It is made with Egyptian cotton which has a longer staple, therefore making it finer and more silky feeling. It is also more tightly woven than regular quilting cotton. The Liberty from Riley Blake is printed on regular quilting cotton which is a completely different substrate, and not as high quality as the cotton from which the Tana Lawn is made. Riley Blake has licensed some of the designs from Liberty of London to print their quilting cottons.
What a piece of art! Your work on the Mercantile fabric quilt blocks are beautiful! I think it would be stunning to do custom quilting on it. It for sure is a quilt to be proud of❤
Fun video and it absolutely made my day. You showed my Moonbeams quilt which was so exciting to see! Gave me the lift I needed when I saw it while riding the train home after dropping my kiddo off for his all summer trip. I was a little sad and that perked me right up! ❤
Thanks for this video! Kimberly, if TCU doesn’t work out, Oxford would love to have her. My daughter-in-law is one of the counselors on campus if she would ever need to go. She’s there for everything.
Kimberly you always show us beautiful work. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and vacation. Thank you all for showing us the beautiful quilts and fabric and your hard work ❤
@@lindadoran8702 When I was a senior in high school, my English teacher, a well-traveled woman, which was unusual for the very small town I lived in, told us that it was important for the various differences in language we have in areas of the US to be appreciated. I didn’t quite understand what she was telling us until I left that geographic area for college. Suddenly, I found people who didn’t understand a few of the things I said or pronounce words the same way I did and vice versa. Obviously, I have never forgotten her wise words.
Dracula is a vampire. They have 14th and suck blood and live forever and can’t have any daylight. Whereas, Frankenstein is like a patchwork person. He was stitched together with lots of different parts from graves that Dr. Frankenstein put together, and then his monster was struck by lightning and brought to life. He is big and tall and heavy, and move slowly whereas Dracula can fly and can change into a bat. I’m sorry you missed out on all the horror films when you were kid. We used to love to go to the Outside theater, and of course, scared each other as children. All in fun.
Love all the spooky and sweet color ways! Mine is totally scrappy fat quarters of print. Very printed print lol. I haven't shared a picture because i ran out of the narrow border and i keep forgetting where to share it lol. But it's so fun! Oh and i mis-cut my vampires pumpkin 🤦♀️and had to improvise, but it's ok lol it's unique.
I love the Friday livestream videos but have to watch them later due to work. I’ve always wondered why the wait time for the video to start is so long?
Hello Elisabeth! Are you familiar with chapters? If not, they provide sections that tell you what is being discussed or happening in that section. For instance, the loading screen that you consider too long can be skipped by clicking on the Intro in this video. The chapters can be found in the description box and in the timeline of the video by clicking and dragging. I'm not sure if the other channels that you watch are live like we were in this video but there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that is not seen by viewers and sometimes takes longer like having to connect to a program outside of UA-cam that allows Kimberly to see questions that come in live.
I’ve occasionally looked at the Lori-star irons, can you say which model you are using? =). And…I love this idea/method to piece a block and then make it a circle =). Great idea to make the background 4-patch bigger to give wiggle room to square up ❤
I’m sad I didn’t get to watch the live today. Bummer I had to work ha ha. However, I do have a question for Kimberly. Would you combine flannel and quilting cotton together in a quilt?
Hello L! Kimberly typically uses one type of fabric in her quilts but it is possible to do. If you have Facebook, you could ask in Kimberly's Stitch Squad and I'm sure someone could tell you their experience sewing with flannel and quilting cotton.
Kimberly, hanging on your set this morning was the Happy Go Lucky quilt. I have all my fabric cut and ready to start making my blocks. I'm a little challenged because the quilt is set on point. I know you always cut bigger and trim down. What size did you cut the settings triangles? The pattern calls for 9 3/4” and 5 1/4”. Thanks so much.
@Kimberly - you might like the book Unexpected Spy by Tracy Walder. Last I heard she was teaching here in Dallas but she was in the CIA and FBI. It was a great book and it's on Audible if you don't like to read.
“Crazy Kimberly Math….” 😂😂 The best line! I hope you enjoy your time away; and get some quilty stuff done as well! I’m working on some patriotic things!! Happy quilting! 🧵🇺🇸
@@FatQuarterShopTX I went to the Riley Blake website for the free Mercantile pattern you spoke about in this video and couldn't find it. I'd love to aquire it and quilt along.
Kimberly should get video or download Frankenstein with Boris Karloff and Dracula with Bella Lugosi and watch with Kevin and the kids. They say women fainted at Dracula in the theaters but now you all would probably die laughing.
I had my knee replaced and have not been watching… HAVE YOU BEEN FOLLOWING THE YOUNG THUG trial in Fulton county Georgia? It’s AMAZING! They gave their star witness immunity and then he started saying he committed the murder! But he’s immune so they can’t charge him.
I’m gonna use a large dinner plate for my circle cause I’m old school 😉 what a beautiful quilt!

Love the comment.
Use you own stash
That’s very funny 😂😂😂

Theresa you knocked it out of the park in the primitive gatherings blocks you made then go from blah to amazing🎉

I can't hardly wait for the book. I want to do the summer sunrise (hope that's right). Milk bucket, wringer for wash day and a rug beater.

Trialing Gatherings quilt is phenomenal. Most beautiful quilt
Another great video, Kimberley. You truly are a stellar sewer and quilter. And I really enjoyed seeing all the new fabrics. Thank you.
Love seeing the fabrics and all that Kimberly and crew are stitching! Thank you!
I love the fabrics you picked. I bought the flower girl 1/2 yd bundle from you. Wish I would have bought yardage in the background fabric you used. 💕
Here come the Sun is so bright and pretty. Hope you and your family have a wonderful time on your vacation.
Love when you show your progress. Can’t wait to start the row quilt.
I really enjoyed this video. Loving the liberty and Tilda fabrics.
Enjoyed the video and all the fabrics. This sports loving quilter wishes you did carry team fabrics. 😊
Kimberly you always show us beautiful work. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and vacation. Thank you all for showing us the beautiful quilts and fabric and your hard work ❤

FQS live streams are always wonderful. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.❤️
Love the fabrics. Quilt blocks & listener quilts.
Safe travels!
I enjoy seeing the new fabrics. Where I grew up, we say point-set-a, giving the word three syllables.
When I was growing up my mother was a florist and she called them poin set E ah…..4syllables

I love Corey’s kaboodle quilt!!!!
Love your blocks and setting .
Woohoo!!! A Lori Friday. Can't wait.
Just joined the FQS Channel…looking forward to seeing all the added perks!
Kitty Christmas is fabulous. It’s very nostalgic for me. I need a pattern for it. I got some charms.
Hello Manuela! We have Charm Pack patterns www.fatquartershop.com/quilt-patterns?pattern_book_type=107
I'm doing the wall hanging of the Mystery quilt.

I love seeing all the fabric, however I wish you would zoom in more so we can see the motifs better.
I love this quilty row quilt, but I have recently finished the Sew by Row Quilt and am not ready to tackled this again.
When making the Mercantile Blocks, after apliquing the circles, I will cut out the back fabric and reserve for other projects . Much lighter!
Your Mercantile blocks in the round would look beautiful just as they are, in a wooden embroidery hoop, and hung on the wall in a sewing room.
I'm going to make the spooky and sweet banner style but flip the Dracula so it's a table runner 😊
Beautiful video❤
Love your free Halloween patterns each year. Mine will be a door hanger this year.

I’m doing the wall hanging for myself and my daughter in law.
Blau bear outdid herself! ❤❤❤🏅👏👍
I’m working on a banner! So cute pattern. You could make a pillow to match with the left over blocks!!😊
Good morning, just to let you know Tilda is not Australian designer. Fabulous colours
Tilda creator, Tone Finnanger is Norwegian.
I thought so!

Hello Sandi! Kimberly added 1" but you can use a smaller size if you are concerned about waste.
What was the name of the quilt which used Corey Yoder fabric
Hello Robyn! That is the Kaboodle Quilt Kit: bit.ly/3VLQySU

Will you be getting more of the Shoreline fabric line?
Hello Crissa! No, we are not able to buy more since Moda has not mentioned reprinting it
@@FatQuarterShopTX Sad...I am not a blue person, but that collection spoke to me.
Water your poinsettia with 50% water & 50% black coffee!!
We need some Flying Geese On A Roll paper for the Lori Holt quilt. Hint 😅
Can you give us a direct link to the pattern? I've searched all over and can't seem to find it.
Hello Cathy! Which pattern are you asking about?

Vampires Bite people for blood and to create more Vampires. Frankenstein is a monster made in a lab, one of a kind.
Tilda’s Tone is Norwegian, not Australian!
Thank you for letting us know

Most people drop the i in Pointsettia
The focus on the live stream was unusually rough today

Why not sew it like a drunkard’s path quilt?
Hello Bev! You could if you'd like.
Haha…Texans say “ Pointsetas”
