I had to replace the seal too. After a few videos I couldn't understand why I couldn't get the diaphragm back on. Literally on the verge of giving up I emailed the repair man. Then I stumbled across your video. Literally step by step and realized what I missed. Taking the weights off!!!!!! I can't believe it. 😀 only took me 20 mins to put it all back together after that. I have never been so excited....I just sat on the floor watching NOT ONE DROP LEAK! Thanks a million for such an awesome DIY video!!!!!
Thanks , great description on the replacement. Everything worked really well but at one point the front panel was not opening. After wasting some time I found that there were 2 more screws in the bottom to unscrew. Really thankful to your in-depth instructions it worked great!
Lol! The same thing happened to me! I was like what the heck I know I'm not weak but no matter what I do it's not coming off. Duh 2 more screws at the bottom. With my model I also had to unattach the retaining hose from the panel
At the same time my door lock issue occurred, it was the opportunity to figure out what was leaking. I believe my previous washer repair technician didn't align the filler tube correctly. My washer is running again thanks to your lock video. Thankfully I think cleaning and adjusting the tube will be all I need, but if it does leak now, I will return to this one for review on the dissembling sequence. Thanks for your efforts to help the rest of us!
My washing machine although the same model had a slightly different diaphragm but the instructions allowed me to independently replace this Diaphragm without having to call in a repair order! Your video repair instructions should be purchased by Samsung and distributed as they don't have any content like this on Samsung's website. Thank You!!
Amazing job. Never thought I could do this myself. The outer boot clamp ring on mine was rusted, but once I got the right part I actually completed the repair without blowing something up! Thanks so much, this was awesome.
Life saver...I couldn’t have done it without this video, especially for someone that doesn’t consider himself “handy”. It was a true blessing, thank you sir for your time!!!
Thank you very much, Worked like a charm. I was hesitant of doing this but when I saw how easy it was I jumped and thought best get to it. Did it in less than an hour early in the morning. The wife was impressed, By the time she woke up the job was done. Awesome video.
This is an excellent video. Step by step. Patient. I followed it and replaced my leaking door seal. Worked like a charm. Thank you! The only issue was taking off the front panel. There were two screws in my model at the bottom. I had to tilt the washing machine to get to them. A bit awkward since the machine is heavy. Other than that everything you need is in this video.
Awesome video! I found another video that I followed to replace mine however it wasn’t the same machine. I believe we have the same washer. The only thing I will say is that I actually didn’t have to take the weights off. By using a small amount of dish soap around the inner rim, it slid right onto the groove. Taking the clamp off was a bit of a task with the weights but we made it happen. Again, great DIY video!
I just followed your instructions as a guide for my WF210ANW model. Your explanations provided excellent advice as I adapted the concepts to an older model! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. After watching, I felt confident to try- ordering the part of Amazon. Success plus satisfaction.
Great and helpful video. I have same exact machine- only difference i encountered was the inner band tightening fastener was not counter loosening type - was regular righty tighty left loosy assembly- realistically- will take 1 hr min because most will clean up the filth buildup.
Thanks for the video it helped me out a lot. Question Why the seal boot keeps breaking? I replace it because it broke around the inside, I think the drum is not even and that’s why is breaking no water leaking or anything, if you have any idea why please give some pointers
I know this response is WAY late but you nailed it - your drum is probably wobbling. It could be one of the springs or it could be the “spider”, the mechanism that actually connects the drum to the motor. If any of those fail, the drum will wobble, causing all kinds of friction which will then tear apart the rubber. Hopefully this comment will help someone else troubleshoot in the future.
You seriously saved me today! THANK YOU! Love how calm and patient you explain things and is very good detail! Happy DIY mom needing to save some $$ today. :=D
Great video, just be aware that Samsung has made a number of changes through the years. My machine has the reverse thread clamp on large detergent hose, but the inner boot clamp is normal thread. I used some third hand clamps I had to install the inner seal by seating a small spot at the 12 o’clock index arrow and clamping it. Then doing the same at the 6 o’clock lining up the drain holes in the boot with the holes in the machine front panel and clamping there. Worked from 12 o’clock to 3 and clamped there. Inserted the seal from 3 to 6. Then removed the clamp from the 3 o’clock and did the same thing on the left side and removed the clamps. This lets you leave the outer drum balance weights in place. I’m not sure how much time if any it saves, I already had the clamps so I did it that way. Also if you already have them bicycle plastic bike tire levers work great to install the inner and outer clamps with no sharp edges if you are concerned about using a butter knife or flathead screwdriver on your new boot seal.
thanks for this video. i am debating whether i need to go ahead with this job or not. i have a small droplet of water every 10 seconds at the bottom of the front glass door of the same make and model unit. im not sure if my rubber boot is all dried up from hard water use or maybe the rear spring retainer ring is loose from vibration causing it to leak ever so slightly? anyone experience this small water droplet leakage from the front bottom part of the glass door? also, the door linkage where it locks into the washing machine has play on the metal male part connected to the door. is this loose play normal/engineered into the machine or should this attachment point not move at all?
I used this video to change out my seal and it worked but now my machine is moving all around now when i do a load and i dont understand why. I did just the things you said and didnt change anything. Help
John 14:6 KJV, "Jesus saith, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." 1 Peter 2:24 NIV, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." John 3:16 KJV, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". Romans 3:23-24 NIV, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus". John 8:12 KJV, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life". Jesus is the only WAY to God, the TRUTH of salvation, and the Breath/Bread of LIFE. ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Sins separate us from God because He's Holy. All sins will be forgiven and erased through faith in Christ Jesus. God ♥ you, is alive, merciful, faithful, truthful, and is waiting with His arms wide open FOR YOU! For Jesus did not come to establish a religion, but to become a mediator between God and men. Through the Grace of God, Jesus was given to us by paying the price at the Cross at Calvary. Repent and confess from your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you. A sinner cannot save a sinner, only a sinless person can. That sinless Being is Jesus Christ Himself. Through the faith in Christ Jesus, the sick was healed; everywhere He went, He healed the blind, the mute, the deaf, the demon-possessed, raised the dead, as well as performed many miracles; He also walked on water, turned water into wine, calmed the storm with His command, and was raised up from the dead. Miracles are still being seen today! Jesus is our helper, our healer, our refuge/protection, and our strength for when time gets tough. God is standing and knocking at the door waiting for your answer right now because THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS COMING.
Samsung might make great TVs and phones.... But they make some of the worst washing machines in the world! I recently got rid of mine after only 3 years of use because of the rattling and noise. Terrible customer service. And no it wasn't the bolts! Just got myself a Miele!
